GTC-Euro Imola

What a plonker, doing back to back stops and still went and changed front and backs during first stop.

Good race all the same with good back markers as well.

Andy I did exactly the same thing! What a pair of plonkers! That's why we were so close at the end.
Thought I'd save myself some time doing back to backs for once but nooooooo, changed med to soft instead of putting it on no change on the rear.
Nice clean start tonight and a good race.

This was my first one and what a refreshing experience if you compare it with race behaviour on a public server.

The race itself was an absolute disaster for me. Chrashed in qualifiying. At the start I was behind a smoking car. Then I started to get behin some more and stayed there.

I tried to ride this race in my own pace although it was sometimes very tense when I got lapped. Spun a few times etc...

But I made it home. I had great fun in this race but Imola is not my circuit

i had a blast. 1st lap and i got too froggy in that backstretch mofo of a chicane and spun. ouchie. the plus side was i got to just click off the laps with no one around. i made it up to 15th just before the 1st pit stop, and pretty much stayed there the whole race.

the rest of the race was just a cruise for me. every time i would make a mistake, the guy behind me would too, and i always kept a pretty comfortable margin. i just rode it on out till the last flag.

Well.... This was a nice series :) 3 of us have 128pts. :) Kru with a race less though, but me and Tolga also had a few disasters in GTC... :) And all that together made it very interesting! At the end i have to congratulate both of them, had lots of fun racing these series with you two.

Anyway to last race now...

CJ made it to pole, but surprisingly i was able to keep my 2nd possition into T1. :) Had great racing with CJ (bumped him once sry for that) till lap11, when i made a mistake and then he pitted... I stayed longer, trying again back to back pits (2nd time in this series)... Ofcorse i lost a lot during these 2 pits, and when i finished lap 16 or so, Tolga came out of pits infront of me into 3rd(although he was +8sec when i pitted...) I wasnt gonna let him get the championship that easy, so i pressured him and made quite a great pass on him 3wide with one of backmarkers:) For me to finish infront of him and Kru who was 4th at that time in championship, i would have to win. But that was impossible since CJ was 18sec infront by then.

Still happy with the race, was one of those ones where there s lots of action. Thanks for this great and Series to all participants. Was a great one cant wait for a new season of these :) (But can we pls not pit 2times in next season :PPP...;)

I enjoyed this race, again shitty oversteery setup....but i enjoyed the battles. I had another bril start, im so PRO!!!! :))

Tx for fair drving by all (as usual) but my apologies to Javier (i think it was) as we both headed fo rth epit entry i just got caught out by him braking soooo early and it is a fast entry. So sorry Javier, I hope no damage caused and I owe you one!!! (remind me) :))

Looks like the champ is so close! I think Janko takes it on avg finishing position! I took the liberty to find this post by Todd fo ya.

The second tiebreaker is average finishing position.

First of all congrats to me for winning the ch'ship LOL. This series was great fun. Now im too glad that i didnt escd in a race which my car trashed. I got 3-4 points in that race and now im here. Every point is important now i can see this.

To the last report of GTC season 4:

Qualy wasnt good as i made few mistakes and stuck in traffic. But i could find my way in 4th position. Janko and Claus was just too fast.

Race start was strange lol. Grecian and Roman made a great start and passed both me and Ari before 1st turn. I lost time behind Grecian for 4 laps i think. Then when he made a mistake i passed him. I was chasing Roman after that. I was closing the gap and caught him after a couple of laps. When he tried to overtake a backmarker in last sector, he lost control and went to gravel. I took 3rd position after that and Krue was in my back. After this time my front was clear and i was alone till pits. I entered first pit in 14th lap and made back to back. I was surprised that i passed Janko in the pits. He was 8-9 secs ahead of me before pits. I tried to defend, but his tyres were warm and mines were cold. In second lap after pits, before the end of 1st sector he overtook me by the help of a backmarker lol. After corner exit we were side by side. I forced a bit and we were side by side for some corners after this pass. Then he started to open gap.

In last laps i was singing victory songs LOL and just cruising around the track. I knew Claus was winning easily and i knew id be champion when points are tie. :P

Grats every1 for this race, i really enjoyed.

And grats Janko and Krue for their 2nd and 3rd position in GTC ch'ship :P

P.S. My average is better Grecian :PPP

First of all grats to Sam, Janko and Tolga, just imagine if that was then end of a F1 season :)

Secondly sorry to George who I sent to have a look at the wall in T1. If it's any consolation George you came out of T1 better than I did. I just glanced to my right at the wrong time.

Enjoyed a fight with Goran for several laps. Keep coming across you at several races now Goran I'm begining to think you are stalking me :)
