Twice in a row I'm unable to start properly in nKP races. Pure stupidity.

Great to see a good turnout for this one :)

Perfect start to the F3 season.

Grabbed pole with a new PB, got into T1 in first and was able to really put the hammer down for a few laps to build up a decent lead.
Once I had what I thought was a comfortable advantage I was able to ease off a little and just get into a groove. It was pretty uneventful until I came up on the backmarkers, who kept me focussed.
Tires really started to go off with about 5 to go which made things interesting.
I kept my concentration and brought it home with a near 30 second lead over second place.

Delighted to score my first nKPro points for my new team.

You were worth the money Stuart. Keep it up. :-)
Me? I'm there to make up the numbers. I haven't watched the replay yet but someone stalled on the grid which caused the guy in front of me to hit him, which cause me to hit HIM! LOL, I've just noticed the picture. That'll be us in the background. :-)
A quick repair (thank God it's not full mode!) and we were away. A good race, was looking forward to giving the other old fart a run for his money, but next time mate, next time :-)

This time, when Mark Turnbull passed me AND CARS WERE ATLEAST 10m APART, I got hit from back, but no damages, luckyly.
The rest of the race was clean, with some warping cars, I hope the next patch will arrive soon!

Man, my luck just keeps going from bad to worse!

I got a decent start next to Stuart, and going into the T1 chicane complex, I tried to enter next to him, planning to slot in behind as we bounced over the curbs. Unfortunately I had to have been too close for the collision detection system, as I got a tire to the sidepod and was sent off. Certainly not Stuart's fault, only myself. He had the corner.

So, I put putted around to the pits, repair the car and set out again. I put down some good times and noticed I wasn't losin ground to the leaders. After picking off a few guys, I came up behind Barrett as we crested the hill into the downhill turn 4. I poked inside as Barrett drifted out, then watch my mirrors in shock to see him shooting off the track. "Did we hit?" I hadn't felt a thing.

The next car I came upon was warping badly... at least from my perspective. At one time 50m ahead, the next moment we are in the same car!! After my car made a warp-punt, I decided to park it. I am hoping my connection was not the sole cause to these incidents I had during the race.

Sincere apologies to Barrett if we did touch... There was a carwidth of space when I made the pass, but my latency could have been terrible. It was very difficult for me to tell. Usually all the cars are latent or none of them, when it is my end with the internet issues. (Each car was driving differently!)

But, this game delivers a very realistic feel to the cars, and I enjoy the realistic parameters necessary to race... the helmet fogging up, the tires collecting dirt and flatspots... very cool.

So much for a pickup race eh? (I slept thru FSR's qualifying. Blonde moment if you ask me!)

Another good race all round I think, though not without incident.

I got from P4 to P2 after the first chicane as Enis stalled on the grid and Tristan went wide on T1. Followed Stuart for a couple of laps then spun myself on lap 3 after riding the kerb. That let Roberto and Roger past so I had some catching up to do. As Roberto says I think there was some more poor collision detection, we were definitely closer than 10M as the picture shows :) Although I braked a lot earlier for the corner Roberto appeared to slow up a lot more than me, we were very close but there was no noise or damage and yet Robertos car appeared to be shunted off to the left(?) which let me through. I managed to catch and pass Roger and then concentrated on keeping it on the road for P2, as I knew I couldn't catch Stuart.

I was meaning that even from circa 10m your car unsettled mine with detected collision, in the moment you take this pic I was already feeling "pushed" from back, and clearly there was no collision. That feeling (loss of FFB and control) was through all T1 enter.
Oh well let's hope in future patch because there were some warping cars too, from 50-70m ahead which suddently come right in front of your wing!

This week I'm not with my own computer. So before the race, I knew I can't race properly. I had fps and warping/missing cars problem. So, I tried qual to last postion and race, well drive alone as much as posible. I was aiming get result from this first race, without causing incidents to others.

Last nights race went not according to plan :sideways: Maybe my massive hangover had some part in that I don't know :rolleyes:

In qualification I claimed P5. I was quite pleased with that, only did a few practice laps about 30mins before the R2P event. In practice/quali I was hitting the 1.25's without a problem.

At the race start I crashed into Dauti who stalled his car. I tried to evade him but my reaction was just to late :sad: I think Ron bumped into me after that which wasn't a real surprise because Dauti and I where standing still at the starting grid... :blink:

I drove my car with broken front and rear suspension all the way to the pits, i wasn't aware that it was aloud to use the towing function :blink: lost a lot of time trying to keep the car on the road that lap, But to be honest i did accidentally speeded in the pits when i drove out by a couple of km :doh:

After that I had a real hard time concentrating, my lap times where really bad, they didn't even come close to what I was doing in practice. Off course i did spun off a couple of times and in the end I was surprised that I took 6th place.

Ow and we really need blue flags I had two people that let me pass without a fight because they probably thought I was lapping them :blink:

I'm sorry you two were cought out by my inability to get off the line propely.
