SRF: Croft

Had a lot of fun out there tonight =)
Qualified midfield and got a bad start dropping 4 places, which put me right in line to get caught up in the kerfuffle out of the opening turns as someone span infront of me (do I have a magnet that attracts that? It's happened so often lately) and couldnt avoid it because I was in a sandwich of cars, so clipped him and I went upwards damaging the car.
Despite that had some great long fights with people like Herrero, Topham (sorry if my spin caused you to have one of your own) and Gomes. Lots of passing, repassing and side-by-side action through the turns, particularly with Simon and in the last laps with Danny after my late pitstop. He really was attached to my gearbox for the last few laps but I managed to hold him at bay (nice one Danny!) and on the last lap we'd caught up to Goldsbrough who left the slightest gap for me to get inside of him into the final turn on the final lap and steal 12th from him lol.

Crazy, great battles throughout with Zak and James, too bad I couldn't get higher than 3rd, but they were faster than me overall, good racing and fair racing.

My first time out in these cars, and despite being off the pace by a few seconds I did enjoy myself. No idea how I lost a couple of spots after pitting, but none-the-less a good race. Was only a mid-pack effort for most of the race, but I managed to pick up some spots as others came unstuck. After my mandatory stop I came out and ran the rest of the race pretty smoothly until late on the second last lap I looped it around. This allowed those behind me to close the gap up and Mark was able to grab the spot on the final corner with a (very) late braking maneuver. Good racing all round I felt, I look forward to the rest of the series.

Congrats to the podium, I was watching the 'Leader' section of my HUD change between the front runners back and forth, sometimes flashing so quickly you couldn't even read it!

Fantastic battle throughout this race.

Made a cracking start but Zak and Dan were on my rear straight away. I knew then that it was going to be a closely fought race. We were glued together until the pit stops. I pitted first leaving Dan and Zak to battle away. I knew once I got back on track I had to make some serious progress to overlap them once they pitted. Luckily I ended up 2 seconds ahead of them both after. I then made a critical error at the final hairpin by out braking myself, letting them both through.

I managed to get into the front again on the last lap until a back marker span across me into t3. Luckily I narrowly avoided and carried on to take a hard fought and close victory :-)

Only 20 drivers at the end? Or the standings show only the 20 bests...
I had to unscribe in the two races and there were a lot of 'waitings'...

Complete blow out for me.

During quali my graphics went to pot as someone entered the game, I managed to finish the session but ended up last nowhere near the times I had been setting offline.

When I escaped out rFactor froze on me and had to restart the PC. Got back in the game in time to make the grid but when I went to engage 1st gear during the start process I realised my wheel settings were all screwed up/down shift had swapped. The lights went out so I started but with the wheel in the state it was I never got beyond the first corner sequence.

First time in these cars and I throughly enjoyed myself. Qualified midfield after not getting the best out in the qual session.

Held onto 12th early in the race until a psin dropped me to 16th. Worked my way back onto the back fighting for 12th and had a great battle with Mark Wicks. Concentrated too much on him spinning and spun in sympathy and later clouted the tyre barrier.

Battled on to finish in 15th. Not bad for my first race. Should get better with experience.

That was really fun!!!!

Got a good start but lost a place but got that back at the end of the lap. From then on it was pretty much James, Me and Dan. Had a brief scare where James suddenly reappeared right in front of me on a straight then warped out again and ended up behind both Dan and I. Was lots of side by side wheel banging going on all the way up to the pit stop then after as well which was fun.

Was lucky on the last lap not to get caught up by the spinning car but managed to get back up past Dan for 2nd and was going to cut back inside you James out of the last corner and totally missed Dan slinging a move down the inside so concentrated on getting across the line in 2nd but wow what a race!

Quite happy with my first race. Was a couple of ticks off the pace but pitted late and got to drive with the leaders, learnt a couple of things about how they drive these buckets and managed to set a PB with plenty of fuel. Hopefully I'll do a little better next time.

Got spun out quite early on so was driving on my own for the second half of the race, just kept it nice and tidy for a decent finish.
