The qual went OK, considering I practiced for just 12 minutes...

Start of the race was dissapointing, Allen with his Viper took my position. Later I punctured him and I must say sorry for that. Lost 3 positions and soon overtook George. I was behind Alexandros. We were fighting alot and in the last lap he ran out of fuel...

Special Grats to Janko for outstanding performance, and applause for the rest.

Quali:
Quali went decent as in getting 2nd place, but laps weren't good.

Race:
Went as I expected. Menaged to hold off Ari for 7 laps. In lap 7 exiting T8 I've gone a bit wide and that was enough for Ari to get by. Once he stuck his nose inside I saw no need to try and keep the position as he was faster than me.

From then on till last lap I lost 20 seconds to Ari, that's in just 14 laps. Shows how fast he is, or how slow I am. Also, me being terribly inconsistent didn't help either.

I knew I had nothing for Ari nor for Janko, so finishing 3rd is like winning.

Congrats Janko, and Ari too. Great performance, as expected.

I don't think I had a bad start but Alexandros had a better one. I heard the car but could not see it which resulted in a touch, sorry Alexandros (I lost positions anyway, lol). The chance was used by George Pol, who also slipped by. I was a bit deconcentrated and touched George another time - sorry to you, too. I'm glad the touches were light so no positions were lost.
Had a close duel with George then for a few laps then got a lucky exit and slipped by. It wasn't easy, though, we were side by side for several corners until I finaly made it on a back straight. Good driving, George.
It was similar with Alexandros, he drove very well and I couldn't pass on braking. So I kept pushing until I made it by. Great driving, Alexandros, very intense, but safe.
Then I was able to make a small gap and conserved tyres. Only to the end I started to watch the fuel indicator. Alarm!!! Had to short-shift for the last quarter of the race. Thankfully Alexandros had a close battle with someone (sorry, couldn't see who) which enabled me to drive 2 sec per lap slower and I was able to drag to the finish with 2 litres of fuel on board.
Finished 4th and happy.
The fight between the other two Legends Don Wright and Mark Jonzo must've been intense. All in all - nice results, teamies!

Laki you gave me a hard time at Dubai - and my team mate if I'm not mistaken.

You did it again today! Coming up to T12 you tried to take the inside and nudged me, cause there was no way you were going to get by there but you just kept straight on coming no brakes! and off I go and you just scamper off!!

I rush my feckin knackers off to get home for these events and this pisses me off.

I cocked up at Dubai and ruined Johans race (I rightly got penalised for that) and you can rest assured I have learned my lesson and will not make that mistake again - will you?

The really annoying thing is you were probably quicker than I was and if you had just been a little more patient could have made a clean pass!

I got off the line quite well,but had to ease up for the car in front which resulted in a stream of cars going by on both sides.Then in the braking zone at t1,someone barreled down the inside turning himself and 2 others around,even then after sneaking through those cars,i was still in 15th from 10th on the grid.It was just a matter of settling in taking advantage of any mistakes.I had a good little battle with Nick for a few laps,changing positions a few times.Then towards the end i came up on Allen who was obviously struggling,but just couldn't get a decent run on him and had to settle for 8th.

Apologies to Brian for our coming together, you were quicker in straights and me through corners, I worked that out the hard way early on!

Apart from that great battle low top 10 tooing and froing between us and when the man said tyres worn with a lap and a half to go I thought sod it and tried to get a couple more places but not to be.

Good fun though and finally picked up some points!

I had to join without any practice before qual, so not very good but I got a reasonable lap in. For some time I was trying to pass Enis, which was difficult probably because his ping seemed slightly high so the movements were somewhat erratic.

Once I made it, I caught Janko but he made no mistakes and Viper has so much more straightline speed than the other cars that I couldn't do anything more than follow.

Joined the race, and decided to try viper, never drove it, used default setup, and somehow got pole... I had no experiance with the car, but seems like its too fast on straights considering its class... It turns not so well, but speed gives it a big advantage. All those HP ment i got off line OK and was able to keep 1st.

In the last half car was a lot slower then in part1 somehow, even though i used MED-HARD tires... I knew i would finnish 1st if i didnt make a mistake and that worked out ok...

Ari was faster with his porsche, but this car of mine was realy too fast for him. I dont belive i could challange him if i had porsche, so grats to him.

That was my best performance so far in r2p. It's the only circuit that i had practiced before heading into the race.

I had a pretty good start gaining one position and then I took advantage of the crashes in front of me to find myself in fourth. I had an amazing fight with Tom and Joco if I remember correctly. Both these guys drove amazingly, but were running a completely different setup to mine. They both had at least 10 more km/h on the straight but i had more grip getting inside the turns so i could brake at least 50m further making it difficult for them to overtake.

Tom got past at some point after a long play and i tried to keep up but he was faster so I ended up killing my tires. Then Joco also caught up and while I was able to keep him behind I run out of fuel. It seems I was overdriving as my fuel was calculated for 50 minutes.

Anyway guys great race, I really enjoyed it.

Turned up with no setup prepared and so literally was trying a different arrangement each time i went out to do a run instead of practising/quallying. Got a compromised setup together but wasnt happy with it. Qualied lowly 15th :(
Had a cracking start off the grid (love standing starts), made up about 5 or 6 cars, but got squeezed and then nerfed from behind at T1 and dropped back down to 17th ! :-( ....i guess 20+ cars into 1 corner never fits.
Fought my way back upto about 12th only to run wide at a corner and lose all my places again down to 16th.
Spent rest of race playing catching up, got past a few drivers including a great fight with C. Cocian?? and a fantastic classic Viper v Porsche fight with B Fairley for last 8 mins of race, eventually getting past him on penultimate lap! :-)
Brought the car home 12th but cant say i enjoyed my setup or my race other than the few battles. Without the T1 incident could have been a corker.
