Like that wasn't the hardest race I've ever competed in.

Got a crap start down into turn 1, some horrid freezes occurred and I really didn't want to take anyone out on lap 1.

Later in my first stint I came across a NAGT car, with two FABCAR's behind me. I was like "Right okay, just stay behind the NAGT and let the Fabbies pass and I'll be right".
But it's never that easy. The Fabcar drivers were so impatient, I had to watch my mirrors so carefully because they got so close that I clipped the grass and went straight into the NAGT. Thanks guys, real smooth.
That basically ended my race because I was in the pits for the long haul, got lapped by all the Fabbies twice and it was almost impossible to make up two laps.

After that I couldn't catch William Gorder. I did a stint on the harder tyres and lost so much time because I just couldn't get them to work. After that all my stints were done on Super Softs.

Well what can i say about this race? I had my heart set on racing this from the last special event that ran at Daytona. Then i had my heart attack and things didnt look good but then Danny sorted me an account out as a favour hence why i ran MDB racing colours here.

Anyway quali just couldnt put a lap together and ended 13th but knew it was a long race anyway.

got away quite well off the start and settled into a rythem sat in 10th place by lap 13 i was 9th but then on lap 14 i made a mistake exiting the final turn and spun into the pits so decided to make my stop early. Came back out in 16th place and just set about lapping as consistantly as possible, this paid off as people pitted i gained places and ended up back 9th then just set about keeping my cool and getting to the end and took places as people fell out.

Must say i really enjoyed this race and glad i decided to use this as my comeback race.

That was me in the NAGT Liam. I just had a look at the replay to see what happend there. Strange thing is ... you running into me wasn't that big of a problem to the car. 50 meters further it was Dennis who also steered right into me (for no obvious reason at all) which really caused damage and a long repair in the pits. Jan had a frontrow seat to the event and had his share too I saw.

Sorry for that George, like I say, it wasn't in my power.

I could've kept it off the grass but the Fab drivers were just too close for me to be comfortable where I was, and with it being one of the fastest corners on the ciruit the smallest movement of the wheel just screwed it big time.

Sorry to george. Got into you on lap 3 or 4. Did my drive thru and came out and got into Matt, ruining his race. Quit after that.

WOW that was intense! Was on a night shift last night and woke up just before qualifying, so went into qualifying cold and was surprised that i managed 5th.

Race-Couldn't get settled and into a rhythm in the 1st hour, had problems get my braking points right due to the lack of daylight which made me very untidy and sorry if that disrupted anyone behind. My pedals slipped off the tray they sit on twice which is a bit disconcerting. Lost 3 or 4 positions in the 1st stint due to silly little mistakes. Omar passed me during one of these silly mistakes and this was the beginning of a 2 hr battle. I have to say Omar you were awesome through the traffic while i was a lot more cautious which cost me a lot of time but managed to keep Omar in sight. I pitted a lap or 2 earlier but the time Omar pitted the gap was still the same. I managed to get passed a couple of times but never managed to shake Omar off and he re passed again. There was a few times where i thought i braked too late and was waiting for the touch and him spinning but luckily for both of us he didn't. Really wanted to push Omar hard the last few laps but when the 10 min to go came up i new i was touch and go on fuel so had to back right off. Luckily for me Phil (who kept me honest most of the race) behind had the same problem with fuel (i assume) as he backed right off too.

Just want to say thanks to all the NAGT drivers as you were all very helpful letting the faster cars through and i hope i didn't cause too many problems while i was passing.

Yeah Brian was driving very cautiously towards the end crossed the line with 0.5 litres :O

LOL Phil, i thought i was cutting it fine leaving myself with 2L!
