Euro GT: Spa

Lost connection after few lap on 2nd stint where i was imporving disastrous first 20 laps.
Yellow flag (?), or whatever it was, on 1st lap gave me huge fps drop and car was undriveable for 10 sec and i lost 6 positions.
Race was going well, beside this, all so close and baaaaaangggg...someone spun or crashed after Stavelot and it was a big pileup, 5 or 6 cars involved,mine too...so again yellow flags and fps down for 10 seconds.
Very unlucky race :(

great race ... needed fuel for one more lap to finish first. i calculated correct at start but stupid me pitted one lap earlier so there you go. i wanted to retire and i let the 550 go into the gardrail and brake late in La Source again angry. i said ok i continue and i went on 1st again after being passed. after pit i tried to save fuel bu realized it wasnt enough so pitted again. my "luck"... really don't know when i'll break loose of the "curse" :) previous time i finished the engine (radiator too low). i say again noob mistakes...

Good racing today!

Qual was a bit dissappointing considering I made a 6 tenth faster lap in practice, was 5th in the end.

Race included dozens of 550's even some of very fast drivers used it(you hear me, Milan!) :( In the half of first lap some Saleen spinned off giving me a 3rd position. I was behind Milan and Cristi in the 550's. Was very happy with the performance of the car, tires didnt overheat and oil and water were on ideal temperature. Took a full pit with 4 tires.

Back on the track I was 11th or so. In the next 3 laps I was back to 3rd. Nothing special happened all until 34th lap, When Christi went outta fuel and giving me the 2nd(take that 550 again hehehe).

Finished 12 sec or so behind Milan in the 550 which was pretty OK for me in the Saleen.

If I ever said that 550 is not too fast, now I can say it sure is :P

Congrats podiums ... another stupid pit tactic for me ... Lambo drew up the whole freakin tank ( 80 L + 100 L ) ... and the last 2 laps I made only with 5th and 6th ... Uffffff !

had a good race, was 6th on the 2nd to last lap, guy in front made a big mistake and lost a lot of time allowing me to catch him and battled with him for next lap then i lost connection with less than half a lap to go. cant have sunk in yet because i havent broken anything yet.....

next race if it is a 30 minutes race i will put 100 L just to be sure.

Its always better to have more fuel than your need. Sometimes feul calculation is a bit wrong and u may consume more than what calculation says. Adding to that in gtr2 having more fuel doesnt effect laptimes too much, so no need risking it :P

Had a Very nice quali, and thats about it in this race

Joco started my race by passing me in Eau Rouge and then pushing me off the track ontop of Eau Rouge, i was not happy with this move, you know there is a car next to you, so why dont you leave a little bit of space, its the first lap, you already made a position, so why ruin my race ??? Im not impressed ..

So i rejoined in 10th and had to fight back, these next 4 laps were awesome, the racing was good and was expecting to finish with a big smile ...

Then i got it wrong at stavelot, and rejoining the track i had 3 cars behind me fast, Mark Mclean was the clever one and passed on the right, i was not going to block anyone and was just trying to get upto speed again, i was slow to change to 4th watching my mirrors in panic and hoping this black lambo would pass on the right aswell it would all end well.. John Dixon however just rammed into me causing me to spin out and hit the wall, this caused lucien Cimpean and roberto massa to get involved aswell .. sorry to you this had to happen. then i tried to limp away into the pits as i was pretty damaged and unfortunaly car spun and i got in the way of Charles hodges trying to miss the mess, sorry dude .. im glad that didnt end your race.

What a load of

Decided to start from the back to have some fun. Had some great battles along the way. Apologies to Heinz who I hit whilst coming around Mark, I just didnt see you until it was to late.

Had a good battle with George for 4th, but he had a small half spin that allowed me past. Then Cristi pitted which gave me 3rd at the end. Not bad at all from the back!

Well, like Cristi said, we both are completely mess :) but he did bigger one ;).

My bright strategy said, I could start with 90 ltrs and tyre compound (soft-medium) yes, yes crazy.
About 14th lap my crew screaming me "tyres worm, tyres worm" OK, ok .. Im said. My laps was 3 seconds slower and I decide to pitted earlier then planned and did it in lap 16, with new idea to change tyres to medium-medium and refuel enough for rest laps (20 laps exactly). And what I did, changed fuel to 97 liters and forget to change tyres to med-med, then I stayed with new soft-med. Hooh, and 20 laps remaining.
What can I said Cristi was a lot faster in last 6-7 laps and he regain the lead but when he pitted I was surprised and just cruised to the finish with really slow laps (yes Joco :)) checked my lap times at the end of both stints.
Well at the end I can be satisfied with my math calculations in car driving 300 km/h and finished race with 0.7 liters fuel :)
