Qualifying:
Got 3rd in qulifying with a messy lap, even ran wide at the last corner. Sub 2:11 wasn't far at all, just could not piece it all together, no wonder as my preparation consisted of 15 laps today before the race.

Race:
One word describes my race, crap. Got taken out in T3, dropped all the way back to P17. Like that wasn't enough I got hit 6 or 7 more times during the race, 2 or 3 times by the same guy that punted me in T3. Nice!

My first race and what a difference from Renault Meganes, I did not get touched by anyone the whole race! Thank you :)

Although given previous comment perhaps I was fortunate.

Really enjoyed racing Klaus Mayer, who coped admirably with my cutting them up T14 and outbreaking myself at T1. I will try to leave more room in future.

Was my first ever race with this mod, so i opted for a stable Volvo. Got a nice lap in qualy, but there was nothing i could do off the line to stay up front, so i dropped to 4th after the first couple of corners. My apologies to Enis Dauti, it was me who punted you out in T3, a noob mistake really, as i missed the braking point because of my view being blocked by other cars, nothing i could do to stop in time after that :( As for "hitting you 2 or 3 times more", i don't know what are you talking about. We probably touched slightly with our sides couple of times, but don't blame it on me, you was squeezing past me, not vise versa. Anyway, after drive through, i dropped to 13th. Had some fun racing from there, but lost time struggling to overtake couple of slower cars. Later in the race moved up to 7th, but had to pit for fuel with 1 lap to go :( and dropped to 8th because of that. Anyway, 8th is good. Volvo appeared to be off the pace a bit, compared to some other cars, i was definitely lacking top speed on the straights, other than that, drives well.

Well, I had a poor start and dropped a few places, and then got involved in a bit of trouble in turn 2.

Throughout the race I was punted various times, and then me, Alexey and George pitted because our tyres were fucked. Myself and George came out at similar points and from there we endured a battle that lasted the rest of the race. I nudged him a few time due to lack of grip in the braking zones, but nothing major. He took 11th after a freeze I had on the last corner. Thanks George!

I got disconnected about halfway through the race, when I had settled into 14th place and just wondering what would happen to the tyres on my car and those in front of me. I was doing consistent 2:14s but no idea how I was going on tyres.

I made a dumb mistake on cold tyres and ran wide on lap 2, which dropped me back 6 places and pretty much ended any chances there. I tried to battle my way back through, actually had decent dices with Marcel Grevelt. [Snip removed by TM - Please review our conduct rules]

I tried out the GTO after I got disconnected and found that a much easier car to drive. The Mustang seems to understeer a lot but under brakes it's very loose on the rear. Do other people find that to be the case too?

Well done to the podium, it's quite an effort to get through 50 minutes in these things!

Someone needs to clarify the re-joining track rule. I am sick of getting a drive through of Tim for it. I have and currently hold a pro race driving licence and have never come across such well lets not go that far.

The rule as it stands makes me think that if you go off track you cannot re-enter until the whole field has passed you. I span on the last bend was facing the barrier. Two options I reverse onto the track (not a good idead) or spin it round and carry on which I did. As I spin it I check the last corner and I am clear, As I am getting going again I hear George and the next guys engine so I pull to the left lane and they fly past no problem so i get a drive through even when I waited for a gap. That just annoys me so I leave. I just want someone to clarify what to do as this happens alot and it seems that whatever you do (and I mean safely) you will get a drive through.

0.5 - Re-joining the racing surface

Re-joining the track after an off-track excursion
No driver may rejoin the track until all traffic has passed and your car is facing the exact racing direction.

Any instances of a driver using the racing surface as a place to make a U-turn (180 degree turn) or an unsafe re-entry to the racing surface will result in an automatic disqualification.

What's stupid, is that even after you've let all the field past and its totally clear, you get a DQ if theres no room to spin it round other than on the track surface, its common sense that sometimes you need the track to spin the car round on, its done by racers all the time.

I was after Pole in qualy as I knew I had a chance. I was pretty much half a second up going into the final turn, but unfortunatly a Mustang ahead lost it on the brakes and they came to a halt on the apex. Tried to go on the inside but I just clipped them, so sorry for that. That put me in 4th. Went for another hotlap but the tyres were done halfway round the lap.

Got a decent start but lost out to the Volvo Alexey. Later in the lap though he had a run in with Enis which got him a drive through.

Tj and Pablo were 5 or so seconds up the road but I didn't push to catch up as I wanted to save my tyres for the last 10 mins or so, plus I was fairly confident that TJ would have to stop in his Volvo. Funnily enough while I thought I was coasting round looking after the tyres I was doing the fastest laps I've ever done, so it just goes to show that keeping it all smooth and tidy really does work.

TJ did indeed stop which gifted me 2nd, but Pablo was around 13 seconds ahead so my only hope was that he'd run out of rubber. Didn't happen though but I'm more than happy with 2nd place :).

Great care is taken not to penalize someone for a U-turn on track when they have no other option (such as a street course).

The issue is Dave, while you may possess the pro license and education, the majority of us do not. If you are allowed to make U-turns, then what are the others going to start doing? I promise you will change your tune when someone else attempts that same maneuver in front of you and wipes you off the track.

The rule does not allow for the driver to make the decision if it is safe to make a U-turn across the track or not. The decision is already made for you so it is NEVER an option. A 4-point turn is required in small increments if needed, but never a U-turn. It has to be enforced consistently and without exception no matter your real world experience level.

Keep in mind, it is normally a automatic DQ and you were not DQ'd
