Intro to S4 GT-Open (G2/G3)

Was running a great 2nd when i got disconn :(:(:(

What a shame, was really enjoying that race!!

Great battle with Henderson (i think it was) close throughout the entire race. Grats man!!

..and CLAUS!!! OMG!!! I race him regulary at Simracing.org but what a bril drive...wd man!!!

Got a 10th position due to just waiting things out and gaining spots when folks crashed/disco'd/whatever. Wasn't competitive race-wise.

Never will I race the little Elise again. :)

wow, my butt hurts, i finished last 4 laps down, but i finished. thats my first long run in gtr2 ever. sorry to any i may have held up, i yielded when i could. i just need to step it up a bit with the driving, i am being too gentle with the car. see you guys next time. Keeping the Slow "slow moving objects"

I had to start dead last, computer froze on a 1:28.xx right at pit entry. I slowly tried to work my way through the G3 folks, some not too friendly about me passing. Made it into 11th or 12th in a group of 3 (BMW, Elise and me (Biturbo)) when the leaders starting coming through. I let 2nd throuh and we all went into the hairpin after the 3 apex turn. The BMW had braked awfully early and accordianed us. I bumped 2nd of the track (sorry).
The rest of the race I ran alone in 10th and pick up a bunch of places on others pit stops. It looked like Jerry C was running out of fuel near the end as he waived me by. That put me on the same lap as he. I didn't have enough time to catch him though and Claus lapped me on his last lap (again).
Great race. Never been to this track before and have never driven the Biturbo.

Very strange. I'll concur with Shane; he finished somewhere ahead of me in a GT3 Cup.

hard work in q ,had the speed but no room to use it,race not much better,got away well and was comfotable with early pace,but just couldnt get a break in traffic,caught a hole and nearly lost it going into turn 8 and got tyre warning,but after change it was handling no better,and was barely clinging on to position,got a double downshift and that blew engine,fun while it lasted.

Well that Elise was a blast!! It's never going to be competitive with the Vert, but I don't care. I think I've picked my car for the S4 GT-Open.

I had some good racing with one of the BMWs for 9th close to the end, but the Elise just doesn't have the HP to keep up on the straights.

Working on those results Steve, for some reason it left you out. It is in the process of being fixed though :)

Hehe, well, then I should thank CJ for lapping you on that last lap Garret, cause it took me 2 mins to get around the last lap, barely crawling in 2nd gear to keep fuel from pouring into the engine. hehe

Was a bit worried at that flooded track in prequal practice. Setup aside, my game was a slide show at nothing higher than 20-30 fps. Yikes.

I underestimated the thirstiness of the Bimmer, had to pit early, by about 15 mins than half way. Didn't help the front left was at 33% wear. Took on 84 litres, and changed all 4 tyres, did some quick math while in the pit lane and figured it would be enough. GTRPD said I was around 1.8litres a lap.

After a few laps, every cycled through pit stops, and closed right back up on Dean as he did his pit stop. Had it down to 2 secs, but couple lap cars opened up the gap a bit, no one's fault, I was just being real careful and patient. THe Viper/Vette race left me with a not so nice taste about lap cars, so decided to just let the pass come to me.

Dean slowly pulled away, to about like 5 or 6 sec gap. With 30 minutes left, I looked over, noticed I was running at 1.98 litres a lap. DOH! Jerry's been shifting too hard. lol. Started short shifting ... a lot! Figured out Garret was a lap down from me, so went into fuel conserve mode. Even lifted and waved him by on the front straight with about 15 mins left. He looked surprised, as he didn't unlap himself right away. ;)

Last lap, Garret had closed it down to 30sec, and I knew I had nothing left, had to crawl around the track, but fortune smiled on me, as CJ took care of that. ;)

Fun stuff, all the G3s were great. No troubles in traffic at all.
