Euro GT: Zhuhai

So unfair... Lap 3 or so I found myself airborne for absolutely no reason on the straight line. I thought initially that someone lagged and i hit the ghost of his car.

I was very confident with a setup that could consistenly run at 1.29 all the way to the end, but it didn't happen. Oh well, next time.

First of all ... sorry to the frontrunners for my late braking into T1. Some cars exchanged some paint but luckily no real harm was done. Knew in front it wouldn't be possible to run this race flat out which is a pity. The Lambo uses so much fuel that I had to save fuel practically the whole race. But it was the only way to do a one-stopper and it brought me 5th in the end. First part of the race was nice with James and Heinz close in front but I had to let them go after a small off. After my stop I tried to keep a good margin to Mark Mc and that worked fine. But I would have liked to go flat out ... Grats to the guys who made it to the podium.

Wow ... I drove a saleen to a 60 lap finish without an engine blowout .. quite astonishing really!!

Once i got passed Mark mclean and geoge Pol fighting each other in the beginning of the race, it was just a race against Lucian Cimpean until his engine blew on lap 29 .. unlucky dude..

Second stint was alone and just had to keep it on the road..a very welcome 4th!!

Great,all that work to get to 6th from 19th and get bumped off track.Had a great feeling car with mediums and decided not to take tyres at the stop.

internet connection problem. after i went offline i looked out the window and there was a big storm. that probably had something to do with my line. i hope it didn't affect anyone.

Very good race for me until the moment I blew the engine, because of a stupid mistake, and not everheating.

I made some mistakes at the start and in the first lap and lost a couple of positions and then I made a drive trough after (stupid me :)) what looked like a very unclear punt to George Pol in T1, sorry dude if that was the case.
At that moment and even after watching the replay, I got the impression that we didn't touch and you just went too deep on brakes and spun.
But with the weird GTR2 netcode one can never be sure.

Anyway, that was the recipe for a great fightback from the middle of the pack, a very good race for me, until the engine failure, just before doing the pitstop. So a short 45 min race for me :)

Holy shit!

Took Pole and thought this would be my race, but nope.

After lap 3 I suddenly had not full braking power. On my PD i saw my maximum pedal-way was about 80% although I pressed it to the metal:-(

Rescued my race with early downshifting the gears in turns.

Man, I love my Logitech DFP, cant imagine to replace it with something else :-[

Well I had trouble just keeping up with Roman and Milan at the start but I was pulling away from 4th and quite happy. Then Milan passed Roman and I came up behind him. He seemed to be having a bad spell and I got past when he got a little bit loose. Milan was 2 or 3 seconds ahead and Roman the same behind until the pit stops. I pitted a couple of laps after Milan and came out 6 seconds ahead of him (what a pit crew). I knew he was a bit quicker than me so I was pushing as hard as I dared and eventually made a slight mistake which helped close the gap to about 3 seconds. There were some scary moments throughout the race with lapped cars and quite a bit of lag especially when people were leaving the room.
About 5 laps from the end Milan had closed up to my bumper and we reached a couple of 550's battling for position. I don't know if they were aware of us or not but they were weaving across the track and I darted up the inside but Milan got caught. That cost him about 5 seconds and probably gave me the victory. Very unlucky Milan. Anyway he still caught me up again and we finished 1.6 seconds apart, very good racing.

Was I the only one who had some lags and disapearing cars???

Not the best result for me, but next time better luck.

At the end i had to save fuel, but i don't think that i could catch the Corvette.
