V8-West Barcelona

I don't know. Felt good at the start, but I just started getting really, really angry out there with every small mistake I made. I worked hard to get by someone who was making weird braking moments and stuff, then a few laps later I blow it in Barcelona's first turn. So now I have to work my way back up. Get there, try to brake past Omar in the first turn, but go wide, then... eh. I could've kept going, but I suddenly lost quite a bit of motivation. Rather than keep myself out there all frustrated and with a jacked-up vehicle, I decided to pull over and quit.

I like these cars, and I don't. I'll keep working at it, I guess. Maybe I'll take a small break from sim-racing (nothing lengthy, just withdrawal from tomorrow's activities and go get some fresh air in some outdoor activities). And perhaps cut down on the number of sim-race activities per week. One race a day or every other day, y'know?

Well this was my first proper on-line race and it really showed. My lap times were at the tail end of things but the main problem was network lag. Most of the cars disappeared during the formation lap, which makes it a little unnerving just waiting to unknowingly knock someone off.

And then on lap 8 turn 5 got the better of my right foot and I stoved it into the wall ripping a wheel off.

The bug has bitten though and I'll be back racing after some more practice behind the wheel.

Thnx folks for yet another fine race and for allowing me to join even though I hadn't turned a lap in Barcelona for at least 3 years before tonight....fun all along.

I only pitted once, I missed seeing Tim announce there was two manditory pit stops. Totally my fault, so no biggie if I get a DQ.

I had an total blast racing with Jim Pejsa for many laps tonight so that made my night, no matter where I end up in the finishing order. Great fun bud! :)

Had a good clean race... Not so much going on on my side, as I pretty much spent the whole race by myself, except for a couple of laps with Ray...and at the beginning when there was a car stopped right after the green flag dropped...Unfortunately my teamm8 Kimmo, found this car on his way to making a good pass on me...He had a better acceleration than me, but his incident damaged his car...Sorry m8 !... :(

Lucky, I saw you mention that you missed a pit stop after the race. For the honesty, no DQ. But I did drop you one lap to be fair to the others. You lost a few positions in the deal, but not as bad as a DQ. Thank you.

Great, close racing with Lucky for many laps. You were a bit faster bud, but not enough to get by and fortunately I had no slips during that stretch. You had me sweating though:) Was a lot of fun.

Don't know what happend, but my force feedback was zero! It was fine during practice and qualy.

The thing felt like a wet noodle, I could barely keep it straight on the straights. Turning was almost impossible. There was no resistance at all. I have my Momo wheel set to a very high resistance, quite a workout in a 2 hour race! 80

Hope I did'nt mess anybody up to bad, I was doing all I could to keep the thing out of the way after plowing into the wall and wrecking my steering. Finally made it back to the pits, but was never the same after that (still no FF either).

This one was real hard to keep going and not quitting, I hate DNF's!!!

Hope Sundays race is more fun than this one was.

sorry to whoever was behind me at start. just before the lights went out i noticed my car rolling forward.I hit the brake to avoid rolling out of my start box and it went green. Anyway I killed it and it took about 5 seconds to refire the car and get going.Couple that with my usual limited setup and I got bored pretty quick.
