GTC-West Imola

Sam, Conor and Jeff you guys are fast! I always enjoy watching you guys pass me at about lap 23 or so! I might have a pretty good race someday if I stop all the rookie mistakes but, what the hell I sure make it interesting for myself. Thanks Berry for some close racing even if you did pass me. I had a lot of fun.

Great finale. What a way to end it. Hehe.

The starts are so hectic with all those cars in close proximity. Wow. Made it through the first lap unscathed this time. Whew. Got tagged in the second lap though! LOL. But np, no damage, just spun around, and I was on my way quick enough. It actually just made it a little more interesting. More cars to pass. :) Was down to 15th I think!

Had some great mini battles. Namely with John and Gregg. Seems we are always close on track. Good fun guys. I enjoyed it much.

Pitting went as planned, and after my two stops I found myself in 7th, chasing down Garry and Bill. Took me a good 7-8 laps to get close, and just as I did, they came together and Garry spun around. I was watching them at the time, and ended up distracted, driving into the gravel on my own! Doh! Luckily the momentum carried me through and I regained the track before Garry did. hehe.

Then I set about getting after Bill. Made up the 5 secs he had pulled because of my off, and was closing in fast. Too bad we ran out of time though. Just needed 1 more measly lap! LOL. crossed the finish line scraping his rear bumper. Great stuff.

Another series that was well worth the effort. Thanks guys, I enjoyed every race. Tough competition I tell ya. Grats on the win Sammy. And to Conor too, for the championship. Well done mate.

I'd like to thank my team-mates as well as Can-Am takes 3rd overall. With 3 of us in the top 6. Sweet. WTG boys.

My race was finished before T1 on lap1. like Dean said the starts are hectic, but everyone should know that the car are going to check up alot on the 1st lap. I went from 6th to 17th because someone has no patience. No excuse for it, not going to mention names,every race Tim say's take it easy on 1st lap, some guys just don't get it.

Grats to Sam on his win and Connor on his second place.

I would like to thank my crew for working so feverishly on getting my car set-up, there were power and coast issues with the differential along with a broken fuel line right off the trailer and they put it all together just in the nick of time for qualy.

I qualy'd my usual 4th, for reasons beyond me I cannot qualify much faster on lighter fuel than on full tanks :(

Race starts off frantically, I lose 1 spot at turn 1, I let the position go as this race will level itself out and patience is rewarded at this track, after lap 1 I am P5, side by side with roman going thru the S/F line and his car lags wildly, we hit but both stay on track, Whooo close call, Sam and Connor check out, barry, roman and I are nose to tail for 6 or more laps when all of the sudden barry loses the back end to gremlins @ T6 and somehow doesn't collect me, so with that close call done i hunt down roman and stay w/i 0.3 the rest of the first stint, he pits, I hit 4 fast laps in a row trying to make up about 2 seconds because if I can do that my crew will get me the rest of the way, I make up the time and when all the stops are complete I have a 3 second lead over roman and thats exactly what was planned, doesn't always work, but when it does...its sweet!

13th, 13th, 13th , I can shake this #! What a great race, fortunateley I got knocked out of 13th in qualee by Kristion, so I feel a bit better now for the start, and it wasn't to bad.
I had some awesome racing, especially with Dean (great caption in photo, remember the moment distinctly he he)and also with Ryan Ansoon and Mark Carty. Dean your pressure was felt lap after lap trust me, I was probably driving equally with my eyes in my mirror as much as looking forward! I think we all went into the pits on the same lap which gave me a moment to breath right after you got by me.
Ryan also kept great pressure on me for many laps, but it wasn't until Mark and I got down to the last 5 -6 when it got hairy. Mark awesome driving, I was concerned at first not ever running with you, but after you made a few attempts to pass, I knew you were showing patience and professional skills which I thought allowed me to just drive, but as it turned out, I lost it all on my own only to relinquish P8 and fall all the way back to finish...13th!! What FUN, a fantastic race and a big thanks to Conor for a quick setup that worked great. Just not quite as good as he works it, obviously -
Congrats to Conor on the Championship in GTC!!

Thx all for the season , what a great fun it was too , some really good fights with Conor and many others on many occations :).

Well done for the championship Conor and gtrs to Barry too for the 3rd place on final results.

This race went as good as it could go and i could keep the pace going without any probs , sure was a surprise to have a allmost mistake free Imola.. this place is not a good track for me usually.

Don't remember any probs in whole race and had a comfortable lead before the end , too bad i couldn't repeat this in the next 2 races i did here ;).

This was my main GTC series but the few problems early on made it a chase which Conor eventually won , but i enjoyed the challenge and the company very much... Thx all once again... :)
