The same - connection lost on formation lap...

Thirsty little fellas they they were tonight. I gave myself a few extra laps of fuel but that wasn't quite enough. I had to pit with 2 laps to go. I was busy fussin' with the tires and fuel in the pit settings and went into the sand. Really didn't matter because I was running back marker having been dispatched one by one running from the 8th spot early. All in all fun though. It seems like you always have someone to race with in this series and the fight is just as intense for 1st as it is at the back of the pack.

This was a blast! Qualified near the back, as usual, moved up a bit, then back again, fun racing all along, little door banging too, but all in good racing. Looked to be in for a 10th place finish when a few guys ran out of fuel that moved me up to 7th. Great racing all!

My first Spec Rhez race. Just started learning the car and track earlier in the day, so I wasn't expecting too much from this race. I thought this spec series might be fun because of the close racing and I wasn't disappointed.

Didn't qualify too well, but made up a spot or two on the first few turns, then a few more as there were some guys taking each other out. Ran in P7 until halfway through the race, then got bumped off track going into T1 by Kevin R. I was able to drive out of the gravel, but it looked like Kevin hit the wall hard ending his race. Drove OK the remaining laps and picked up a few more spots due to disco's and guys running out of fuel. Not the way I wanted to improve my standing, but that's the way racing goes sometimes. Overall, a fun first outing in the Rhez!

Ran outta gas in 4th place halfway thru the last lap. I even got onto the server earlier this afternoon and did a 22 lap test run, then put 2 more liters in for the sighting lap.
Thanks Jarrod for pushing this dimwit home. Me learn count past 10 tomorrow.

Between these and the Mini race, I think I may have found something here at R2P that I have relative pace in. It's kinda embarassing that I've found meager faint talents in all these little sh!tboxes, it'd be a lot more studly/manly if I was an F1-79 or GT badass.
Anybody want to help me bug Tim to have shoebox races more than once every 2 weeks? These races are so short and far apart, maybe they can be a support class right before some bigger races?

Oh and nice racing with you Smith, I think we swapped positions 3 times? Next time I'll have enough gas so we can take it to the end ..

RE: Tommy's Post....I'd have to agree with you Tommy. These cars are a blast to drive and with the events filling up it's possible that more events in the future would be popular. As far as it skill level to drive them vs a so called "manly" car I'd have to disagree. Small low HP cars take tons of skill to drive because momentum is king. Learning how to use momentum is a building block for RC racing and its learned in these small cars. Bud you are doing very well in these cars.....very manly indeed.

Re: "little sh*tboxes" As in real-life, smaller slower cars are more fun and much more competitive than the faster cars. I'd rather race these anytime.

This was my first race with R2P, and I was very impressed. The show was very well run, on time and by the rules. The quality of the competitors was top flight. A little proper doorbanging, as expected in these cars, but no first corner pile-up, no insane driving, no cussing and blaming. I will definitely be back for more!

I spent most of the race just two seconds behind T Christian and C Smith, couldn't quite get up to them, but enjoyed watching the very intense battle. You guys did a great job, side-by-side and nose-to-tail, and clean all the way. Too bad T Christian ran out of gas, it would have been a fight to the wire.
