nGTX Magny-Cours

Not very happy with this dreadful result. PM's are on the way. I did expect to get through T1 with this group of drivers and was disappointed to get taken out. Racing sucks sometimes.

I dont know what happened !
I was first until i pitted, than ai took over my car and over shot the pit spot :o
Than when it backed up and finally pitted, despite me turning my engine off, crew chief was telling me to turn my engine off and repeated so for about 20 sec.
When i finally crawled out of the damn pit, i came back 7th.
I really dont know what was that 100 sec pit stop all about, but it's like i'm jinxed or something :(

I had a satisfying and clean race. Got a good jump on the start- somebody may have had their rev limiter on, or else thought we'd have a warmup lap? Sometimes I'm caught off guard by that and park behind the slower car, but there was a clear lane to the left this time and I took it. Got into T1 clean and careful, saw a couple of cars go off, and by the time the dust settled I was in 7th or 8th after qualifying 14th. I slotted in behind John Mueller and followed him for just about the entire 1st stint. I spent a lot of time 1 car length behind, just waiting for a mistake, but it never came- nice job, John. Even went into the pits right behind him, but he either took less fuel or less tires, and I never saw him again. Came out behind Dennis and proceeded to follow *him* for almost the entire 2nd stint. I suspect Dennis got ahead of me by not taking 4 tires like I did, and it began to show late in the race. I finally got by after Dennis skated around a bit, then flubbed a pass while lapping Pedro (not his fault that time, but each time I lapped him it was an adventure), and Dennis took his spot back. About then Sam closed up behind me with someone right on his tail- I let him follow for a lap, then went wide at the hairpin to let him through. I figured whoever was tailing him was in 2nd and laid off the gas so he could get by too, but boy did I feel stupid when it turned out to be Scott N taking my spot for 9th. Turns out he was a fair piece faster than me anyway, and by the time they both got by Dennis I was right back on his bumper. Dennis finally lit up the rears, saved it, but it cost him enough that I squeaked by, with only 2 laps to go. Sam must have had a scare up ahead because I caught up to him shortly after that, then paced him to the finish.
Congrats podium! Keep banking those points Rick! Nice job Ray picking up 11 spots for 6th! See you all next week for the season finale!

Overall, my race started very well. I had great practice times, and I practiced a lot. Was usually doing high 139's on my hot laps and was able to stay in the high 140's consistantly. This is my favorite track for sure!

I qualied in the teens, but turn 1 incident left me in 8th or 9th on the first lap. I knew I could have qualied in 6th or 7th anyways since I was fast tonight, but qualied mistakenly with a full fuel load and the track was super crowded which made for a real bad combination for me. Could not get back in to make the change before qualifying ended because I noticed it so late. Had a spin or two during the race, and saw a lot of accidents. Lost position trying to safely get aroun Pedro once, but he was being cautious of me...I was impressed by that. Guess he was having a little trouble though he was doing his best to stay out of the way.

Overall raced a clean, decent race, not trying to be too fast or win it, but trying to be consistant and clean. COuld have done better, and not happy to wreck - it's another DNF! But I am getting back into the racing spirit of things and having a great time.

Was battling with another driver trying to take position and had to let him by or we would have wrecked early for sure. Just a little over anxious I guess.. Got past him again, but had an off and got back in the pack to about 14th. Re-worked my way back up to 11th position with enough time to get a top 10 finish, which I was certain was in the cards, but slid wide exiting the chicayne and hit that damn wall. Tires flying, engine dead, left standing in the middle of the front stretch with only about 10 minutes left. Darn it!!! Was actually in the top 10 for quite a while tonight.

Look out fellas... I'll be up in the top 10 on a regular basis soon...I'm certain of it.

My quick late night post - Ray sorry for the small incident going under you in the turn, I got there so quickly thought you would had seen me, real sorry. Then me like a fool, I wait for you but instead you and Don had the same cars, so you go by and I'm waiting for Don to catch up. He does , I let him by ...doh it wasn't even the guy I hit :(

Quick congrats to the podium guys.

Another bad race for me. I made a good start but i got hit on the first corner. After that my aero was damaged and i couldnt get into speed. I was coming from the back and i was trying to past slower cars. I was pushing hard but i made some mistakes and unfortunetly i kicked one of Ferrari i dont know who was that but i am sorry and apologise for that. Then i decide to pit early and that was good decision the car was great and i made some good lap times i was cutching people. I climb up to six place and then realise that i have no enough fuel to finish the race which was a shame and that was it complete disaster but hope next time will be better congr Samuel!!!

I had a cracking race going. Wow. Had some great racing there fellas.

Despite the hugely overwhelming competition, I had even managed to claw my way up to 5th with some brilliant stategy that paid off perfectly.

Yup. Things were looking good for a top 5 finish. Plenty of fuel, good tires, no traffic. Hehe. Only 10 mins to go too. But then I had the misfortune of being near someone I should have stayed the hell away from. And promptly got shown the back end of the next gravel pit.

Bummer. Went from 5th to 11th and erased all my hard earned positions just like that. Sometimes it's more important to watch who's behind instead of in front I guess.

Got back on track and finished up the last couple of laps. But really wasn't caring anymore though. Oh well. Next race will be better! :)

after running near the back all nite, 3 min from finish, i have a back spasm as i come onto the front straight and slam the wall corner right out of the last turn. broken car, not going anywhere.

i had fun tonite, but was never able to run very well. oh well, someone has to guard the rear :)

After a mistake in the final chicane, I got bumped by Richard and went soaring over the wall on the front straight.

What's up with the physics in this game?!? We barely made contact, but I got launched!! It took me a minute to figure out where I was but I eventually made it out onto the track.

Needless to say, my car's handling was a little bit skewed by that point. I just tried to make it home in one piece without any more issues.

Ryan and Richard, what do you have your connection speed set at in multiplayer? The lower the connection speed setting in GTR2, the worse the collision response will be. Everybody should be at the highest or 2nd highest rate (I forget exactly what they're labelled). Dunno if that's what bit you or just a freak glitch, but it's worth checking out.
