Fun-run: Formula BMW

can we have more races in these cars please. i had a blast holding on in fourth place for a while until i saw my fuel gage go down way fast. i had a good battle with mr Zargani but couldt keep up. cant wait until next time in laguna see ya

Qualified poorly, did not realize it was five minutes!
The race got off to a good start but i got a little gun shy in t1 (three wide) and let a couple of cars through.
Had a great race with Martin, and until 5 laps from the end it was one of my better races. I was a bit worried for fuel, i started slowing down to conserve but then....
I made a poor exit out of Paddock and George and I collided. It was a racing incident but I felt terrible anyway-- hobbled back to the pits, spent about 3 minutes, stalled, even my silly sisters were laughing in the grandstands, did my fastest lap on the last lap and came 13th avoiding DNF at least.
Great race, great bunch of people. I'll try to these FBMW in between F179s. Thanks all and see you soon. Martin, great racing. George, at the next race we will race side by side to the checquered flag-- I will get my team to install bigger mirrors :) Cheers

Woohoo!! My best race so far on R2P! My qualifying stunk and I started 12th, and then muffed the start. Then someone spun in front of me in Turn 1 on lap 2, and I spun avoiding him, so I wound up dead last.

Worked my way back through the field. Had a great dice for several laps with Tim McArthur (who'd lost his front wing; that's why I could stay with him) and got right alongside him several times. But then he figured out how to deal with his missing wing and eventually began to pull away.

But I passed a couple other people and several people either crashed or ran out of gas, so I wound up 4th!!! Fantastic!

This cars are a real blast! You can really push them hard, which makes driving them a lot of fun. I hope we have more races with them!

First I must apologize to Alison. It was I who caused you to spin in the first turn. I was excited just to be in a race with Alison Hine and I ended up fouling up your race. Very sorry. :(

My out-of-control entry into that corner was the karma for committing the cardinal sin, a last-second setup change. I spent the whole race trying to get a grip on the surprisingly big change in handling.

It wasn't a good race for me, but I still enjoy these cars very much. To me, probably the best car in rFactor. I sure hope we get a regular series for them. And I hope to have some better Eagle Woman memories. Again, sorry Alison.

What kinda dum-dum runs out of gas while in second place, withing spitting distance of the finish line?

This kinda dum-dum.

I had such a big gap on third thru fifth that I could have jumped out, pee'd in the gas tank, and jumped back in. However, these nomex suits and my modesty prevent such actions ;-)

This happened to me once before, different cars, same track. Fool me once Brands, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me...

Fun to drive these cars. Didn't know the track until the day before the race so I was quite happy with 3rd in quali. Also knew it would be tough to bring the car home without any troubles on the way. And unfortunately they did happen. Had a good fight with Juan and the encounter with Fransesco needed me to pit a do some repairs. But no problem with that. Those things happen. Looking forward to more Formula BMW cos I find them much more pleasant to drive than F3.
