after all the server crap in qual, i get a stop and go for rolling waiting on the start. pull in to serve it, boom, disconnected.

good thing my door was shut, i spent a lot of time getting ready for the only gtr race this week... i am soooooo very unhappy. wah wah wah, sucks to be me :)
oh well, hopefully the next one is better. hope you guys had a good race without me :)

Having a great race with Barry & Rory, then f***ing disco'd again. I'm right pi$$ed off!

I got black flag at start when formation lap started for reason unknown and had to stop'n go.

GTR2 decided that my username was suddenly invalid?
Well registered my us again but it was to late to join the race.

To prevent a 'no show' at the race I unregistered just for the race when the problems happened.

I am certainly not happy with this. Second time I mis a race and this time due to technical problems :( Hope you guys had a fun race

Did a testrace with the new prototypes mod V2.0 on a public server instead. Well that was fun and a reasonable fair race. Not as fair as a race2play race though :)

During practice I told Conor that I'd have no chance with my BMW against him in a Porsche, and I guess he felt the same since he changed to a Beamer as well - and what a race it turned out to be.

For many laps I had to follow Tom and Conor. That ended when Tom spun(?). For the rest of the stint I was tailing Conor but I had no chance to pass except by possibly divebombing and I didn't want to try something like that. I pitted one lap later after doing a really fast in lap, and came out 5-6 secs ahead. The gap stayed around there until I had a big slide when I lifted in the wrong place while letting an M3 past. From there the gap was 0.5-2 seconds till the end as I had to save fuel a little (I had 1.2 liters at the end). However I could hold on to the lead as passing seemed to be just as difficult for him.

Remind me to never follow my instincts again. Because of the high temps, my instincts told me to start the race on hard rear tires. Big mistake!!! The car was oversteering terribly. Went back to medium-medium at the first pit stop and all was well again. I actually got less wear on the medium rears than I did on the hard rears. Live and learn.

Good race all in all, but I am extremely unhappy with another lousy pit stop costing me a win. I really need to get this figured out for next season as it has screwed me four times this season in close races....3 times in GTC and now once in GT-O :(.

Basically what Ari said, I switched to BMW after seeing that I would be 2 seconds faster than everyone else (including him) if I went Porsche. I had nothing to lose, already locked up the championship two events before so what the hell.

Fortunately it turned out to be a hell of a race :). Every single lap during the first half of the race included me, Ari, and Tom, all bunched up together and battling for the lead. Then came the pit stops and I really screwed the pooch this time. First off, I forgot to notify the team I was coming in so when I entered the pits, they were not ready. It also took me a while to select what I want since I had to change my fuel strategy a bit. From the time I stopped the car to the time they finally started fueling the car, it was already 15 secs....all wasted :(. The final time was 67 seconds. When I came around, Ari made his stop and he was 7 seconds in front of me and I came in when I was leading :(. Not happy about that...

Nevertheless, I still caught up to Ari by the middle of the final stint. The traffic really helped me out at times and thought that would be an important weapon but since the field was so small, we saw none for the final laps. I did manage to get up to his bumper but there was no way for me to get around him besides divebombing. Its not like this track doesn't have passing zones, but the BMWs have no power so you really can't get close enough to someone to pull off a clean pass. Finally, in the last few laps, I was worn out and backed off a bit to save my sanity.

2nd is fine, but not really the way I wanted to end the season with a costly mistake that I committed. Racing-wise, it was great! Grats to Ari/Rory for the win and Dean for the championship!

Close racing all the way to the end with barry was lots of fun, and Pete early on until his disco.
Although i couldn't get to close to Pete because his ping was all over the place, then just before his disco i hit his frozen car and got some damage.
