CART: Cleveland

1st race in these cars. Was alot of fun.

Struggled early, nerves i think. Got down to business and turned some good laps. Had a great battle with Mike S. at the end.

Hope to do more.

Took the pole by quite a lick. Started at the front and gapped Eduardo. Took first of three stops and came out in 3rd. Passed Eduardo and Jeff as they stopped.

Second stint is where my problems started, backmarkers were attrocious at times. Twice I was nearly clean taken out and more times than I care to count I was raced by a lapped car. I pushed like crazy... doing 15-20 qualifying laps trying to buy myself more time. I had a decent gap before the 2nd stint. I didn't after.

By the time I came out after my 3rd stop I had lost my hard earned lead and Eduardo was 10 seconds down the road with 10 to go. Naturally I started pushing hard to get back to Eduardo... Unfortunately I hit an immovable bollard that I had never hit or even come close to before.

Cue 110 second stop to replace the front Left. Race Effectively over.

Eventually my luck will come together and I'll slam a victory out of the park.

Well My race turned out excellent. 3rd place!
I made acouple passes early in the race and was soon upto 8th after starting 11th. then as attrition happened I gained quite a few spots as people crashed and went off.
I opted for 3 stops on softs.
Cardoso I beleive he was 2 stopping and was about 12 seconds ahead with a dozen to go when he must of crashed I took 3rd and took it easy the last 10 laps to preserve the podium as I had a 35 second gap back to 4th.

I ran consistant and made no mistakes that I can think of and never spun @ T1 which was killing me in practice.

Yikes, two solid weeks and many hours of practice on this track goes right up in smoke on my 3rd lap, T9 bit me twice. First was a sudden loss of traction in T9 and ate the wall, went in for repairs, then T9 once again kicks my right front wheel off the ground and lost control, this time taking my Right Front wheel off as I clobbered the wall.

There goes my points standings lead, at least I got to enjoy the #1 spot for two weeks there.

Qualy , about where I expected to slot in, no real complaints.

Race, I knew I didn't have the speed for Jon, but I did know I needed a good result as my last race didn't end favorably. There is not much to report except that all the tires remained glued to the road and I finished the race with all bits attached.

From my perspective the racing was clean, the slower cars allowed allowed great passing opportunities, THX guys.

I feel bad for Jon, he had the speed to clean house but the racing gods got the best of him today, I know he will put a licking on this field shortly.

Mr. Banic, from DL the sim just the day before you did a great job, and thank you for your help with qualifying.

I shouldn't have to repeat myself, but I will, there is no chat in-game period, I don't care if its to pit, chat is not allowed period.

Also, there is a no ESC rule for qualifying, failure to race by the rules will place you on the doo doo list, failure to follow the Administrators instruction will place you on super duper probation.

Know the rules, race by them.

My apologies for not withdrawing from this event, I had every intention of making it. Unfortunately my return trip from the Sprint Cup race in Loudon put me home later than I figured, and missed getting in this event by three minutes.

Congratulations to Eduardo, Jeff, and David, for their podium finishes. It looks like the exciting finish was between Matt in 5th and Kevin for 6th with .3sec. That’s pretty close.

My car was a complete load of crap..

The back end just stepped out no matter what I did, and it just wasnt taking the bumps no matter what I did.... And I adjusted everything.... Surprised I lasted as long as I did but in the end the back end stepped out and I clipped my rear wheel on the exit wall on the 2nd from last bend and that was it....

I really dont get it, I take the Tasman car out because I dqed myself earlyer in the day during practice, and I am lapping 59's after my 8th lap.... About 3 seconds faster than my Team Green car.... It handles the bumps better and acatually feels safe going in a straight line, and I noticed it seemed to understeer more than the team green but in a controlled way, which seemed really nice with these long wide bumpy bends.

well that was exciting!! I decided to go with a 2 stop and hopefully no big cockups and I should have a respectable result. I had a moment when Anthony spun exiting turn 1 early on that I had nowhere to go and just clipped my wing on his car while trying to stop. Had some understeer the rest of the race from that.

I ended up driving my ass off to stay ahead of Kevin after he made his 3rd pit stop. He came out ahead of me but I managed to slide by while his tyres came up to temp. My tyres had about 15 more laps on them by that point and the next 10 or so weren't easy at all. I know he had a good look on the last lap but opted to back off and keep it clean. big thanks for the fun run guys. looking forward to Portland now

Best result for the qual so far. I had a 57.4 in me but it wouldn't have change anything...I was very happy with it.

I kept my position on the start, but made a little mistake on the second lap that cost me 4th place. Then, I ran the next 18 laps on 5th, preserving the tires. Unfortunately, on the last lap of my first stint, I spun on T3 after putting all 4 wheels on the black patch, which took me very slowly to the wall. But it was enough to loose my rear wing and cause a flat tire. I crawled back to the pit for a 65 seconds repair, which took me 2 laps down...

After that, it was a matter of keeping concentrated and hope for the guys in front to fall out...

It's though on the moral because I could have made the podium today, but at least, I can see a progression on my driving. So in the end, I'm quite happy with the result.
