Intro to S4 GT3-Cup

Qualifying was tough because a certain driver that keeps getting in the way race after race got in the way again. Then had a fast lap going at the end of the session and got distracted and spun.

Start sucked, got passed by a couple car cuz the car in front of me was slow off the line. Had tough racing throughout the race. Felt like I had a lot less grip in my tires than in practice. The racing was intense!

Wow, great race but a little disappointing. I thought I could be competitive, but made two mistakes on the frist few laps :(

The rest of the race was trying to play catch up but I never did.

Apologies to the person I turned in on on the first lap...I saw the other two come through but didn't see you until it was too late. At least I didn't bump you off.

This a perfect example of why I would love to see that start time for this series moved later by just 30 minutes.

Joined the room with just 6 minutes left in qual, got in a safe lap to get in a time (12th) I think. Then got on a hot lap and at the sector 2 line someone left the track and came back on, I did not back off as they came all the way across the track into me. Not sure how far down I was on that lap but still disappointing when people totally disregard the rules about rejoining.

Got a great start and jumped to the inside line but saw someone else doing the same so not wanting to be the guy to casue the big one, I took it cautious into 1-2 and was up to 7th already. Lap 2 following Dean I got a run on him and made the pass for 6th and someone went off giving me 5th. Another lap and 2-3-4 had a hangup in the hairpin and I was gifted 3rd. Spent the next 10 laps chasing down Tolga for 2nd gaining little bits on him. When I closed to within .6 it was difficult to make any gains. Finally I saw he was struggling and I got lucky as we came on traffic in the final corner, either Tolga had to lift or he slipped, I don't know, but I got a great run and went down the inside and made the pass. Tolga tried to make gains on me but just like when I was behind him he found it too difficult. I am happy with 2nd and look forward to running this series, hopefully when the admin finishes their decisions it is a day and time I can run it.

Grats to CJ on the win, I never saw ya the entire race.

Good race. Although not much happened. hehe. Basicaly just held my place from start to finish. Except for near the end, when David came up behind me and kindly flashed his lights. I kindly let him go...and that was that.

At least I wasn't bothered by any stupid technical glitches that have been plaguing me for a while. Fingers crossed.

Qualifying was good and clean for me and got 2nd position Claus was too fast in qualy and in race too.

I had trouble changing gears in start and lost some places with the start, then got 3rd place with David's mistake, and so sorry for touching u Darin, i shouldn't have come so close to u.I got 2nd place by that pass. But i had no chance against Claus he was so fast. By this time i was seeing Kent is coming closer every lap lol. And while we are lapping backmarkers he passed me. Then we changed roles, i was chasing now and it lasted till the end of race. But i couldnt find any chance to pass Kent and placed 3rd. It was a good race for me at all.

So sorry again Darin, wont happen again.

I qualified nicely, but made too many stupid errors during the race. I had 3 offs that happened because I broke loose a little, mostly recovered, and then pushed the throttle too hard before the recovery was complete. Didn't impact anyone else, though, so that's good.

I took a couple taps, but nothing significant. Overall a fun, well battled race. I'll be more careful recovering in the future.

I viewed the first portion of the race and I only saw one "marginal" use of a dive-bomb, and none were used on Randy.

Everyone needs to understand this; A late-braking attempt is NOT a dive-bomb. It is a widely practiced passing maneuver that is acceptable in all forms of motor-sports. If you see that the driver behind you has offset himself to your left or right before the braking zone, don't turn in on him and you and he wont hit you. It's that simple.

A dive-bomb would be when someone is braking so late that they no longer have control of the car and end up pushing through you and off the normal racing line. I didn't see any of this.

In any situation, passing is dangerous. We all need to do what we can to minimize that risk. Sometimes we bump a little, sometimes we bump big. It's all part of racing.

Got a poor start since I couldn't see the green light from so far back in the field. Lost a few positions going down to turn one. Made up a few spots during the first few laps due to other people going off track, but gave them back when I went off myself.

Got lapped by some of you faster guys and tried to be courteous to let you through. However, someone felt it necessary to punt me into the grass without even giving me a chance to let them by. :( Guess I need to get faster so I don't become roadkill for some aggressive drivers.
