Silverstone GT

Exciting race with Paul towards the end. Really, it was a nice close race overall. Battling with Perez and Graf at the beginning kept it fun, but trying to chase down a quick Paul in the closing parts of the race was the best part of my race. I had nothing for him on the 2nd to last lap when my tires were just used up. I backed off on the final lap and looked to secure another Formula 05 1-2 finish, but unfortunately Paul double down shifted in the esses and spun out, giving up the lead and eventually 2nd. Very sorry to see that, Paul, you had that win earned and ready to enjoy. It's always a bitch to have something that trivial ruin a victory :(

Congratulations Conor and 05 Motorsport!!

I started dead last. Didn't qualy cause I can't seem to make a qualy setup that works for this car and you guys had some crazy fast lap times so I figured it would be best for everyone if I started in the back. I got a little cocky on lap 2 and my tires weren't ready for it yet. Drove into a corner too fast and thought I was fixing to take out my teammate. Missed him though...Rob sorry if my poor braking caught you off guard and caused you to spin. I drove around a long time by myself but could tell I was slowly gaining on Nabil. I was actually starting to feel lonely and when I caught sight of Nabil I was thinking "Finally, I might get to race with somebody!". It took long enough to get to him that I figured we were pretty closely matched and maybe we'd have a fun battle. Then he lost it on a downshift it looked like...I was all alone again. Sorry to see that happen Nabil. So I drove around all by myself. I figure by the year 2055 I'll have this Mustang figured out...NOT!

Great season guys! I enjoyed it very much!

Had a blast keeping Mark Carty behind me and then chasing him when he got by. With about 10 laps to go I had 1 solid red line of lf tire. Knew I was in trouble. I was trying to be smooth as possible. With 2 corners left in race, Omar and Rick got me, popped lf....2 races 2 popped LF tires with very little time left on the clock. It will get better for me sometime...
Great job guys, wish I could of made more races!!!!! Next season should be great

Fun race and a great learning expereince in the races I participated in. I went from making 5 or 6 serious mistakes per race to 1 or 2. I was trying to keep my gap to Jeff even but he was steadily closing in. I lost the car under braking on a d/s and he drove by and away as I tried to keep my tires under me to the end. I think I try to hard to manage my tires and just drive 1 second or so under what I could do.

Great race. I was surprised with the pace on the opening laps high 55's/low 56's. I saw Conor get passed on L1 which put him in 4th and Eugenio and John on my heels. I had a gap of 1-2 secs but that did come down a little until Euginio had his Drive Thru which put him back to 4th. John and Conor were still close behind and pushing, but I was trying to conserve the tires a little which paid off at the end. Conor got to 2nd with about a 3 sec gap and he eventually got to under 1 sec. I was not too concerned since I was still lapping quickly and had tires left for the final laps. A simple double downshift was the problem and I spun on the last lap. I had definately earned the win, and it is not too often that you get to beat Conor at him own game, but 48 mins out of 50 isn't enough.

Race began well, grid spacing here allows for quick starts and I knew I could get by John and Conor as green lights went on. Up to second going thru T1 and thought I was pretty well placed for an exciting race.

First six laps were quite fast paced, I could reduce the gap to Paul a tiny bit, and so did Conor. John chasing very close too.

As it turned out, I was riding the kerbs a little too much in some places and steward assigned me with a drive thru penalty which I served dropping to fourth place. It did not look like that from cockpit but I agree it looked not that good from an external view, but hey we all were off the track at some point or the other.

Dropped to 4th. place after the drive thru, and the guys ahead were just unreachable so I just took it easy until end of race, saving a not so bad fourth.

Congrat to Conor & John, and really feel sorry for Paul, extremely bad luck. You should have waited for me too though. :-)
