Indianapolis GT

Once again I had a lot of fun and once again I came in second to Conor! I qualified third, in front of Conor, and then on the second lap I totally missed my braking point for turn one. For some reason I struggled with that all race, its just really hard to see and really easy to mess up b/c you have to brake like two clicks before the *first* marker which comes up really fast at 170mph! Lots of close racing for 1,2,3 the first 15 laps, which I got a really good view from a couple seconds back. Then, 1,2,3 started slowing things down, with some help from a back marker, which allowed me to catch up. I eventually made it all the way to the lead, but that only lasted a lap when I sort of let the inevitable happen when Conor passed me. Then the next lap I looped it coming out of the second hairpin, then a few laps later I got sweat in my eyes so third place managed to come side by side with me into turn one when I braked really cautiously/early. Unfortunately, not really my fault, but not really his either b/c he was confused in what I was doing, we traded a little paint sending him spinning :(. Sorry about that. After that it was just bring it home for my second second in my second race :)

I didn't qualy. Jumped on board with Conor to see if I could learn something. Didn't help, Conor couldn't get a clear track to get a decent qualy.

I started the race at the rear. Gained a few spots thru the first few turns. Someone lost control and slid into me. By law that was a punt because I hit them with my front end so I did a drive thru. Last place again. Started moving up in the field because of other's mistakes, plus my car was good enough that I was making some gains on my own. Was starting to think this might turn out okay. Somehow I got past my team mate Rob, not sure how that happened. A couple laps later, coming out of the last turn to the front stretch, got the right front on the apron and got the car lose. The pit entrance wall juts out there and I saw it coming at me and over corrected. Went to the outside wall and destroyed the suspension. I knew Rob was back there and was trying to hold it against the wall hoping he could see what was happening. Glad you missed me Rob! Brought it down to the inside cause I knew Conor was coming next.

I killed my stang. Services will be held tomorrow if anyone wishes to attend.

I need new tire supplier for my team... :D

Had a lot of fun with Bryce... PLenty of good clean & hard battles, most of them very fun... 2 S/G's and I lost 8 places... But, had fun...

Agreed OG. I feel very stupid for this. I was fast in practice but chose to lower the wing from 9 to 15. That was bad. Then I chose to increase camber because of my added wing. I also forgot to add the brake bias buttons to my wheel. Once my car became undriveable i pitted and lost a few spots. I need to get back in gear.

Crazy race. It had everything in it. Great racing, strange accidents, and equipment trouble on my end.

After a terrible qual session where I couldn't find clean track, I placed 4th on the grid. Lap 1, turn 1, was pretty clean as far as I could tell, but us front four soon went to battling hard the next dozen or so laps. The racing was very close and none of us really had an advantage over the other. Eventually, Graf and Perez began fighting too hard for the lead and let me close up and prepare for overtaking. I got by Perez going into T1 on the inside after he let Graf by on the front straight. A few laps later, got around Graf in the same corner, but on the outside while he spun on entry. He knocked me off track, but it was no issue. Matthew took advantage and grabbed the lead while I was still in the grass. I soon was able to get by him the next lap and tried my best to pull away after that.

The rest of the race was uneventful until 5 min left where I had a brake spike going into T1 while approaching Rod Viper. I looped it going into the turn and luckily, he was watching his mirrors so we didn't collide. Had brake trouble the last few laps but I made it to the victory without wrecking.

Thanks for the great racing John, Eugenio, and Matthew in the first part of the race. That was very entertaining :)

Nice racing indeed..while it lasted.

My game was jerking badly, had sttuters at the worst possible places, T1, T6, T7, hoped it would clear after a few laps but it didn't. So I was battling Conor, John and the game itself.

John must have been having his share of problems too, as I could see his brake lights coming on at the most unexpected places, so I guess we all strugled somewhat through the race.

Congratulations to Conor, Matthew and John for a well deserved podium, only thing I regret is that the fight could have lasted for the whole race but it did not.

Off race for me. I was able to drive without crashing, but I was interminably sloooowwww! I've been having some issues trying to get my wheel to work correctly in rFactor on my new computer... it seems like I have a huge deadspot in the middle, and I can't seem to adjust my controller settings to get rid of it (DFGT on Vista 64-bit w/ current Logi driver BTW).

Jeff, you were able to pass me because you were faster than me! LOL! That's how that happens teemie! Seriously, I saw you coming on my HUD display and I wasn't going to hold you up too much considering your better pace.

So, I manage to not hit many things and bring the car home for a midpack finish. Took a bit of a hit on the season points standings, but I guess that's what you get when you switch rigs mid-season.

Had a great race going till my lf tire blew. Was in 5th with 2 min to go to boot. Oh well. Top four where 1-2 seconds a lap faster. Nice laps with Omar for half the race. Congrats to the podium. Well Done
