Well that sucked. Qualy'd 4th in a 575 and I guess no one could see me. Tim asked me to reconnect, but it wouldn't let me reconnect. The server said I could only reconnect during a practice session. Tried for 5-6 minutes.

Tim, what was the problem?

Well I couldnt have driven the race better. Took pole, took it easy and controlled. Looked after the engine and tyres. Only had 4 laps left. Then Noel Hernandez just stops in the middle of the track? Leaves me nowhere to go but smashing into the back of him. Race over.

I just dont see the point anymore. I honestly think this is my last race. Too much public server mentality.

John, is it possible that he was getting Disco'd?

I had a bad race, gat a great start, was in 6th going into the final corner of first lap and I go straight off like a total nerd!!! I still make this mental mistake every ten races or so, very embarassing! Of course I drive a near perfect race the rest of the way. Feel sorry for G Didick and other victims. See youat the season finale!!

That's a bummer John, I can't say I feel any different at the moment. I had a guy in front of me about to be lapped....again....locking his wheels so bad that I couldn't see through the smoke. Eventually I screwed up, from lack of vision and rather than run into him I spun out and hit the wall flattening my tire. I guess next time I will just use his car as brakes and take the flack in the post race. Dropped from 3rd to 8th. Pretty sad.

I thought that Tim, but if you watch the replay he slows to a stop. Then after I hit him, he escapes to pit.

well i am really sorry about that i had a mechanical failure if you want to call it like that as you can see in the replay. what happened was that my wheel failed right in the middle of those chicanes my wheel was straight in the car but in my hands it was 90deg to the left after that my pedals failed leaving me in the middle of the track. again i am really sorry for what happened you had more than enough time to brake and go around me. but this is racing and anything can happen next time it happens i will try to hit esc asap.

Well, not exactly how I imagined my first win. John's bad luck was my good fortune I guess. Bad luck John. I hope to see you here again.

I too ran into some bad luck, but I believe it was a lag issue. Around lap 34 or so, I was chasing somebody down toward parabolica. I was set up to hopefully power past on the main straight so I only tucked in behind a good five or six car lengths back. Next thing I know, the car in front stops on a dime (it HAD to be a server issue because nobody is that much of an alien). That sent me spinning into the kitty litter and cost me an easy 10 seconds.

Luckily the phantom crash caused no damage to my car. Unluckily, a one Mr. Sam K was now filling my mirrors. A few laps later John discoed.

Ah well, crazy race. First 75 minutes were spent chasing consistent lap times, the last 15 had a complete races worth of excitement.

Noel I can accept that your wheel failed, but you should have escaped straight away or driven it off track if you could. But you stopped just before the corner. There was nowhere for me to go!

Edit: From the replay it looks like you wheel failed from the first chicane, but you drove on to the next chicane and to the next corner where you stopped. Thats not acceptable. You had plenty of time to either drive off track or esc. Choosing to stop where you did to fix your wheel shows a total disregard for others on the track.
