Panoz: Long Beach

Well done to JR on his first race and first win in the series.

Grats to Jan Larsen and Formula 05 on their respective titles.

My race was somewhat compromised early doors by some fairly shocking driving in the early corners, which will be dealt with.

Suffering a damaged car from so early round here did not help, and eventually hit the wall too hard and finished it off on Lap 11.

Good stuff to watch at the front, a little too much headlight flashing going on through the field, not just when indicating to overtake either......

Gutted got pole which surprised me since I hardly did any practice but I do like this track and car so made the mistake of opting for a 1 pit so I guessed some would not pit I had to get a move on then at the start I got away well but Spyros Derekis was like a rocket past us all Spyros braked early for T1 which made me lock up to avoid got away with it I was pushing like made trying to find a way past the a back marker caused Spyros to have a little moment which let me through then my lack of practice came shining through :) pushing like hell down the back straight baked to late got a puncture then hit the wall several times after that and my car was down on top speed but I had fun

Awesome race!!!

Was disappointed by qually, so had to start in 4th, which is horrible on a streettrack.

Had a mediocre start but gained a place and lot 1, so was in 4th after T1. We had a nice 5 car train for many laps, and I could benefit from small errors or backmarkers to gain places.
I had Kieron right behind me for the rest of the race, which made it some intense racing, especially as it is a streetcircuit (did I already mention that ;) ).
I had no idea what tyres to take, so I started on hards, but after the race they were still half to 3/4 okay :P.

Great race, shame I missed the other events.

Good racing guys. Didn't know how much fuel to use so I filled her up and put the hardest tires. Later on during the race I notice people were pitting. I started wondering why my tank was still full and my tires were still in tacked.

O'well, first race for me. I did use my headlights to let the other driver know I was going for the pass or just to let the other driver know we had a good little battle. Either way, blast racing with you guys.

One thing I didn't like was the beginning of the race. Felt like a public server with people banging there way to the front of the line. Way to aggressive driving.

Another great race. Jan already had the championship, I was in 2nd but Boyd and Spyros could still take it from me. So my race plan was to finish ahead of Boyd and stay close to Spyros.

In Qual I thought I'd grabbed pole from Barney by .002 secs but he put in a flyer on his last lap to go half a second faster.

Got an okish start but Spyros got a belter and moved upto 1st putting me in 3rd behind Barney with Jeffrey Behind me. Starting lap 9 and the top 4 where still nose to tail, but now we were starting to lap some guys. Halfway round Spyros lost a little time due to a slower car and Barney was able to take the lead down the back straight. But on the folowing lap Barney lost the rear in the right hander after the backstraight and spun infront of us. We got round him ok but I did have to go defensive in the folowing left hander to keep Jeffrey behind me.

I was now pushing Spyros as hard as I could to try and push him into a mistake as it's the only real way of getting past someone on this tight track. He was having none of it though and soaked up the pressure well. Lap 13 and entering the right hander before the back stretch and a slower car ran wide into the tyres straight ahead of us. Again we got round ok but it gave Jeffrey a great run on me down the straight. I ran him upto the wall to try and get him to brake early for the right hander that was coming up, but he managed to get infront of me before the braking zone giving him the chance to take a better line and to move up to 2nd.

Lap 20 and we were still nose to tail and Now Rogier was closing fast and only 2 seconds behind me. Also Jeffrey managed to take the lead by out dragging Spyros down the back straight. On lap 21 I managed to get past Spyros as he locked a wheel and ran wide at T4. It seemed me and Jeffrey picked up the pace a little at this point as Spyros and Rogier started to drop back a little and a couple of laps later Rogier made a pitstop leaving Spyros alone.

Lap 24 and I noticed Spyros droping down the leader, and checking the replay after the race unfortunatly he lost the rear and got grounded on those huge curbs entering the final turn. He got unstuck but he was now a lap down, but to make things worse his engine blew 5 seconds later :(.

So that just left me and Jeffrey 30 odd seconds ahead of Mike D.S who was in 3rd at that point. I just did all I could do really and hang onto the back of Jeffery and wait for a slight opening or maybe traffic. Jeffrey drove great though and there was never even a half chance for me to sneak by. Still second was good enough for me and it got me what I wanted :).

Grats Jeffrey on the race win, and Rogier on getting 3rd. Grats also to all the finishers and thanks to all the lapped traffic. And thanks to everyone who turned up to these races this last season, it's been great fun and it's been brilliant have been able to race these cars again Hopefully they'll be back next season. And finally thanks to everyone behind the Tuesday night races for putting this series together, I love you guys :D.

Well, I don't need to say much, Kieron said everything, perfectly written!
I had a fantastic start, from 5th to 1st, but those damn curbs ruined my race!

Congrats Jeffrey, Kieron and Rogier for the podium.

I have challenged Kieron in some races and I have to say his driving is inspirational! Well done, hope to see you in another series.

Congrats to Nick and all the guys behind this chapter for one more succesful series and of course Jan and Formula 05 for the titles!

Hello friends ..

my summary of this evidence begins to qualify the wrong turn and ended up dropping rapidly in 11th place.

I went with q not a tactic used none in evidence during the season .. out of full tank and hard tires, intending to finish without stopping in the box.
Sadly missed missing 9 minutes to finish the race playing out all the tactics ..

a pity I have problems in game 1 of the race, but still I am very happy with the final
