Donington GT4

When is this going to be rescheduled?

Oh NOW I remember why I haven't raced for 6 months :/

My 2nd ever race on R2P. Qualied ok in 10th, got good start up 2 9th then got reared ended at the first corner, back to 21st! Worked my way back up to 8th only to accidentally pull 1st gear at the 1st corner to spin. Finished 12th. Don't really understande what happened at the end? Can anyone explain, congrats to Justus!

the mistake i made it's because i don't understand the rules.
at imola, gt open i barely hit someone, nobody say anything so i trought i have no penalty, but at the end i got penalized 1 lap so i finish 13.
now i hit someone nobody say nothing but i made a pit stop when i lost 50 sec, and at the end they say they don't got any penality to me.
i don't get it.
i'm so frustrated i could finish 5 but no :|

and when the season 14 will start ?

First try in a GTR 2 race and my accelerator pedal snapped during qualifying!

Should have taken the DNF but stubbornly tried to finish the race. Hope I didn't get in anyone's way

That goes down as a terrific result for me, and I'm very happy I broke onto the GT4 podium finally after what feel's like endless top-10's for the past 3 seasons! Also snatched me 3rd in the final standings which is cool.

Arrived on server unpractised since the first time this race was meant to be run and amazingly stuck it P2 on the grid. I really didnt expect that and must confess mmy pace made me a bit nervous actually being around the sharp-end for a change.
I took an average start and Craig went by easily. Then I went off :( Petr and Gaman went by, then a little later Andy was past as well after I made another mistake. I was just too nervous on the cold tyres. Now though I was back in familiar P6 chasing down Andy and Gaman. Gaman was a bit slower then Andy and myself so we formed a close trio and then they were off at the chicane. I tucked through into a lonely 3rd place that I held to the end, though by then Craig had dropped back and was just infront of me at the end.

A very happy return to the podium for myself! And another great season in the GT4's with you guys! :)

btw has there been a rule change regarding the use of headlights?

I was knocked of at the final corner because I let what I thought was the leader through only find out it was somebody I was racing for position. Cut back to follow the "leader" through the turn and ended up making contact with the guy behind him. Two positions lost straight away. Then, because I couldn't see behind another driver though no fault of his, hit me, (I did let him pass on the S/F straight), so 3 places lost in total for what I feel was improper use of headlights.

Should have been a 1st & 3rd for MTR today with the 1st being Craigs first ever win :(

Gaman PITSTOP is not Drive through penalty. You are not allowed to pit under penalty, and stewards don't need to tell you about your penalty. Check your GTR options if your autopit is switch off otherwise everytime you get into pits you automatically going for pits stop.

As for my race it was crap even with good setup. Sorry to Dennis for the punt on lap 1. And sorry Chris for that overtaking manuever but you start braking so early and I've been more avoiding you and wasn't ready for overtaking:)

Qualy: Had a couple slow laps with traffic despite slowing down for a gap, but I put in my best lap up to that point to put myself in position for pole. I ran into traffic on the next lap and I was just really excited, but by the final sector I was down 3 tenths or so. Somehow my final sector put me a 10th up on myself and I was pretty confident of a good spot. I guess others had traffic too because I saw some very good times in practice.

Race: Way too much wheelspin on the start, but the people behind didn't go crazy. Pretty quickly it became obvious that Craig was going to be my big opponent. I was way too hesitant over the first few laps, but when I finally tried to push I went off a little at 4 and let him by. For another 10 or so laps, maybe more, we traded fastest laps, but once we hit traffic he definitely got the worst of it. The first cars let me close up and then a little while later a spinning backmarker forced Craig wide at the final chicane. Once by, I had traffic too, but I started passing them aggressively once I saw how close Craig was getting when I was stuck behind someone. A short while later Craig spun after more frustration I assume and that was it to the finish.

edit: I also had done some calcs to figure out fuel needed, but I saw someone give some advice just before the start and since I hadn't actually bothered to test GTR2's accuracy I went with that. I don't blame them, it was my own fault and it's best to be conservative, but it ended up being 5 laps too much ;)
