Gongrats to the winner, however that was pretty much the worst ARCA race I've ever been in. 1 or 2 laps of green at a time.. people wrecking under yellow. It was brutal.

What was up with the clearing of all the stop and go penalties for people passing before the s/f line?

Not sure there if the finish order in the top 5 is correct. I thought it was discussed that Mark Bratcher had 2nd prior to getting turned 150 feet from the checker from 3rd place. I was in 4th at the time. I'm ok with 3rd there if that's how it was ruled. Just not sure why I was awarded 2nd there.

Congrats to Tom Malanga for a nice win and good finish up front.

Need to first off apoligize to Dan Shorter for that 1st lap punt. I saw you slowing up in front of me and sliding up the track a little, but wasn't able to get on the brakes quick enough to not tap you. Sorry if it affected the rest of your race.

Caution filled event with alot of new drivers like myself (only second race on R2P), but I learned alot and after that first lap, was pretty steady for a nice finish for me.

Congrads to the top 3 and hope to have more good racin fun in the weeks to come.

I'm sorry for all the passing on the outside guys i did't know i couldn't do that. Guess thats my fault really i should've read the rules better i suppose. As my first race on here i like the way the admin was so on top of every thing. Great job admin. Most the stop and go's were of no ones doing it's just the game does that at times for no uncertain reasons that i'm aware of. I like the hard racing in here too. Some hard racers in there but at the same time i think thats why we had all the cautions too. Racing to hard to early. When guys seen we were gonna run out of time b4 we got all the laps in then it got crazy. lol. Over all for my first race in here i had a fun time with the racing i did get to do.

Can the pace car get the bonus for most laps lead?

I think as some of us new drivers get some time under our belts, the cautions will decrease and racing increase. Just got to be patient with us rookies.

Ian, the penalties that were being cleared were the bogus penalties that the game was issuing without reason. We did have two race stewards keeping a close eye on those that were asking penalties to be cleared.

I hope everyone learned from this race. I did not see anyone in particular doing anything outrageous, just each of you over stepping your own limits once or twice. The list of EOLL penalties included half the field but only two guys were asked to park-it... meaning, you all took turns at causing one caution each.

Two drivers were asked to park it for the "two EOLL penalty" reasons. One driver was parked for the wreck under caution (I offer little leniency in these situations). You all definitely kept the two stewards busy last night :-)

Learn from it guys, no one likes races like this. I will not fix it for you. It is up to you to fix your own driving to avoid this in the future. If you do not practice, consider sitting the race out for the sake of the 20+ others that did practice.

Lastly, the "Shootout" and "Showdown" events are not Elite-only events. They are designed to allow rookie drivers in so built some skill and experience. If you are looking for a more 'hardcore' race, look into our Stock Car Challenge series that run on Saturdays.

I'm not sure what happened near the back of the field, but I didn't see a single instance of "bad" driving. Clearly this recent batch of new drivers are good, experienced racers. I think it was just the lack of familiarity between the old and the new guys, plus the usual racing-too-hard-too-early, which sim racers will never be cured of.:) Once the new guys get settled in, this will be some the best racing ever!

If I could offer a little advice to our new racers:

1. Get very familiar with the R2P rules. (The stewards don't cut much slack, which keeps things predictable and fair.)

2. Get on TeamSpeak and join the conversation. (It's always more fun racing with people you "know").

Congrats on win Tom, after reviewing replay you clearly had the lead when caution flew....should clear that up. Chris can have the 2nd place points no need to move me up. I would have taken the place i finished after spin. Even though there was a penelty issued for spin, it's racing and was the best race i'd ever had. The incident under caution was my fault.Some reason I lost sight of the field for a second or two.I saw some name tags .When this happened I was on the brake off the throttle.Very sorry to Jack Ulmer.But for what ever reason I deserved what I got.
