VHR: Texas Sprint

Well, that sucked. Set a personal best to qualify 8th, made it 50 yards and got caught up in the melee. I'm sorry, but these trucks are too fragile. I didn't get hit that hard, but of course the suspension is destroyed, 3 minutes in the pits, the usual.

Then after a couple laps back on track I have the leaders bearing down on me. I tried to set up to run the high side through 1 and stay out of the way, but managed to graze the wall. Again, since the truck is made of balsa wood, something broke or flatted and I couldn't hold any kind of line. I was practically sideways from there into 1, then shot back to the top of the track right into Chris Melton, I think. That sucked bad, sorry for that and to anyone else who got caught up.

Hopefully Saturday goes a little better.

Well that was interesting for sure..got caught up in the mess as well and pitted with mild damage, 160 seconds and 3 laps down i was back out on the track in 19th and with consistant lap times i finished 9th luckly. Hopefully next race goes more smoothly. Congrats to the podium and survivors.

10th on the grid and I make it through the 1st crash then I got caught up in another soon after, I had a great truck and was gaining on the lead pack after having to weave thru the meelee running in 7th...........

WOW well i started like 5th or 6th cant remember now lol.But i was right behind mark and was in the lead pack and having a blast then on the backside a couple cars in front of us got into it and i couldnt miss 1 and he put me into the pits for 261 sec and my race was over.I didnt get a dnf cause my car made it to the pits but the speed and the handle wasnt there any more at all.I was mad at first as i think i had a top 5 car but who will know.Well cant wait till this weekend to run the cup cars here guys.

I don't have the race recorded, not sure why. But the first lap crash was hideous and took out a lot of good cars. I got front end damage that caused the car to overheat if I drove it flat out. So I had to peddle the entire race and could not turn a 28. Great turn out, and nice win Tom! Need more people to use Team Speak, it works excellent and helps in avoiding crashes and helps the leaders. It's free and simple to use. There are optional overlay's and key binding tools if you need them.

I had one of the top trucks for this race and managed to miss the "Big One" because I had a good starting position but that didn't matter in this race. I started out a little loose for some reason and was just staying with the top 5 until I found Jim Barisoff sitting on the back stretch and I had nowhere to go. My night was over after the truck stopped flipping and spinning.

Just not my night...
Couldn't get up to speed on the pace lap, so the game put me in 27th for the start.
Managed to avoid the Big One & was running in 13th following Eduardo, when he lost it exiting T2 & drove me into the outside wall.
Guess it wrecked the suspension, because it wouldn't turn left, as I found out when I tried to get down to the bottom.
If I had known that I would have escaped sooner...
Damn shame, as the setup felt great.

To make matters worse on my part, I realized that I had TS mapped to the wrong button. So when I tried to say "pass me low" to the leaders, nobody heard it...it wouldn't have helped since I unintentionally went low before losing it, but it might have helped.

GRATS TOM!!! knew you were strong when we were practicing drafting!!
Tim- Maybe just a suggestion as a lot of people have a hard time to finish races caused by pile up or so, i know we souldn't be pushing that hard, but this series is different, closer racing fast action and fragile car dont make a great mix...so i wonder if we could find a damage setting that would give us more chances to cross the line so we can enjoy the mod better???

was fast and qualed 5th. Went to shift into second gear and Tim brake checked me so i went into the grass with the left rear tire, that spun the tires and shot me straight into traffic. I am taking a break, be back as soon as s13 or later, idk.
