I hate accidentally punching ESC in the pits instead of ENTER. Oh well, glad I got to run the first half and hopefully I didn't foul up any of the fast guys.

Unlucky race (but fun).

1. I accidently chose the Modena instead of the GTC.

2. I pitted in at the same time as the guy I was running behind in 14th, only to discover we shared the same pit stall. With GTR 2's auto-drive pit thing, I couldn't pull back out onto the track. :P

3. Ray Nelson and I had an intimate liason near the end of the race when our two cars kissed nose to nose. :P

I had a blast, except for the first lap when I conducted a massive punting exercise accidentally to I think Barry Kennedy. That was 100% my error, I am glad I did not end your race, but am still sorry for it.

Cant believ how stupid i am.
Like in the GTX today i get pole and messed up my race at the pit stop. Starting with too much fuel onboard, coming on P1 in the pit and doing all but not the right thing, took not enough fuel, changed tires (it was not necessary lol)then out and pushing till last lap, but instead to go on P3 till finish i went into pitlane (yeah, it was not necessary lol).

Congratulations to Rick for his win and the championship. Way to go!

I liked to thank Tim as well for his efforts in this series. I has been fun for the events I attended.

As for this race, there are some more folks that I would like to thank. To all those who turned my great start into a mess by ass-ending me (twice on consecutive turns) and finally to the one who punted me into the wall. Thank you.

I still enjoyed myself. Ran dead last for awhile and pushed to try and catch someone. Wound up 15th. Not what I was hoping for.

Either the field was really quick tonight, or I wasn't :P I only qualified 14th I think, but boy was there some mayhem in the first few corners. There were Porsches everywhere in the first chicane, and more of 'em in the 2nd. I got through it all unscathed and found myself in 8th- holy cow! Settled into my usual rhythm behind Dennis- the Ferrari was pulling away from me on the straights, but I could gain a bit back in the corners. I was pacing him pretty well for several laps before cooking it a little out of the 1st chicane and letting him get away. Lost a couple of spots to faster drivers recovering from early spins, and fell as far as 10th or 11th before the pit cycle. Successfully convinced my crew not to change my tires, and got out with a nice short stop to get myself back into 8th. Stayed there the entire 2nd stint... almost. Goran was catching me up, but I had a solid buffer and was managing it well with plenty of time for the remaining laps. On the last lap I had like 4 secs gap, and took it too careful in some of the turns, let it get short, wandered off line in parabolica and went into the sand like a complete fool, giving up 8th to Goran just before the line. Oh well, made no difference in my championship standing in the end :P I'm quite happy to be in the top 10 with some of the fierce competition I've seen this season.

Wel that was a good race for me until my drive thru penalty anyways. Was holding fourth position for quite a while. Had a great battle with Tom Christian to keep the position, lost it once and then regained it again. My car was holding the ground well, so I stayed outuntil the last moment. I had 1 gallon of fuel left so I pitted, but didnt slow down quick enough. Went into pit in P2 and came out in P6 I think. Was hoping to get back to P4 after my drive thru, but only had 15 minutes left and came out of pits in P12! mY FIRST MISTAKE WAS TAKING A LITTLE TOO MUCH FUEL AND TIRES IN MY FIRST PIT STOP.I only wanted fronts, but got too rushed and got all fours. That was a 45 sec pit stop. Then the damn drive thru. Had my best race of the season going, and could have possibly ended up with a podium if there was a mistake ahead of me anyways. But no such luck.

But was happy with the race overall. Did o.k. thanks to some mid season advice from some of the other guys. Congrats rick. Good job podiums.

Holy cow. Puntfest!
I've had a good season here with you lot, not sure why it all fell apart tonite. I was knocked off the track FIVE friggin times. Jeez. Did everyone lose their heads?

The first was the worst though. Just made a great pass before second chicane and the guy side-swipes me! Son-of -a-. Sent me careening through the grass and across the track, right into the side of Goran. Goddamnit! Sorry Goran, but I was just passenger at that instant. I wasn't the only one he hit either. Garrett got rear-ended as well. And, I think he thought it was me because after we got going again, I swear he turned into me on purpose! LOL. (no hard feeling mate, I'm sure you'll watch replay) Luckily I got out of the way. But it wasn't me I tell ya! :)

If that wasn't bad enough.....the bloody game gave me a stop/go for it too! Apperently it was under the impression that my off was a cut. Nice. I don't see rain, but it pouring! And we haven't even made ONE lap yet! LOL.

This puts me at the back of the field and a good 30 secs behind. Even nicer! LOL. Oh well, let's see how well I can recover. Made some good progress as the race went on, advancing from 24th to about 14th, but the back-markers had it in for me tonite. On three more instances, I got beside to pass, and was turned into and knocked right off the track.

Bloody hell, I was very tempted to just hit esc and call it. Several times mind you! But stuck it out anyway. Quitting is not in my blood. I only hope that that should take care of the target on my car for a while. Please.

All in all it was a good series with the exception of this one. Thanks for a good season guys. Was loads of fun. And Grats on the championship Rick. Well deserved!

Even the smallest contact in GTR2 will often lead to flying cars. After a lousy start where i lost few spots, came the 2nd shicane where i lost all the spots available in the race. There was nothing Dean could do when his car went out of control and slammed into me. It was an accident and no hard feelings from my side.

Trying really hard to make up at least some that was lost, i had some great racing. Racing in heavy traffic was so great that it made me forget all about my rotten luck from the first lap. Guess something bad turned into something good.

My apology to Barry Kennedy who i punted off the track for few sec. I swear it was lag. There were cars right behind us and those few seconds were enough for him to loose two spots. Sorry Barry :(

I wish I had more positive to say than just "I didn't hit anyone, punt anyone or cause any accidents". That can't be said about a certain other driver whom punted me twice, and watching the replay of his entire race I must say he wasn't entirely in control of his car. He also punted at least one other driver, cut corners, and even flew straight thru the cones at the end of the front straight. I'm considering filing a formal complaint on this one, but then again, it is the last race of the series. I'm just gonna keep an eye on that driver in future races and give him plenty of room.

First time was the other driver losing control of his car before entering a corner, spun around and hit me, throwing my car into the air doing a 360 airborn, landing in the gravel, with him just speeding away (btw, that's NOT me in the screenshot). That forced me to pit way early, lap 4 I think). The second time was late in the race, I took a corner a bit wide on by-now well used tires, he was behind me, came cruising up in a hurry, went off directly behind me, slammed into my car sending me into the wall on the opposite side of the track, breaking my front-end pretty badly. I had to struggle around the last couple laps, then pitted just to get the car drivable, just so I could finish the race.

Other than that sad commentary, congrats to the winners. And Way to Go the those of us who drove a clean race.
