rFBMW: Mexico #1

Why was I being atacked out there tonight in the races? I've done 3 races here tonight and been hit hard/off at least 5 times (sobs! lol).

Qualified 10th and got a good start jumping up to 7th I think. That's where my good fortune for the day ended. Into Turn 4, David made a pass on me and then Silva ran into me and bent my rear suspension. Made the handling in the bends very tricky and I'm sure it made some people impatient behind me in the bendy section as from then on I was having to drive a very defensive race. Got involved in a long and lively battle with Dos Santos, at times it felt a bit too lively with noses being stuck in everywhere, including into turn 2 on lap 13 when he tried to poke into a small gap and spun me off. Somehow I still finished 10th.

Good choice of Track by Simon this one. Nice one :)

Started 9th and ended 5th without really passing anyone. I was the beneficiary of others misfortune. By the end my left front was very 2nd hand, which showed in the lap times.

Terrible mistake, was running first, 3 second advantage, came out of easiest corner, hit curb, was out basically :(

I'm never not practicing for a race again! :P

I preoccupied myself driving the Panoz all day, and had never turned a lap at Mexico City. The Panoz race finished pretty late so I dashed onto the server, asked for a setup and then when i got one, I couldn't drive it.

I mashed a setup together and hoped for the best, but my speed was rubbish on the straights and the car was bottoming out all over!

Wondered how come I could virtually keep up with you for so long Liam , made a nice change !

Forgot to install this version of the track, so due to the late finish of the Panoz race, I got minimal practice in. Mashed together a setup for qual and changed it again in warm up.

Got a blinding start (followed Liam), but spun coming out the esses, hit the wall and dropped to last. Had a 59s pitstop. Rejoined 1 lap down.

Benefitted as others fell off to finish in 18th.

I got a few laps in earlier in the day, but I hadn't done any racing in months so I was pleased with my practice times. Qualy was a little less enjoyable. I only had two laps which had a chance at pole, the first I had a car that wasn't loaded in front of me and the second was basically a race with someone else to get to the finish.

Either way, my start position wasn't terrible. I actually had a good start and was on my way to what I thought was a reasonable race, but Dominik really put the pressure on and I spun myself out on a corner skirt. Eduardo did a great job of dodging me, sorry about that, but I was in such a rush to get out of the way that I reversed into the wall. I let everyone by, but spun again on the way to the pits, killing my front wing. The stop was over 2 minutes, but the car was probably 90% when I came out and balanced, so I raced some people until the finish trying to unlap myself as much possible... which wasn't much being two laps down.
