Euro GT: Magny-Cours

Oh my God!

DNF because of a f***ing button! It all started because of the shifter. I didnt put the cable in properly and than I plugged it back in just 40 seconds left to race. I've gone to Controls menu to see if it works and somehow I hit the DOWNSHIFTING button while confuguring it for pit request insted on the darn shifter...

Is this not going to be counted because I failed in 1st turn?

Anyway, don't even remind me I had the pole too...

Worst race possible!

I guess this is just destiny... because I took the darn Ferrari??
I feel like some evil forces are around me lol...

Well thats Ferrari for you...crap!

Hard race.. viper felt awful as i hadnt setup it up right. Had to make do tho and ended up having a nice race with George and Johan. The pitstops kinda broke us up, but around 10 laps from the end we all found each other again.

Tolga was on another planet, great drive from him.

Well, that was very different -- I qualified 3rd. Talk about being out of your element!

Haven't had much time to test the GTs since the American division race at Imola, so i went back to a car i knew and a setup that i haven't used since joining R2P. Got an hour or so of practice in earlier in the morning and it felt more balanced and stable than what i'd been using, so i went with it.

Of course, my lack of experience in such rarefied atmosphere was obvious in the first race lap. I really hate the "driving with blinders" effect of hearing cars on your side but not seeing them, and i made some very silly mistakes just trying not to be too wide. Settled down after that, but i'd already gave up a bunch of positions i wouldn't be able to recapture.

Guess i'll revisit some of my older setups and see what they have to offer now that i've become a lot more consistent in my driving thanks to R2P.

Congrats to Tolga, of course, and to Mark and George.

My quali wasn't good, but I had a nice race allthough I still don't like this track a lot. Had a good race with Mark and Johan and like Mark said, we lost eachother at the pitstops and found eachother again at the end of the race. That gave some excitement and I managed to overtake Johan for 3rd. Immediately watched the replay after we finished cos Johan left right away and I thought he might be pissed at me for the overtaking. We touched and I saw him go off in my rearview. But the replay showed the overtaking was oke. Johan just knicked my left rear bumper with his right front. After that there was very little time to catch Mark too and I nearly lost the car coming on to the s/f straight. And yes ... the Lambo's could do this on one stop ... but I had 0,3L left in the tank when I crossed the finish. Grats to Tolga for an untouchable win and Mark for getting a great 2nd in a tough car.

Man that was fun, I'd done some practise in the Lambo but my calculation showed fuel to be so marginal that there was a very strong chance an extra stop would be needed, hence the swith to a lister. Race was uneventful, I could keep up with George but I would make a stupid little error every now and then and he would get another second or 2 ahead. One of the lambos pitted early and I thought that confirmed my suspicion of a 2 stopper for all of them, But it wasnt to be. I did pass Johan on the last lap as a result of the time he lost with Georges incident but that was about the only excitement for the race. Congrats to Tolga, hit squad dispatched to brake your ankles, someones gotta slow you down. And bigger congrats to Mark, anyone who can get that bloody Viper to perform is alright in my book.

Will be looking at my trusty Lambos fuel calc more seriously in future as I was quite a bit faster in it.
