Euro nGT: Oschersleben

Quali was a suprise. I was expecting Marko to walk away with it but I was able to put in a few solid laps and beat him.
The race started as I expected. I'm never gonna beat a group of rear engined Porsches in a traction race, so I was pleased to keep 2nd. Kept right on Markos bumper (well... sort of). He was warping a bit so I kept my distance, but he was right on the edge so I wanted to be close enough to take advantage if/when he went off. It happened about half way through the fuel run, and I passed him on the backstraight.
My inlap before the pits was awful. Got held up, then saw "you have been booted from the game" at the top of the screen and thought it was me for just long enough to screw up the tripple, then realised it was for Tom Rue (unlucky Tom). My pitstop was also awful, I filled the tank because I had no idea whether I'd made it to half way (why the hell doesnt that car have a clock?!?). Came out eventually in 4th, behind Mark McLean. Chased him down as we both passed Martin Mraz (no tyres I assume?), then just as I was lining up for a pass, my engine blew. nGT engines never blow in 1 hour races, so I dont know where my luck has been this week, but it had better be back by tomorrow. Oh well, onto next time I guess...

Quali:
Quali was OK, had about half a second more, but it wasn't possible to find it today.

Race:
I drove badly, few mistakes. I'm glad we're done with Oschershit.

Congrats Marko and Mark. Tough luck Scott.

1st big apologize for punting Pete at 3/4 of race (Nissan, i guess, was the car).
Too many mistakes, it could have been a better result.
BTW these cars are nice to drive!

Qualy was as usual .. bad .. should've been able to dip in the 26s .. i seem to take a while to warm-up .. so 10 minutes seems too little for me . .but i'm not complaining .. i must work on that

Race .. i belive my strategy was bad .. and suffered the same warm-up problem as in qualy .. so a few cars passed me on the first lap. tried to recover but more mistake came .. some which resulted in a few contacts for which I apologize

But I really enjoyed that considering it was Oschershit as Enis correctly puts it.

Made too many little errors and my tyre choice could have been better.

I followed a number of cars who were right over the lines at T4 80

Dennis sorry I gave you a hard time at the end but I got NO blue flag and I was chasing Russ. I just thought you were some lunatic who had just pitted and thrown some softs on.

My race was a bit of a tragic comedy. I switched my tabletop lamp on just before the race started and that effected my DFP, lost all FF for the whole race :-(

Race was actually going well, was having a nice battle with and Chris and Russel (think it was)
Came in for quick fuel stop only with about 17mins left on the clock, got a damn S/G for pit lane speeding (thought the limiter zone was by the lights?)
- anyways forgot I needed to hit the pit in button for the S/G and Tried 2 more unsuccessful attemps at making my stop-go :-)
before I got it right.
Things could of been a lot sweeter.

holy crap that was a tuff race -
tight corners and no place to pass safely as i was nervouse as a cat coverd in shit when getting lapped -
got the blue flag warning X2 and had to yield to a better .
otherwise - im glad thats over- had some good racing - and a big scare with a porshe -
stayed in the white lines as directed and probly drifted on accident scareing the crap out of whoever was behind me - including myself LOL good racen all!
congradulations to winner and podiums!

I think that was me Russ. It's a good job I've got brown upholstry! At least I think the upholstry was brown before I started?

Qual: hmm not so good.Still 2 place but could be better.Run at some traffic and putting not enough fuel...

Race: had a good start , overtaking Scott , but my setup was some kind of experiment witch doesn't prove to be good today.Made some mistake 10min later and went to grass , where I was overtaken by Scott.Followed him until the box , where I lost contact of everyone in front and was 20sec ahead.
From there on , it was just riding behind slower,laped cars.

Good pace Mark , with this setup and tires I had ,you sourly was caching up.

I got an important call right after race started, so I had to park it.
