GTC-West Hockenheim

well that was the worst race for me in ages sorry to whoever I banged fenders with.

got a killer start then promptly looped it in T2. worked my way back up to 3rd or 4th before my pit. Had some killer racing with Barry.

Then I pit all was well and promptly ran right into the tire barrier exiting the pits knocking the whole front end off. had to limp around like that until at least lap 20. Went in again and it took like 3 minutes to pit me. Came out in 16th and went to work, good news was car was ok not perfect but ok.

ended up working my way back to 9th and 1 car lenght behind 8th with 7th in sight :S

SHould have went with mediums all the around. 2nd stop i was fast the whole stint. I got in the marbles on lap 3 and lock up into the tire wall which damaged the splitter causing massive understeer.

took 2 tyres on my stop and got up into 7th when I got hit 2 times from behind before this operator decided to punt me off. I mean hitting me 2 times wasnt hint enough to be cautious?? Every other race I get punted off by these computer operators who think they can drive. Im about to stay offline.

Had some good racing early till i boned it. I should have finished 7th or 8th.

I saw that happen going into T2, Shane. Shame that! :(

I managed a PB in qual with a 1:25.3, but then Darin had to go and ruin a potential pole for me by running a smokin' 1:25.1! Dangit! ;)

Started 2nd, got a mediocre start, was 3rd into T1, but when Darin looped it in T2 I found myself in 2nd behind my teammie, Conor. I just tried to run a smooth, consistent pace in hopes of putting some distance between us and 3rd. It worked pretty well, but Darin was reeling me in slowly, but pretty surely. I just stayed focused.

Before 2nd pit stops I found myself in the lead! Apparently, Conor had some temporary connection issues. After the final pit stop I had about a 10 or 11 second gap to 2nd (Conor). I just tried to run quick, but consistent without doing any bonehead moves. By the end Conor had whittled my lead down to about 4 seconds, but I was rationing the time and not pushing any harder than I needed.

I was fortunate enough to bring home the big trophy this time and Conor joined me on the podium with Ryan getting into the Top 10! Go SoCal! :)

First race on race2play and had great fun...was hanging in there til' my pits. I need to work on my strategy 2:40 in the pit will kill you...took way too much time. Only changing two tires makes a huge diff. Should have done much better but I'm learning. Thanks everyone, it was fun.

That was some of the best fun i have had in quite some time concerning a league race. I got very little practice before jumping in but was very familiar with Hockenheim. Right off the bat i lost 3 positions after taking a hard bump forcing me to 10th. A few laps later i found myself in 7th fighting for 6th. I did some of the best overtaking i have ever done in my sim racing career. I was running soft tires and i knew that i had to try my best to not use them up too much! I ran a pit strategy of heavy fuel and taking no fuel on my final stop to save time.

The tires ended up not lasting too great and i pitted in early. The first stop went fine without a hitch and i found myself behind Shane. I was following him closely for a couple laps and ended up accidently hitting his rear end after he braked a bit earlier for turn 2.

My final pitstop was a mixup and i wasnt supposed to be taking on fuel but for some reason the game gave me 21 fuel which caused precious seconds. I exited the pits finding myself in 9th with 8th and 7th dead ahead. I had fresh soft tires and 6 laps to go so i drove like no other and passed both of them to retain 7th. Great battles from everyone! very professional racing

I had a good start, passed 3 who got tangled and slowed down. I went into the grass to avoid a re-entry , but only lost 1 posistion. A few laps later I throw it into 1st gear and go sideways, so back to 10th. Worked my way back up to 8th before pit. My first stop was on lap 15, changed the fronts. Came out in 15th?12th? passed a few in the pits, over the next 10 laps. Pit again and changed all 4 to hard because my mediums did not last. I went with a full load of fuel from the start. So im in 12th and just put up 1:28's the rest of the way. Passed guys in teh pits up to 6th place. Slowly tracked down Thomas. We went back and forth for 5-6 laps, each making small errors to trade posistions. Got past him for the last time on lap 37, and held him off less than a second away, the rest of the way. Great battle Tom Thomas.

Had a good race. My pre-race strategy was to keep it between the lines and except for two small offs, I did just that. Started 11th which I didn't feel was too bad (for me) and was able to get to 6th by the end of the race. Spent most of the time by myself on the track until after the last pit stop .....came out just ahead of the leaders and let them by with Ryan and myself running 5th and 6th. Got by him once when he made a small mistake but a lap later ended up letting him get back by when I went on the grass. But it was a fun racing with him at the end....

Grats on the win, Tommy and great job by Ryan for getting a Top 10...it sure wasn't an easy race by any means ;).

I practiced a bit with Tommy before the race trying to get the setup working. The car wasn't too good and I wasn't too pleased with it. I did managed a good qual time that got me 3rd but the car still didn't feel that good. I finally hit the nail on the head during warm up when I made a slight toe adjustment that made the car feel mighty fine during the race ;P.

The start of the race was interesting. I got an okay jump but I moved around Tommy for 2nd because he was in the lousy lane and backed off before turn 1. In turn 2, Darin spun around which gave me the lead. I then started pulling off some decent laps until my tires were worn and then, I came in for the first stop with Tommy right behind me.

The second stint pretty much lost me the race. My fucking anti-virus popped up and minimized my game right when I was heading into turn 4. I nailed the brakes because I was basically blind so if I hit anyone right there, im sorry, but I couldn't see anything :(. That dropped me behind Tommy who I had a decent lead over. So, I cussed around a bit but I kept going. The next lap, it does it to me again in the corner before but this time I was able to pull over and shut the damn thing off...probably something I should've done before I even raced :P. That lost me two more spots and dropped me about 20 seconds behind Tommy.

Ugh, so I come into my final stop and saw Tommy sitting in his pits. So i realized he wasn't all that far ahead from me and after my stop, I gained about 7 secs on him, all pretty much in the pits. With about 10 laps to go, I started clicking off fast laps. I had multiple 1.25s including that 25.3 and very low 26s. This allowed me to reel Tommy in about a second a lap. Unfortunately, I ran out of time and ended up being 4 secs away from him at the finish. No biggie, he's a teammate so Im pleased with the SoCal 1-2 finish, even when I came in second :P.

Well, its off to Valencia! One of my favorite tracks in GTR2 :P. Cya'll there...

I was having a great race and running in P6 with 8 laps to go, but another pitstop debacle cost me 4 positions at the finish. Unfortunately, I didn't quite understand how the pitboard system worked for refueling. I was running low on fuel and wanted a little splash on my second pitstop but didn't know you had to add the fuel you wanted to how much fuel was in your tank on the pitboard. So, I exited the pits without receiving any fuel and 3 laps later I had to make a third pit stop to refuel. (argh...)

I was actually in P7 when I left the pits for the third time but I was so frustrated that I could barely focus to keep the car on the track. After a lap or two, I ran wide coming onto the front straight and lost two positions. Then going into T2, I had P3 trying to get around me and P10 hot on my bumper. In trying to protect my position, I accidentally bumped P3 as he cut underneath me in the corner. (sorry Fernando) Fortunately, it didn't cost him any positions but it did cost me one more spot as P10 managed to get by.

I guess I'll chalk this up as another learning experience and move on the the next race. Congrats to my teammates Tommy and Conor on their 1-2 finish. Next time I'll try to add a few more point to the mix.

I didn't qualify well at 13th.Had a plan going until my 1st pitstop,pitted with a car in front and one behind.As it turns out,the car in front had the adjoining pitbox and in frantically searching for it,i missed it.With the car behind still to reach his pitbox,i had to continue thru without stoppng and do another lap.I guess pulling over in pit lane and reversing back to you pitbox would be an emphatic no no.I was surprised that after a drive thru and 2 pitstops,i managed to finish 8th.
