rFBMW: Mid Ohio

Horrid...that describes my race.

Punted on lap 1 turn two, (see screenshot). The car was not drivalbe from that point on, even after a 100 sec stop to repair damages...it was still oversteering to the right and understeering to the left.

I wanted to push the escape button but managed to coast around , only in order to finish.

After been punted in race one too, (also turn 2 lap one), I feel as if I should adjust my practise method....

Go out....drive into a wall and practice with a bent car...very disappointed

Congrats to the top 3! And to my teammate Ryan, who had a great qual but some misfortune in the race!

I was happy with my qual, which was close to my pb. I completely miss the start, nearly causing an incident, and loosing 3 or 4 spots in the process. Then, on T2, someone to my left side made a move towards me that made me overreact and put me on the grass. Another 6 spots! So, running in 19th place, I got to my pace and started a comeback that put me in 12th place. Then, I got surprised by Thomas B. who braked early in the chicanes and punt him. Seeing the replay, it seems that he had problem with his car. So, no hard feeling over this one but I took the drive trough penalty, which took me back a couple of spots. Then I ran a few laps OK until I made a little mistake that disturb me. It took me out of my pace and I did another mistake, which brought me back in 15th. With some other guys misfortune, I finaly finished in 14th place.

But, inspite of that result, I consider this race to be one of the most satisfying that I race in my young racing career. I made many passes, and had some good battles, all clean in my point of view. So very happy in the end!

I'm not going to be able to make the next one but I'll be there at the end of august...

Well thats was a very good race.

Again .... terrible qualy for me ..even with 23.3 just few mints before the race in qualy couldnt keep the same level :( ....at least in race different than in long beach this time i wasnt using autogears by a mistake that almost cost me the podium there XD.

Yesterday i used the wrong strategy using very low wings (2/6) even able to make a good times ,keep the same level all the time with that wings was very scary but for my huge luck this same low wings that gave me the chance to reach the 2th place in the first lap keeping me out of troubles .

In the second position when i saw Prado infront of me also using more wings i thought at that time that fight for the second place was the best decision that i should take ... and i reached my goal without any mistake :).

Again Brazil Power Team and Critical Mach II holding the first 4 places ... very nice championship :)

Road America is one of me favorites tracks ...there i hope talk loud with E.prado and steal some points lol.

I keep running out of luck in this races!

Good qualy in 7th, great start and few conners up to 4th, them racing confortably in the top 6...until lap 3 or 4, when Justin Cruze spun and was on the racing line. A couple of cars avoided him, but for me it was impossible, I just had nowhere to go and crash into him, heavely. Car badly damaged and running times 1sec or so slower them my normal.

Still...I bring my first points home.

Bad experience for me tonight.
Qualifying went great, closest I ever got to a pole position. The start was good, first few laps were exciting but everyone stayed clean. After a while I settled into 3rd position with Charles Hodges in hot pursuit behind me. I had a few enjoyable laps racing with Charles and then I double shifted or my paddle double shifted, I am not sure which. But anyway, I spun out and was lucky to avoid a collision with anyone. I resumed the race in 6th position behind Mark Carty. Then on the long straight Mark spun out and I passed him and then disaster struck.

I was going down the long straight on lap 12 in 5th position, approaching a lapped car (many laps down I believe). He was driving erratically, and I approached on his left side. Now IMHO, he should have let off the gas and let me through, but perhaps he was not aware I was around? Anyway, there was plenty of room on the straight for me to go past, but he swerved over quickly and took me out. After that I limped home with a badly damaged car to salvage 11th position.

I thought I had a handle on the set up for the car, but I really had no clue. The previous fBMW pole at this track was a 1:26.5 or so... When I ran a 1:25.6 in private testing, I thought I was well ahead of the game... Then I see these guys running times in the 1:23's.... I mean, come on.... my enthusiasm dropped way off for the race after that, and my performance really showed. I started 15th after blowing my qualifying run. Worked my way up into the top 10, but driver error on two occasions, kept dropping me back. Finally ended up 12th, probably only due to others misfortunes... Not sure if I am looking forward to Road America or not... at least with such a big track, everyone should be able to get a clean qualifying lap...

Thanks goes to team Kamikaze for all their help, and to those team mates who did share their setup information with the others.... I really enjoy the team and the laughs ( The " irish inch" thing was classic on Team Speak last night )

Yeah not a great place to park the car, but the car infront of me slowed down way more than expected and I ended up locking up and dropping it trying to avoid punting him. Shame because I was enjoying the scrap before that. Probably shouldve caught that spin though =.=
After that and the collision with Angelo, the steering was damaged and bad things happened from there....

Anyways grats to Eduardo on the win and a faultless drive, hope to see you guys again soon!

Good race back with we mid-fielders. Lots of pressure from fellow team-members for most of the race. Fortunately I was blissfully unaware just how close I came to being history. (see screenshot!)
I was happy to finish first of the "slow' guys (though i think i was holding up some faster cars, but they have to make the pass) :)
Looks like I'll have to miss Road America and Mosport :( - 2 of my favorite tracks

I really wanted that 10th place you were holding for me. I'm glad to see we both made it to the finish after a couple of close calls
