Bathurst GT

Qualifying:
It was very bad for me, two very messy laps, somehow it was enough for 3rd, I have no idea how.

Race:
Got of to a good start, but Zak got off the line even better and was ahead by "Hell" corner. I tried to stay with him on the straight, but Porsche just lacks grunt. I knew there was no way he can brake as late as me so I was counting on him outbraking himslelf into "Querry". That exactly happened, but he got just enough ahead on the straight to keep his position.

I later overtook him going into "Esses", for P2, when he made a mistake coming out of "Skyline".

I set on to try and chase down Rogier, but made few mistakes on the way. Still I kept the pressure, and had him very close in lap 17 after some of his mistakes, but coming into "Chase" in lap 18 Porsche oversteered wildly and I barely managed to keep it from hitting the wall. Lost a chance of catching him after that and just tried to take it home without Magnus getting very near me.

Porsche was very oversteery approaching "Chase", somehow I kept it in check.

I'm satisfied with the result, Porsche is not really suited for this track, so that made P2 even sweeter.

Knew that I could brake later down the outside Enis and hold it round the outside, tried in practice. Rest of my race was ok, got a good start and moved to 2nd but knew I had no chance of staying there. Just tried to keep the car on the road as it was a real handful and eventually ended up 4th so reasonably pleased with that.

Surprisingly i was looking good for a top 10 finish. Sometime later down in the second half of the race, T1 i was gearing down and my paddle shifter decided to skip from 3rd to 1st instead of 2nd, i spun out and got stuck in the very sticky sand traps for some time. I was able to rejoin the race in 12th position and was able to keep it the rest of the way.

I was hoping to keep at least my 10th qualy place in the end, but I couldn't make it. Off the line I managed to sneak among other cars and was in P6 in turn 1, but I knew it wouldn't stick until the end of the long straight with my Volvo.

I was struggling at the straightaways and keeping some guys behind in the slower twisty sections, but in lap 3 I was punted and came back to track in last place, so I could do nothing but to bring her home safe but last.

Note: I'll be filing a protest 24 hours after the race, because the driver that punt me didn't serve a D/T.

Quali had a mare smashed my car and killed the engine so no lap and at the back with Barney, Ohh Dear.
First lap was good just keeping it clean but then ooof. Someone spun it out of the last bend i hit him then Barney (who had his blinkers on) came round and smashed my rear so had damage for the whole race, Ouch lol.
With damage the car was slow and in the mountain corners very scary so my lap times were well down and no progress up the field.
Had some good racing with Franky, Jakub and Soco though so was fun.

Gratz to the podium.

The start was very hectic and I tried to make up for the slow start. That Volvo is very slow off the line with this gearing and I was afraid I was going to get hit from behind.

Had a little incident with Bas that really was no ones fault, and that took me out of the fight for some time. Tried my best to catch Enis but he was just to quick and too stable.

Had alot of fun at the back. Happy with the finishing position considering the times I put in practice.

Had some good and clean battles.

One driver penalized 1 lap for not serving mandatory drive-through after punting another car.
