It was fun while it lasted, it is very easy to crash

A strong qualy and good start miffed by two wheels off in a braking zone.

Had I properly set up my brake cooling, I think the trusty 'ol Renault was good for a top 5 today...

Oh well. I'll prepare better next time.

Gutted here to be honest.

Battling well early on then took front wing off dropping me to around 10th place.

Had a massive middle sector on fuel as I went for filling up there to keep a two stopper, and relentlessly made my way up the field, to the point where on my second stop on lap 52 I was running 3rd.

Decided to increase boost to 5 to chase JB down, having run with 4 boost the entire race, and within half a lap the engine blew.

Really think I could have got him, and as I write he says he has just taken the lead, so bugger!!!!!!!

Really good fun once you get into the swing, shame I could not convert tonight.

I was leading the race by a lap when we experienced a 5 second power outage here on lap 60!!! That is the worst luck I have ever had. Where did I finsh? 11th? F'ing PGE!!! I'm gonna buy a freaking UPS! LMAO

I didn't get to start. My FFB reversed direction when race session began, so I couldn't hold a straight line. Dissapointing, but better than getting a DNF latter on.

Man that was aweful, I did 2 stints this week to ensure brakes/engine would go the distance on my set up. Lap 1 I dropped to 1st gear coming out of T2 spinning the car and taking my nose off. After pitting and fixing was running nicely and soon got to 8th, which I would gladly settle for. On lap 45 my front brakes blew and I almost hit escape but after 2 or 3 laps found I was doing 1:27's and could still maybe get a point or 2. Little did I know that everyone would start dropping like flies and with 10 laps to go I forund myself in 4th 7 secs behind Todd. I figured Todds brakes had gone too as he was lapping about same as me, but by now I was used to how the car handled and was catching him nicely. I cant believe I finished 3rd. We gotta find a better F1 mod than this, its bloody rediculous to see so many guys work hard only to have the car self destruct.

Yet only 12 finished the real race....

Agree that only four by the looks of it actually doing the distance would seem to make it a bit of a lottery.

I felt good about this race. The start went off well. It was really awesome to be watching the real qualifying, then the start of the real race and drop into my chair and onto the same track. rFactor is so totally immersive that when I watch the real race I can almost feel the tension when they are close together.

But, being relatively new to online racing and especially rFactor Parce Ferme I damaged my front wing and went in for repair along with my 1st fuel stop. But, somehow the pit speed limiter got turned off. It must have been when I couldn't change my rear wing and maybe pressed too many buttons...didn't pay attention to the fact that the rear wing can't be changed. So, I got a stopngo for speeding. Well, I went and damaged my wing again, but when I came in it didn't fix my wing...I'm a dummy and should have known it would consider my next stop to be my stopngo, but I went out thinking it was fixed and was only focused on making sure my pit speed limiter was on...I wound up over-revving my engine and blowing it.

As for the brake and other failures I think it's important to point out that the rFactor damage multipliers just don't do proper estimates...in fact I don't think any of the rFactor estimates are worth using. Thus, the only way I've seen to ensure proper damage control is to drive practice races for the full laps...yep a full 70 laps and make [substitute preferred swear word] sure the car can go the distance. Even when everything is working right it just takes one mistaken downshift when you wanted to upshift and your engine will be toast.

But, I'm definitely up for more F1 racing!

This was my first F1 race and really didn't know what to expect. I was not sure of the rules so when I qualified I put in enough fuel for a 10 min. quali. So on the formation lap I got the "low fuel" sign and had to start my race from pit row. That turned out to be a good thing and kept me out of the first lap carnage that took place. As it turned out all I had to do was drive around all the wreckage. My goal for this race was just to finish and fortunately I did just that. What I did not expect was to have complete and total brake failure on lap 46! During a pit stop I missed my pit location and coasted right out of pit lane! Not really but damn close.

I did like the race enough to sing up for the next one.....

Well qual went quite well but span it on my second qual lap so was gutted to only lose pole by .0001 :)

The start delay was so long my temp gauges were on and engine blowing smoke for about 20 secs cant beleive it lasted.

Race was ok for me, was taking it easy to try and save engine and brakes, although put it into wall about lap 20, lost front wing and had damage to nosecone still and both wheels, but I just backed right off and coasted around, couldnt believe it when people kept dropping like flies, and I inherited the lead, but it makes a nice change for me to win one like that, but bad luck Aubrey you were the classs of the field for sure
