Firstly, congrats to Liam on his championship! :)
Secondly, congrats to the top-4 in this race! It was amazing to sit back and watch you lot fight in this race, with an amazing last-turn & run to the line (go DB! lol), I really couldnt tell who'd got it from the trackside camera lol.
Thirdly, congrats to whoever won the teams title, I cant do the maths before the results are published to work out if HP or Phoenix got it but well done whoever haha.

Starting last I didnt expect much, just wanted some fun and to beat Liam lol :P
Made a good enough start and was up about 4 places before approaching the final turn on the opening lap when I got a loss of all power and flames from and in the car, race and championship over in a blaze of non-glory! haha. Seriously though what happened? lol, first time in my 164 race R2P career that I have an actual car failure cause a dnf (and only my 9th ever!) and at such a crucial race, bummer haha.

Well was i in for a pleasant surprise!

Haven't used RFactor since the Le Mans special event and only joined in to help Phoenix try and secure a few points.
Fired it up last night to see how it felt and luckily they are on rails!

Managed a PB in qualy - less than 0.2 off pole! but that was all undone at the start as i got massive amount of wheelspin :P and dropped to 4th behind Pablo.
Pushed him hard for many laps then came my chance as he got a bit wide on the gravel and through i was, then it was just wait and see if the lead 2 left me any space to try a move too.
We were pushing really hard and having a ball!

My chance came on the last lap to take the lead which i did on the run upto the corkscrew but 2 going into there is asking for trouble :P and that left Pablo and James another opportunity and we all went into the final turn and turned the whole race into a drag race to the finish!
i lost out on 1st by 0.006s! mainly due to my splitter had been left at the corkscrew :P and all 4 of us finished within a second if my memory serves me correct!

Stunning race! probably my best ever for entertainment, me and Pablo were giving it some and i had a cracking view of the fight for first!

I have to say this race has come at an important time, because i've been toying with giving it a break due to work load but i'm having second thoughts now :D

Congrats to Matt, Pablo and James! for giving me a race to remember ;)

Firstly I just need to say how shocked and half gutted I was when I saw some flames come from Mark's car as I drove past him. He was gonna be hard to pass, I was driving a firly consistent race at the start but when he dropped out, I just went for it since I had nothing to lose. Managed to get 8th place and cruised across the line, which was a good achievement given my extra 55kg.

TS was great tonight, nice congrats from my mates on there and I felt great. Thanks to Matt and Michael for this great series and I'm glad to walk away from it with a fantastic reward. Thanks so much!

The team was unlucky to miss out on the Team title as we'd performed so well all season, but that's racing in the URL for you hey?

I wanted to say Thanks to the Drivers that servered their Drive Thru Penalties.

This is how racing is suppose to be. If every race was run like this one, Race2Play.com would be a better place.

Extremely tight racing up front, drivers taking their D/T's, and everyone pretty much racing clean.

I take my hat off to everyone that drove today.

Firstly congrats to Liam on winning the champ, unlucky Mark that is a strange 1 and thanks for the organisers for running this great championship.

What an absolutely amazing race, one of the best ever!!

Had a great battle with James throughout, 3rd and 4th then catched up while I was defending from James.

Thought we were all going to hit the wall in the last corkscrew but somehow we all made it! and the last turn well... james gave me a tiny tap knocking me ofline and wide, I then forgot to change down so was in 4th coming out of the last corner but still managed to get the drag to the line! Absolutely fantastic and my first win :-)

Managed to come 2nd in the champ aswell, woohoo!

First of all, well done to Liam, you deserve it mate. :)
And to Phoenix for winning the teams.
And Matt, on his first win!

I'm disappointed about how my own race went. I had the pace of the guys at the front, however my win at Miller put me to the back of the grid but I'm not annoyed about that.

However, on the run upto the Corkscrew on the first lap a car braked very early and ran off the track before rejoining in a pretty dangerous manner, I'm not sure whether they tried to turn back or not. But anyway.

That screwed up the handling massively, which meant on the next lap I spun it into Corkscrew again and I backed it into the wall.

Despite this, and the fact I'd lost the splitter, bonnet, rear bumper, rear wing and each suspension was bent, I carried on, determined not to DNF. The wheel was pulling about 45 degrees over on the straights...

I actually started running a decent pace and passed people! Even more amazing - I managed to finish the race!

So I'm disappointed with myself yet satisfied that I didn't give up. :)

I've never had a battle like that before in my life! Me and Coxy we're at each others throats for the whole race. We were talking to each other on TS winding each other up as we went along. Amazing fun! with 2 laps to go is where it all happened!

David and Pablo had worked hard all race to gain up to me and Coxy. Eventually I run wide after going side by side with him through T5. This let David through, and left me fending off Pablo. (Me and Pablo had a similar finish last year in the same mod at the same track, so i knew what he was capable of!) On the very last lap David and Coxy were side by side into the Corkscrew where contact was made, sending Coxy sliding into the side of David. With this I got sideways in my braking point in sheer excitment as I though I had the lead, but no! Coxy slide back into the lead with David pushing back into 3rd position with Pablo quietly waiting in the back, ready to pounce. T10 and 11 was where the magic happened. I got a fantastic run through T10 and dummied Coxy to the right before the braking zone, then back to the left as I started braking. As this happened, Coxy eased across in front of me and clipped my front end, causing him to slide slightly wide at the exit of the corner taking David with him, Pablo playing the optimist roll in this scene, dived up the inside and unfortuantly slightly clipped my rear sending me sideways to the inside wall. From here, the stage was set for a drag to the flag.

Coxy, David and Pablo we're off just ahead of me, and the rest is history, until I heard Coxy going completely mental over TS as he took his first Victory, from David then Pablo.

A monumental end to an monumental battle. I would happily stop Sim racing as you can't get better than that.

I took the Lap record in the race which show's you just how hard we were running at the front.
