Westhill TT

This was a good, clean race that only lacked one thing, namely more drivers. Can't we, who enjoy this series try and muster up some fresh faces? I know the ever present crowd of "We don't need anything new so go away" over at LFS official forum is not a pretty sight, but still... Some well placed posts backed up by all of us might do some good?

Great fun, even though there were few starters.

Started out with 4 of us all within about 1s of each other, then Jan seemed to have some troubles and slow, leaving Kieran, Magnus and I to battle it out. We were pretty much nose to tail (very nose to tail at a couple of moments hehe) until the end.

Awesome race! Great fun trying to keep Stefan's FXO behind.

For a while I allready thought it would be another joyride like in South City. After few laps I had a nice few seconds gap to the main group. Stefan was fast in quali, but it's so easy to cook your tyres here (or anywhere nelse for that matter), that I didn't know what to expect from him. FXO starts so slowly offline, that apparently he was just slowed down by other XRTs before he was able to really but the hammer down. Can't remember the lap of our first encounter, but it was a nice few corner "getting to know eachother"-fight. Few laps afterwards we were doing some laps inside one second until Stefan gets out from the fast chicane much faster. The pass needs two corners, but he leaves me no choices. Great pass, great race. I only wonder how he kept his tyres so cool.

And yes, where the h*ll was everybody. I remember there were lot more signed for the race than there were on the grid.

Great Race for me. :) Got Pole with my last try with just a few hundreth of a second. I knew that the 3 XRTs behind me will pass before the first turn, so I prepared for a hard race. I couldn't close the gap to Roger until mid race, but overtaking is hard in this slow cars where slipstream doesn't really matter. I could overtake him at a rather unique turn and after that it was just saving the front tyres till the end. :) Right front was red in the final laps, so fast laps weren't possible anymore.

More drivers would be great. I can only speak for german lfs drivers, who had the leagues with the biggest prize money available for lfs a few years ago (e.g. Pro Series), but neither the organizers nor the drivers have the fun/will/motivation to drive lfs with its slow progress (if you can call it "progress"). We are the opposite of the official lfs forum ;)

It's all up to the developers, everyone knows that except for 3 people.

Well that's not really fair to the devs is it? :) They do what they think is right and so far they have delivered fairly on time, twice a year(with the exception of the VW Sirocco). We've seen patches and test patches roughly every six month up until the last one, which was a fail.

No, the problem is people who think a series at Race2Play costs money and those who (like many LFS:ers) are afraid to try something different, to go outside the box that is their usual league and forum of choice.

I wonder if creating a Race2Play page in the "LFS Racing>Leagues and Events" section would help raise the profile?

Obviously there was an initial spat with that idiot before, but surely not all on that forum are the same. I know they are not, one of the admins there PM'd me to apologise for him.
