Brands Hatch Radicals

No doubt a great race for me. I qualified 1st but once again spun my tires on the start allowing second (Keith) to blow by me. Next few laps I was within a second of Keith just trying to be consistent while keeping pressure hoping that he would make a mistake. Looked like he was feeling it as he was getting awfully twitching coming out of some of the corners and missing some of his apexes. Sure enough on lap 7 he ran wide into the grass exiting turn 4 (Surtees) allowing me to pass. Then I knew that all I had to do was keep a decent pace and not make any mistakes since it is almost impossible to pass b/c of the aero loss.

That said, I hate this track, its too narrow, wavey, and there are too many corners where its hard to get the apex right consistently - I'm looking at you turn 1,3,5,6,7! Especially turn 7, while leading I decided to just take that corner easy to make sure I didn't run off in the grass like I did so many times in practice.

This was a decent race for me. Qualified 11th. After a sluggish few laps at the beginning, I got into a decent zone and was able to slowly make my way from 12th to 6th as those in front of me took excursions off the track. I was hoping for an error free run, but in Lap 19, my screen went black between T2 and T3. After fumbling around I was able to bring back up the GTR Evo window and found myself sitting on the outside of T3 in the grass - sort of like waking from a bad dream. I rejoined in P8, with suspension problems, and was able to finish in 8th. I lost 20 seconds in that crash.

Turns out that Apple was notifying me that there was a new iTunes download and I think that it was goofed up my screen. I uninstalled iTunes as I don't need it on this computer.

Good job to the Podium and everyone else!

This is the first race, ever, where I really felt that I was finessing the car through the corners. I didn't get it right every corner, but I know what it's like now. I'm starting to get a feel for trail braking and slip angle. The car was not "on rails", but instead in a very subtle and controllable slide.

Tough race for me. I spent an hour or two prior to the race just trying to get used to the cars around this track that I also despise. Can't say I ever got comfortable, but by qualifications, I was at least in the ballpark.

Spent much of the first part of the race following Matt and Keith around. They were a ton faster than me in the quicker portions of the track but I would reel them in on the slower sections. That all went to hell half way through the race when I bounced off the inside curb going through turn 6, which sent me into the outside tire barriers.

After a quick barrel roll, I was able to keep the engine running and got back going again in 5th place. I don't how I was able to keep going at a relatively quick pace, but I was soon battling Fernando for 4th. After getting around him, I had about 5 laps to track down Vincent for 3rd who was a handful of seconds ahead. That wasn't enough time for me to catch and pass him and the best I could do was glue to his bumper across the finish line.

Disappointed about my costly mistake, but it could have been a hell of a lot worse so I am pleased with 4th. Grats to Matt and the rest of the podium. I'll see ya guys at Istanbul.

I got a slow start off the line and dropped back a couple of spots. I then got punted and sent straight into the wall at Druids. The impact gave me suspension damage that left me with an ill handling car the rest of the way. I kept getting the "you have suspension damage" message the entire race!

I rejoined at the back and did my best to adjust to the cars new handling. I had some really nice battles along the way working back to sixth.

I can't say I'm the happiest camper after this one. I hope to see you all at the next one.

Well do not slam right on your brakes mid turn and you will not get hit. It was merely an incident.

Awfull race for me. Haven't raced in a while and was nervous, pc struggling and music was on in my house soa ll combined I couldn't handle it...spun myself out so it was catchup from there. Had a fun few laps with J Mueller then he pulled away as I got more and more sloppy as the laps went by.

Sad performance, sorry teamates :(
