Intro to GT3 Cup (Euro)

Connection problems here in Slovenia... Got disconnected in qualify. Im really disappointed because of all the efort I did yesterday for the setup and all...

Anyway I hope I get more lucky(or better, less unlucky) next time... -_-

Same here. Looks like it was a stunning race by looking at the screenshots.

Qualy was terrible. Never got a clean lap. Also, rather than leaving a gap, some people continue to insist on racing on the outlap. One forced past and got tangled with the cars I was trying to gap and one ran into me while I was trying to gap. Use your heads in qualifying guys.

The race started fine. I started 8th and hung out for a bit to see how it would pan out. I made one pass and had several other cars take each other out and I quickly got up to 4th. I held that for a while and started to find my groove when I came up on a backmarker who spun right in front of me and I plowed into him. The car was pretty unstable after that. I came back on in 6th and had a good battle with Ari for a while, but I was having a hard time with the car. I think we ran through about 4 corners side-by-side before I hit the grass and he got by. Shortly thereafter, I lost 7th, and I limped home in 8th. I feel like all the backmarkers are out to get me lately. I think that's 3 races in a row I've been taken out by a spinning or crashing lapped car.

My first Euro event. Is there rough diving in all the GT3 Cup events? I was pretty surprised that how some people who were clearly going to get passed by me, turned down into me. Not used to that sort of thing here, but if that's what it takes, I can always turn on my "Manhattan" driving style :)

At least no connection problems for me...different ISP then Joco and Matjaz, who unfortunatly got disconnected at qully.

Got the wrong tires (hard-hard) for qualifying. That always happens to my setup after the session changes. Forgot to fix it. Was still quite happy with the 3rd place in QUAL.

At start i lost 2 places even before T1. Spinned 2 times and also bumped Ari at turn 1 of LAP5(sorry for that Ari) and waited for him to go past me. Lost few places there so realy not a good race for me so im quite happy with the result considering what all went wrong.

Grats to Conor and once again sorry to Ari.

Grats Conor, you were way too fast for me today.

I didn't get a decent qual so started 5th. Got a nice jump on the start up to second at T2 when Conor got up next to me and I had to back off a little giving 2nd away. Lap 2 Scott spun off and I got 2nd which I held for 25 laps extending my lead over 3rd to about 6 seconds and slowly gaining on Conor, gap went from 6+ to about 3.5 seconds at lap 25. Then I made a huge error in traffic exiting the final corner I got too much curbing and spun it into the gaurd rail. Then to add insult to injury I stalled it. So a 5th place finish after running a very consistant race.

I love these cars and tracks!!

I stuck to my usual plan and drove as consistently as possible. I certainly benefitted from others misfortune, but that is how it goes. "Racing" the lapped trafic almost cost me 2nd place (and put me out of touch with Kent before his spin), but fortunately the charging Mr. Michaels didn't quite get there.

That was pretty fun in these Volkswagens I mean Porches ;). Im more of a V8 fan but these things were blast to drive throughout the race.

Qually wasn't too good. I ran a 1.01.784 which was a little disappointing since I ran a lap 2 tenths faster in practice with my race setup....bleh.

The start of the race wasn't much better. I guess I had a really low 1st gear because Scott blew off of his grid and so did everyone else behind me. So, going into turn 1, we were almost 3 wide but managed to get through cleanly. A lap later, Scott spun off in turn 1 and I moved up to the top position.

For much of the first part of the race, I was just trying to be consistent with no mistakes. I wasn't setting the field ablaze with my times but I kept the car on the track and that was the most important thing IMO. Around lap 20, I started hitting heavy traffic which really slowed me down. To add to the tension, my game started to lag and synchronize so passing cars was very difficult. After all that, I had clear sailing to the finish line :).

My first R2P event and one of my first few online races. Apologies to Fernando Deutsch who I hit on the opening lap. Was running medium-hard tyres which remained good throughout the race, maybe able to go softer next time.

It was generally a lonely race except for two cars which caught and passed me. I spun after a tap from Phil (I think) on lap 19 which cost me a few seconds, but luckily only one position. I was catching Adriano's damaged car at the end but unfortunately ran out of laps to make the pass.

Pretty bad race for me. Took me while to find a decent setup as the good flow on the track. There were some drivers kind on a hurry for qualifying from the very beginning packing the field for the first lap, anyway I could not do a decent lap and started 11 on the grid. Had a good start and was able to be on 10th before the first chicane were I was punted out pretty hard by Lokman. After that I was recovering places until for some reason I got a blue flag and got passed by Larry, who actually was no lapping me, then I got rear ended again, now by Alex. So there I go again recovering places and stuck behind Larry with whom I had a good battle, until I punted him on the eses, sorry Larry.

From my point of view there was to much aggressive actions on the first lap. Cars are heavy, tires and brakes are cold, please people be more careful as you can ruin other drivers races.
