USA GT: Dubai

What a race!!! Was fast through practice, lacking consistency, then for the race i decided to run one more click on the wing setting, and that did the job. i was very consistent and was runningon 3rd, having a great battle with Chriss and Dennis! They were pushing 100% and i was too!!! Got em in the pit stop strategy, but an error on the 3rd sector sent me spinning and lost control, and to finish it off Dennis hit me too. Sorry dennis, i hope i didnt cause you too much damage. chasing down these guys wasnt an easy task, im sweating my arse off still!!! Awesome behaviour from Tommy gunn who kept his cool while having his race when lapped, he didnt give an inch unless it was the exact time to be passed. Great job mah man!!!

WOOHOO!!!

Didn't have any practice in the Lambo on this track and didn't have a setup either. Took the one from Anderstorp and tweaked it a bit. Think I qualied in 9th or so. After the start Tommy got by and I was stuck behind him for a lot of laps. Tried twice to overtake him but he kept is cool. Then finally I saw my chance on the inside entering the chicanes. I have to look at the replay to see if the move was ok. I hope it was Tommy. Then I started to close in on Dennis and Bobby who were together for almost the whole race I believe. Positions didn't change after the pitsstop so at the end of the race we were very close together on 3rd till 5th. Don't know exactly what happend but both Dennis and Bobby got into trouble at the chicanes and all of a sudden I was running in 3rd. Kent lapped me which was fine. Would mean one less lap to do. But then I made the stupid mistake to slow down too to wait for Kent to cross the finish. Result ... Scott flew by to get 3rd. Feel very very stupid now. :-( But it was a great race. Cya next time.

Just call me the vulture!

Went with a long first stint which left me with a heavy car at the start of the race. So naturally, I decided to go into the long left-hander on the first lap with way too much steam. That left me investigating that fancy tarmac run-off area for which Dubai is famous.

I was dead last half way through one lap as I had to wait for the entire pack to drive by before rejoining. Oh well, nobody to blame but my own forgetful self.

Working my way back through the field was interesting, especially with the heavily fuel laden car, but I couldn't advance further once I got to seventh place. I just couldn't gain on George and those ahead of him. At that point, I couldn't do anything but settle in and hope my pit strategy worked.

Luckily, my second stint justified my decision, as my lap times were much quicker. I was rapidlyly able to gain on the cars ahead of me as they were struggling on worn tires. That bumped me up to fifth place.

Then as I closed in on Dennis, who was clearly fighting some beat tires, he started to get some heavy power oversteer coming out of the sixth corner. I had nowhere to go, and could only hope that, for both our sakes, Dennis could save the slide. He did, kinda, but I nudged him as I was trying to avoid him and flipped Dennis on his lid. That left me fourth, but it appears that was the beginning of the end for Dennis. Wish I could have avoided it, but there was really no place for me to go. Sorry, Dennis.

Only a few laps were left at that point, and I thought I would just cruise for fourth when I notice that my vulture strategy might give me a chance to catch George as well. I was able to close the gap to 2 seconds or so on what I thought would be the last lap. George apparently did to.

Lo and behold coming out of the last corner, Kent stopped in front of the start/finish line waiting for the clock to run out. George stopped too. Why? The confusion got me to slow as well, but then I thought, get across the line, then ask questions. Turns out, I crossed the line and there was one more lap to go. George chased, but one lap wouldn't be enough for him to catch me.

That left a short one lap sprint to a vultured podium.

My Eagle teammates should just slap the shit out of me when I enter races I have no business in. Oh, wait, that`s about 90% of `em.Maybe I should lay low and not sign up as an Eagle member so they can bring the team stats up.
There was one guy I could race with but he went out very early leaving me alone on track so I started fucking around trying to drift every corner for awhile until the field came around. I then pulled over to let everyone pass. My final strategy was to achieve as much speed as possible and drive head-on into the barrier.I wish it would have exploded on impact,I think my video cards could handle that.

Andy, you represent the EAGLES just fine. You enter all the races you want. There is more to this than winning and being faster than others. We will keep doing this, and hopefully, will get better.

Beefus, you gotta tell me the pit straegy you used. After I got by you, I ran third for most of the first half, and pitted just once at just over halfway, and came out in 8th. You caught me near the end there and your car seemed quicker than it did in the first stint. The pit stops are keeping me from scoring higher at allmost every race.
