Intro to V8 Supercars (Euro)

Marked Course
The "marked course" or "racing surface" is defined by the asphalt or concrete between the two painted lines. Anything outside those lines is considered off-course (this includes curbing). You are allowed to drive no more then two wheels off-course at any time.

Off-course Excursions
The competitor is required to follow the marked course during the competition and shall not gain an advantage by an off-course excursion.

Oh jeeze! what a race! Not fast at all, but good pit strategy put me in the top 6, until i decided to make a number of mistakes. oh well. on to laguna seca and the F3's! gotta test or that scott michaels kid is gonna whoop up on me. ;)

Pole, fastest lap and the win. What more can you ask for?!? And to think, a few hours ago I unregistered from the race because I didnt think I would be competitive!
Anyway, I knew Nuno was quick. He said in pre-race that he was doing 2:03s, and that was about all I could do, so I knew it would be close.
Dont know what happened to him in qually, but his poor position was of a break for me to get a 15 second gap on him by half way, once he had worked his way through. From then on I just tried regulating the gap. I knew I was quicker on fresh tyres, so I pushed hard after the last stop and set a few 2:02s to bring the gap back to a comfortable margin, and cruised home :)

Well had a pretty average qualifying lap as i didn't pick my time to get on track right.

Ended up just inside the top 10 for the start. Had a good start and it was prtty busy into turn 1, but everyone was clean but aggressive.

I think it was about turn 6 i touched Nick J and turned him around (really sorry mate) and tryed to move over to let everyone thru while waiting for Nick to recover. Then proceeded to have some great racing to get back through the pack (mostly with Nick :) ).

It was a pleasure to race with everyone there, the racing was fast and clean, thank you all.

After all that ended up finishing 6th. Would have liked a top 5 but i made too many mistakes.

to many mistakes and traffic didn't help in qualy but i knew i had a good pace for race, so didn't worried to much about my 3rd place

i was changing my brake balance when the light go green LOL
lost 4 positions there, so when finally reached 2nd it was to late to catch Scott

that will teach me hehe

So, the mistake with change of tyres cost to me of an awful second stint of race and chance to be overcome for a victory! :( Grats again Scott !!! Well done!

A pretty disappointing race for me. I was running OK and having a good battle with Martin until I decided to spin at the chicane. I am not sure why his car was handling so badly just before the first pitstop. Then I wasted 20 seconds at the pitstop because I didn't know that the fuel goes in at the same time as the tyres. Copping a drive through at the next pitstop due to speeding didn't help either.

I was doing a few 2:05s trying to catch Nick Philips at the end but then another spin at the chicane put an end to my chances. Hopefully next time I won't drop so many places in the race!

Nice clean race (well from my perspective it was).

Enjoyed the race but just don't seem to be able to get really hooked up with these cars in rFactor where I can with F3's and other mods.

Anyhoo a top half finish would have been nice, but a stop and go for speeding into pit line scuppered that, had a few battles early on but spent most of second half of race clock watching.

Thought Lokman was gonna get me, but he did what I normally do when chasing and nearly there, and span, so was safe for the rest of the race.

Would play around with my wheel settings but don't want to knacker it up - DFP thoughts anyone? Or shall I just accept I can't get on with this particular mod?

Great race everyone! Qualified midpack and still saw plenty of close tight racing ... What a pleasure it was!

Went through Lap 1 Turn 1 plenty much same way I launched and got to racin'. Picked up a few early spots from the offs of others, and settled in as the second car of a pack running about 9th-13th. Problem was, the car ahead was getting sloppy enough to hold up my lap times but not sloppy enough to lose the line and the position.

I opted for an early pit. Get one out of the way and get out of traffic. Sure enough, when everyone had cycled through their first pitstops I was clear of the crowd. After the second pitstops cycled I was running eighth and managed a lovely pass for one more place.

Always had someone to chase, always had someone chasing me ... Very good run guys.
