I menaged to get into P2. Started 4th and on start get past Nabil and i was easy with Andrew, from Jr team, but unluckely he got collected by spinnig car :(

Even with that gr8 result for ur team. 1st and 2nd and gr8 start of the championship :)

Fluffed my start and dropped from 8th to 12th on the first lap. Had some good battles, made some errors and dropped back, then just put my head down and clawed my way back into contention. When a couple of guys made errors I was through. In the last laps I had caught Rocha and Cox, and made seperate passes on both of them on the brakes into the chicane, including getting Cox on the final lap around the outside into it which I was very happy with, and scoring 4th was a delight and unexpected :)

Pretty good race for me - another top ten finish.

Qualifying was good, managed 6th on the grid with a time nearly half a second faster than any time I had managed in practice.

The race itself wasn't quite as fruitful, dropped a few places off the grid and was in a good battle with vladamir, he passed me under braking into the back chicane and I managed a pass coming out of the esses. We touched on the exit of the final corner - i thought i was clear and pulled across; and I apologise to Vladamir for the contact. Couple of offs in turn 1 for me broke up the battle and I didn't have the pace to catch up.

Regained the place after Vladamir span on the exit of the esses and managed to up my pace to maintain the gap and slow the rate Vladamir was closing. Caught up to a slowing Andrew and out-braked myself into the chicane and had a half spin on the exit. Just had to bring it home after that to one of my best finished on r2p.

I had a fairly good run until the 11th lap. I was hoping for a top 10 finish but not the way it happened. I am very sorry Andrew that you got caught up in my spin. I started to lose it on the right side of the track and I was trying to hold the car from heading out to the center of the track. I did notice just as I was losing it that there were two cars that looked like they were going to pass on my left side. By the time in a split second I had over-steered right and then saw cars on my right. It was to late to do anything. All I hoped for was not to hit anyone.

My Team Kamikaze MX5 did good for me today. Too bad the driver didnt run as well. I ran better lap times in the race than I did in Qualifying. Qualified 9th... got a good start and was 6th going up the hill after turn 1. I was counting on people having issues with the cars being so twitchy. I am terrible after the esses, going through that left near the sand trap where you are allowed to run wide. I lose a lot of time there. I seem to get off the other corners well. Had a good race going with Rocha. He got passed me and we ran all the way down the back stetch. He was on inside, I stayed wide, and we went though that left together. I held my line and he came in on me. We bumped doors, he stayed ahead of me through the right, then I down shifted to 2nd and wound up the motor and passed him before the bridge. I could see Mark wicks back behind Rocha, and he got buy him... again, I was bad running after the esses, and like Mark said, he had his head down and was charging. He got a great run down the back straight, but I didnt have anything for him. I think I used up the front tires. Well done Mark. Great charge. Rocha thinks I should have taken a DT for our side bump, but I didnt change my line, and after looking at the replay, he hits me. I agree if you clearly in the lead, you have the line, however, we were next to each other, and if you are going to turn into someone, something is bound to happen. In this case, he bounced off me, sending me into the dirt at the corner, I let off to make the corner, then nailed it... I see it as a racing incident and not a punt. My 2 cents....
Is there going to be weight penalties in the series... something has got to slow down James... way to go... very impressive times bud...

25.4.3 - Right to the Line

Right to the Line
The driver in front has the right to choose any line, so long as not to be considered blocking. The driver attempting to make a pass shall have the right to the line when their front wheel is beside the door of the other vehicle.

Once the trailing car has its front wheels next to the driver of the other vehicle, it is considered that the trailing car has the right to be there and that the leading driver must leave the trailing driver enough "racing room". "Racing room" is defined as 'at least three quarters of one car width'. In most cases, incidental side-to-side contact is considered to be "just a racing incident."

Fairly easy race for me but not boring at all! These cars can four wheel drift for a life time! So fun, just be careful of the kurbs ;-)
