What a disappointment :(

I have mixed emotions after that one. On one hand I'm always pleased to finish top 10, but on the other hand I blew a good opportunity to finish on the podium. After a pit strategy that had me pitting a little earlier than most, I evetually found myself in 3rd place and holding steady for several laps. Things were going good and with around 10 minutes or so to go I came upon a lapper who lifted right in front of me at the bottom of the old hairpin and the instant I lifted to avoid hitting him the rearend came out from under me and into the grass I went to complete a giant donut where I lost a handful of positions. I managed to finish clean from there out and can't be too dissapointed with a 7th place. Thats a very fun track though, just had some difficulty working around the lappers. Still it was plenty of fun. Can't wait for next week.

Well, not what I expected... I qualified 20th., but that didn't stop me from making a good start... I jumped to 16th. before T1 and by 2nd. lap I was 12th. until Bryce sent me to "Flight School"...Sorry, but "Top Gun" doesn't take applications at the beginning of the year!. Went back on track on 18th. place and car was a little unstable...Had several spins until I came back to pits...At the pit entrance...My good friend B. Blocker passed his pitstop and had to back up a little bit :)...Samuel K...entered to his pits, but I was already there, sorry m8..there was nothing I could do....
Then a few laps late D. Morissette was going to pass me, I tried to move to the right, but we made or I made the wrong choice :(...I was going to give him the fast lane and he clipped me and went off-track...Sorry, this was not-intentional...

Didn't have a lot of fun, but still enjoyed it...

I really enjoyed the race, though had a number of offs and feel bad about hitting Barry Blocker early in the race. I'm sorry about that, Barry, I lost control into the grass and didn't mean to re-enter like that, I was trying to stop before getting back on.

I spent the end of the race trying to chase down B Erickson (?) and came close but couldn't get around him and then lost ground. Great race, I'm having an awesome time with this series.
I love this mix of class of cars and getting to race with so many people.

Had a good race going, but when I went in to pit, my pit crew disappeared right as I crossed the pit-in line. Maybe I didn't request my crew or something. Oh well, life goes on. After having to go into pit road 3 times, I settled in at 17th and finished 15th (I think) as I watched cars slip and slide off the track the last few laps of the race!

Hey Nathan, no worries man, I didn't lose too many spots. You can owe me one somewhere down the road.

Oh well, I'm still learning this game and I'll figure it out sooner or later. Had fun tho!!

Did not see replay yet but I hope I didn't do any damage to anyone behind me on lap one, car just let loose in "old Hairpin" and couldn't keep it straight!! sorry sorry! Well from starting 12th which is quite ironic because I thought I saw a practice 2 session and went out in my race setup and not my Qual car doh! So now after the spin I sit and watch as everyone passed me by :( But that 's when the fun began I was able to work my way through the field only to be in a good battle for...you guessed it 12th, but by the time I got back there, the soft tyres in the front are shot! I was loosing to much ground and went in, switch over to my original Medium compound which felt much better came back out made it to 10th and had to short shift to conserve on fuel, lucky for me Kent (good win) had crossed the finish line just in time because I would not have made another lap! Guess I should be quite happy with a 11th place finish.

Ya David sorry to hear what happened. You were keepigng the pressure on totally.

I was lucky to get into this race, joined during qual. Got pole with a not so good lap as evidence by my race lap being faster.

Got to the grid and was lazy on the clutch button and the car stalled when I put it in gear (OH NO!) I hit the starter while the lights were in the second stage and all I could think of was "I am going to cause a really big wreck". Well for some reason the lights were really long and just as the throttle responded they went green and I just smoked the tires terribly, but somehow still managed to get a nice jump on David and the rest.

I cruised lap one, not wanting to slide off anywhere and it appeared David did the same since he wasn't up on my bumper. I proceded to pick up the pace and by lap 3 the gap steady at about .800. The big surprise was we already had to lap some cars. Before we knew it it was a lot of cars, but I wasn't complaining because I was getting the better laps with traffic. Eventually pulling out to about 4 seconds.

Late in my stint I came upon some more stubborn drivers and were I had passed them the gap was now down to under 3 seconds. I even cancelled my first stop for 2 laps to get a little more gap.

Made my stop with no issues, took fuel and 4 tires and resumed in 6th. I pushed pretty hard hoping David and Krueger didn't have ideas of 2 tires or worse no tires. After the entire field pitted I had 45 seconds lead, wow, I even asked on Teamspeak because I figured it was lying to me.

The rest of the race was real slow for me, lapping conisitnatly 1-3 seconds slower because I didn't want to suffer a blow up, and with that lead I didn't see any reason to risk anything.

Finally I want to comment on the cars re-entering the track after an off. I saw a LOT of this and had some pretty close calls. So please on a track like this watch your mirrors and listen for other cars before you go barreling back onto the track.

As usual I had some really good racing this time out. I qualified unexpectedly high in 5th, got off to a good start and was careful like the rest of the lead pack for the first lap. Did my best to hold on, but Rick and the rest started to pull away pretty steadily after a few laps.
Enjoyed some really good pressure from Dean right behind me, who was probably faster overall, but not by enough to get a clean pass opportunity. Eventually I'm braking into T4 and did an accidental double-downshift, D'oh! Can't remember the last time I did that, just a twitch of the fingers on the paddle. Did a nice graceful pirouette off the track to the right and recovered quickly into the gap behind Ray, leaving me in 10th.
I was making no progress on Ray when we started catching the backmarkers- Chris & Dennis were in a tight struggle with Ray right behind and all hell broke loose around T2. We all got by the first scare and were all bunched up when we got to the 2nd lapper, and around Ray went under heavy braking avoidance, I think. That left me right on Dennis's tail for a lap or three. I passed Dennis in the chicane- it was more of an avoidance maneuver than a pass attempt, I went inside to keep from rear ending him. Thanks for being aware, Dennis, if you hadn't seen me it would have been a disaster, but we went side-by-side through that chicane where I wouldn't have thought it possible, excellent job, man!
I trailed Chris for most of the rest of the race- thought for a minute I beat him in the pits, but next thing I know there he is pulling out in front of me again, same gap and everything. Couldn't reel him in no matter what I did, but had a great time trying.
Did I mention how many 6th place finishes I've had recently? I was ecstatic when a spin up front got me up to 5th (on a real unfortunate event, I gather), but the grin on my face didn't last long when I saw Sam's yellow Ferrari in my mirror. Back to 6th I go... and I'll take it. Good race all, congrats to the podium!

Wow, really good race. The start was great with such a big field. I was right in the middle too after a crappy qually. It was so laggy that I lost it on my second lap and just escaped!

Had about 4 close calls with cars spinning right in front of me, but luckily I picked the right side to go at each one. Not sure who they were because I had the HUD off for most of the time.

After all the pit-stops, I somehow lost completely where I was and had no idea who was ahead/behind me! I hate the way the view goes external on the stop. You can't see who goes by while you're waiting.

Just kept lapping as fast as possible though, and my 5th turned into 3rd. Hehe. Didn't even have to pass anyone. Still, was great fun and I did not have any trouble passing any lapped cars today. Great job guys. Looking forward to the next. :-)

Well, crap... I was running P11 with 8 minutes left in the race when my engine started cutting out and I noticed smoke filling my rearview mirror. Not a good sign. Soon after, I was on the side of the track sitting in my smoldering Ferrari and shaking my head. Guess I was banging down through the gears a little too hard for the engine to take.

Other than the premature finish, I was having a good race and drove consistently. Had a good start and was running P11 for most of the race. Thought I was headed for a good finish for the first race of the series, but it just wasn't meant to be. :( Oh well, on to the next race!
