There is not much to say, qualifying went ok and the race I could lead from lap 1 until the end. Next time things will be harder again because then Arthur and Stuart will be back but the next two tracks I like very much and I have there the track record. Cya all in Silverstone.

There is not much to say here either. I was just cruising (trying to keep car on track) with fps from 4 to 10 (ex. start/lap1). It is weird that 2,8Ghz, 2G 800Mhz, 512mb grapich gard with minimum grapich details isn't enough for nkPro..

Tried to make a setup yesterday, but failed miserably (like I expected) :ranting2:. So it settled for the good old ‘jaap_base’ setup and managed to put in a 56.X qualification lap :lmfao: Which gave me P3 on the starting grid :yahoo:

I took it real easy with at the start not trying to be ‘the guy’ that screws up :). The first couple of laps I was right behind E.Dauti, took it easy following him and try to force him into a mistake, unfortunately I made a couple of small error's myself so he could pull away to about 4 seconds.

In the last part of the race I lapped some people so did E.Dauti who's was just in front of me. After overtaking a back marker he made a mistake of hitting the curbs before the main straight and almost spun off. He lost a couple of seconds to that I could just catch him. I was now in P2 with E.Dauti under a second behind me.

The following corner I came up to Ron and tried to pass him on the inside, It was really close but I thought it was a clean pass... until I heard Ron :taz::ranting2: on Ventrillo telling me he was hit :sideways:. I didn't notice or heard anything, I checked the replay and it really was a big bang (from Ron's car) :sad: Again sorry Ron.

I continued my was until the end of the race with E.Dauti still on my tail and managed to keep P2, So it was quite a good race except for propelling Ron of the track :sideways:

But Mark Turnbull, what the f.. are you doing. IMHO you should get a penalty for driving me of like that. I don't know what came over you but you can't drive people off like that. Last race you talked about the spirit in R2P. Is this youre view of the spirit in R2P. You should give an example when you want others to behave.

After that I new I wouldn't finish so I pressed esc. and klick "go to box", to my surprise I could fix my car and go on. Thats why I was confused, didn't know if it was allowed or not.

EDIT: Patricks post above just beat me to it.

Firstly I have to apologise profusely to Patrick for a poor piece of driving by me which punted him off at T1, I'm very sorry Patrick for ruining your race.

I started 4th and kept up with the pack for 2 laps then spun on lap 3 letting Giancarlo and Patrick pass. After a few laps I caught and passed Giancarlo and got behind Patrick at the start of the straight. I drafted him down the straight and went to outbrake him at T1 so I pulled out from behind him but did not pull over far enough and I made contact under braking sending Patrick and me spinning off. A really poor bit of driving on my part. I span back onto the track with no damage but I think Patrick was damaged?

The spin let Giancarlo and Zoltan through this time and I set off after them and amazingly two turns later at T4 I caught them and as they split left and right for the turn I managed to dive between them, and make the apex, passing them both with a much better piece of driving! See photo.

The rest of the race was spent battling with Giancarlo and Zoltan who got passed again when I span out on my own. A good race apart from hitting Patrick.

I'm so sorry I missed the race! Unfortunately yesterday I had a problem few minutes before the race and I couldn't join you guys.

Wasn't satisfied with neither qualifying nor race yesterday.

Qualifying:
Should have done low 56, as my best qualifying lap was no where near the limit. But being that I hadn't practiced much extracting the maximum wasn't easy.

Race:
Started of nicely, controlled the pace and got opened some gap to Katsushika. As I knew Tjeerd would be too fast even if I went 10/10ths, I decided to do the smart thing and drove 8-9/10ths.

Around lap 17 I got tangled up in traffic which resulted in loosing 2nd place. Coming into last turn we were side by side, he was on the inside, not knowing whether he'll let me through I had to slow down too much, in the end he did let me trough but I lost already too much of the momentum and Katsushika gained opportunity to attack.

Later I tried to pressure him but sraped the wall with rear left. Nevertheless I still tried, and was close, although with damaged car overtaking would probably be impossible.

Wow, after a while I didnt drive this car, the 5th place was very good for me as well in qualy! The race start was fine, but after T1 I hang on this green part of track and it moves me out on T2, so I lost couple of places. Nice fight with Ron after that, sorry that he lost it and go out in corner!
Nice overtake from Mark! I was just overtakes Giancarlo and hade a bad line from inner so I lost some speed, woow good action!
But than I push and make pressure to him from lap 6-13 after T1 Mark turn his self! Bad luck!
After that I had a easy and quiet race and have all the time seen that I am 3th! It was a sim error? Ok 4th is fine too!
I had funn enyway in this first race on R2P!

After this race I did say I'd had it with nKP and it's crappy collision detection. But my ruffled feathers have been smoothed so I'll be back. In retrospect a good race. Well done Finnglish!
