USA FT: Nuerburg

I should have stayed on the porch with my tail tucked between my legs. My Eagle teammate kicked butt though. Smokin` it Tristan, good job. I didn`t sign up as an Eagle on purpose, it`s my way of helping the team.

All credit for this win goes to Mr. Greg Pritchard, who lent me his setup last night. With my own direction, I was at 1:36.5xx. However, within four laps of trying Greg's, I had an entire second further knocked off. As Greg told me when he had a look at my personal setup, most things were the same except for shocks... which, I suppose, were radically different.

Regardless, his setup gave me consistent laps at optimal tire temperature.

Nice race, nice result! Had fun trying to catch Jarrod, but to no avail, he was quicker and made fewer mistakes. Happy with 4th!

For my first open wheel race it was good. Wish is was longer, as I was just getting into rhythm. Steve Parsons made a good pass on the last lap, setup perfect. He didn't dive underneath from 100 feet back. I need more practice, as your line is a premium for the upkeep of momentum.

Re-joining the track after an off-track excursion
No driver may rejoin the track until all traffic has passed and your car is facing the exact racing direction. Any accidents caused by a driver using the racing surface as a place to make a U-turn is strongly frowned upon.

i was really freak after my engine go down... i dont now the reason still wai?...and it's really interesting cause i had some test on this track for few days with full oil and a have made lot's of fastes lap and my engine was still ok without any problem...but what really hapen's on the track it's just mistery...

but it was really interesting thet tristan had more faster lap then us other...can anyone explane what he was doing to his car :)....

Tommy, thanks for the setup. I can't tell you what a difference it made. Well, could have made, at least.

I had a fun race, at least for a couple laps. Spun into a wall, then hit those tires at the chicane.(see pitcture)

Funny thing, I didn't know I had lost my wings!!! I was running the same lap times without them with Tommy's setup as I was with wings with mine!! Wow, I need a mechanic.

I enjoy watching the replay right after a race, and Tim's above quote applies to a couple of incidents of contact I saw.

Very good race, and big thanks go out to Tommy C for passing along his setup at the last minute. I had no practice with these cars at all, and with the uphill fast chicane it took some getting use to going into that at speed.
Start was ok, thought I would be cautious because of the over aggressiveness that usually takes place in T1, made it through cleanly and then tried to keep Tommy G in my sights. It worked for the first 4 -5 laps then I decided to drive my race and concentrate on the track. I had a situation going into the chicane at Bit-Kurve not sure who with, but he pulled up on me side-by-side in the middle of the chicane and we exchanged some rubbin, not sure about him but riding on the inside rumble strip cause my car to be erratic and tough to handle hope he didn't loose it. I had some close laps with a few different drivers which made it exciting.
Happy with my 8th place finish and cheers to my new teammate Jarrod for his 3rd and 2 IDT racers in the top 10.

Amir, you need to know that Tristan is from the planet Zorgon where the sky is burgundy, and he is pure evil :)
That goes a long way to explaining the unexplainable.

As for me, first time sitting in the sim cockpit in 5 days, and had to recalibrate after sitting in a real one. Very Strange. I think the fish eye effect of the game's FOV made my brain freak out for a bit until I got used to it again. That and the lack of motion, your eyes register motion but your body does not.

Bit of a lonely race as TB took off and I gapped Jarrod a little bit. But these cars are still fun.

Congrats to Tristan and Jarrod, plus only 2 DNF's and a seemingly clean T1 L1. That's always good.

Qual'd 7th, and got a good start to come out of T1 in fifth. Had a fun time trying to hold Greg Pritchard off as we both raced for a top five finish. Greg was clearly quicker than me, but he had the patience and maturity to wait and try for a clean pass, even going so far as to back out and give me time to recover when we had contact going into T1 on one lap when he had a run down the front straight and had established the right to the inside line. Very classy driving by Greg...thanks for that!

Unfortunately our race was cut short a few laps later when I was hit by a car that had spun on course and decided to continue, rather than observe the R2P rule of stopping after an on-course spin and waiting until all traffic had passed. Traffic, in this case, was me, Greg, and Tommy Gunn coming through the tight right-hander that leads onto the back part of the course. Fortunately, nobody DNF'd as a result of this incident, but it did spoil what had been a very enjoyable race I had been having with Greg.
