PCC: Bathurst

Unfortunately couldnt get the game to work once I was in the server. Got a load of textures flashing at me and the only thing I could click was leave race. Hopefully might work at the next round.

Unlucky that Zak, did not have any issues here so as you say hopefully next time out will be fine.

My race was severly compromised as were many others at the start, this is being reviewed, so past that with a badly battered car it was hope for the best.

Had a few battles along the way, and set my best lap when my car had yet again smacked the wall, must have bent something straight again :-]

Missed out a place or two by having to pit three times, once to fill up, then realised my settings had changed to fill to, and twice more to sort that out!

Please PM myself if you have any incidents you wish the admins to review.

Unfortunately, due to my PC performance, or lack of to be exact, I had to pull out. Sorry if I made someone not make it to the race, but I didn't forsee that as it ran trouble-free in offline practice. Real shame as I had no-pit strategy too.

Well didnt expect much from this race and didnt get much either.

Qualy went reasonably well and ended up P7.

Race : oh where do i start :( i think the pandemonium at the start was started by myself. I had major wheelspin off the start basically dumped the clutch to quick and lit the rears up then got a tap up the rear while the wheels were still spinning like mad which sent me into a spin, then i was like the pinball in a pinball machine. eventually it the grid cleared and i was crawling round in 25th place making my way back to the pits for major repairs to the car. came out the pits still in 25th then set about lapping as best as i could with a still badly handling car, Understeer on entry oversteer on exit :O so was fun just keeping the car pointing the right direction. didnt really get to have any battles as most cars went off or were pitting when i made places so was just a daily cruise round Bathurst for me.

Must apologise for the start sorry if it ruined anyones race :(

Well i like to make life hard for myself!!!

Ran later in Qualy to gain space but stupid me didn`t get the temps up and damaged the car crawled back to try and fix the car and put a time in - which i did eventualy, then on the outlap cold brakes + fast chicane = stuck in that gloopy gravel trap - Qualy over and back of the grid :( here of all places.

So i had to try the non-stopper since i was last. Got a decent start after my many clutch start attempts but the was carnage up front and i ended up hitting the back of Danny as he hit somebody and i slammed the barrier pretty hard :( then got going and jumped upto 21st at the first corner and just pushed as much as i could given the mammoth understeer i now had, ended up behind Pablo Garcia for quite a few laps but couldn`t find the extra speed to pass him until later on after we cut through a lot of traffic, then just kept pushing and managed to keep picking up places until i caught Steve Davis, who again held a good pace until i finaly got a run on him into T2 and after that just kept trying to keep the car on the track and preserve the tyres and fuel until i realised on the penultimate lap i was a lap short! because Phil was behind the raceleader and could inform me where he was through teamspeak :) so i pitted and dropped a place to Pablo and came out in 5th - so i decided to give it death on the last lap to see if i could catch him but it wasn`t to be - or was it? i`m not sure why yet but he lost speed going into the final turn and i took 4th back!

25th to 4th! after damage ruined the handling and at my first race at this amazing track is a damn good result for me :)

I was expecting much worse to happen.

Now i need a lie down :P

Tracking was bent after start line incident, struggled to keep the car pointing forwards from lap 1.

Had a bad begining with mistakes due to the cars damage, then i punted Ivan into t3, so sorry mate. Served my drive thru, then my throttle jammed open twice, one in the twisty but when i hit the wall it unjammed, then in to the last turn it happened again, i locked up the brakes and put it into 1st to try stop it but slammed straight into the wall.

Not much to say about this one. I got caught in the "start of destruction", but my car only had dents all around the body and was still driveable.

After the start crash, going from P18 to P26, I tried to pass Kevin on the inside up the hill but spun after tapping his door (sorry for that) and back to last place.

Could go up to P16 after my pitstop and having had some short battles with mates around my position, and when I had secured that position with 3 minutes to go with plenty of gap to the car behind, the car that had lapped me began to slow down his pace and I faced it at the braking zone after the right hand sweeper that follows the back straight. Locked my tires flooring my brakes to avoid collision and went straight to the gravel, loosing two places from start position that I was already counting in when trying to get out of the quick-sands and melting my rear tires.

On qualy I crashed into a car which spun so I had to pit for repairs and had only a timed lap. I got 9th position anyway, so more than proud with the qualy.

Me, Phil Perkins and this carnage grid distribution made the line up wreck, mainly me. I started quite well, Phil not good, and with this wrecky grid places, I had no place to avoid him so I tried to go through the grass but the car oversteered a bit so I crashed Phil with the front. Sorry about that, I served the drive through and I apologise to the people involved in the accident!

Later I was having shuttering sometimes and once on the chicane I spun because of it. Later, going into T2 James punted me (don't worry about that, it was simply not my 'weekend') and damaged the rear of the car, and the car was so difficult to drive I finally crashed (not to heavily) and I got a puncture so I retired.

Yep have reviewed the start, Ivan took his drive thru which was fair enough so thanks for self policing that one.

Unfortunately with such a tight grid one slip could cause carnage and it did. I guess as it was for many the first start with these cars it was one of those things.
