V8 Adelaide

it was all going so well (was in 6th i think) behind 2 of my team m8s andy and allen just cruising along then i clip the kurb before the long straight and into the wall i go.

i could not believe the damage i got for a 20mph crash.

was in the pits for 2 mins by that time i was 2 laps down and race over.

Menaged to get a pole, though lap wasn't good at all.

Race:
Janko was much better on worn tires, that decided the battle between the two of us.

Few laps before the end I spun it, while I was second, had 18 s to the 3rd, but was unlucky that there was traffic coming my way so I had to wait before I get going. Lost me 30 seconds there and dropped to 4th. Shitty race, though I have no one but myslef to blame for the spin.

Enough driving for me this weekend, I better quit while I can.

Qualed in 6th, unbelievably. Which in hindsight was a bad idea.... :P

What happened to the top 4 guys at the start? You guys just sat there when it went green. I nailed the light, and dropped the clutch, and got almost no wheel spin, like a perfect launch. But I almost creamed the back of whoever started 4th, had to take evasive maneuvers and lost all my momentum. Then proceeded to get eaten alive by the pack behind us in the first chicane. I felt like a pinball. hehe. It was like tossing a cat in the dryer.

After things settled down, fell into a good battle with George Pol. Good stuff there.

Funniest moment: Sometime early on, I was behind two guys who were nose to tail going into the first chicane. The first car went in too hot, clipped the curb full on it looked like. Don't know if it got help from the 2nd car, but the first car did a barrel roll in the air and landed on its roof! I laughed so hard I almost smacked into the wall at the next turn. LOL :D

Fun stuff, see you guys at the next one, hopefully it's not a street course so there is a little more run off room in turn 1. :)

The qual want OK, just managed to get 3rd in the last lap.

I had an awesome start of the race! I have got the pole after the Senna chicane, but that almost caused me to spin(see the picture). Soon Enis overtook me and I must say he's real fast in these cars.
For about the whole race I was never alone. Mostly I was surrounded by Andy and Mark, which were driving real fair. We had some fun. The pits went OK, finished with 120L of fuel.

But I made the biggest mistake in the last(!!) turn! I spun off a bit and that was enough for Mark to take the 2nd!

Damn, it'd be nice if two Slovenians(which, are also in the same team :P) were 1st and 2nd!

- my pc liked the track with a few cars - but a standing start killed the FPS - i thought i would DQ myself for lagging so bad , until the pack got off my screen my game wouldnt clear up - - had a good time though, alls i wanted was to finish actually - i know until i get a better pc im just gonna be on the sunday drive so to speak - thanks for the patience to the faster guys -

Pretty action packed event. Cars were everywhere at the start. I had a ringside view of all the mayhem too, as I crashed in qual and had to start from rear! Was quite fun picking and choosing the right line through the flying and spinning cars! Might have felt differently had one tagged me though! :)

Advanced up pretty quickly in the first stint and before long was chasing Gregg for 10th or so. unfortunately, I gave him a little nudge in turn 5 and around he went. Damn it! Sorry Gregg. Slowed up to let you by again, but only ended up losing 4 spots while never seeing you again?

Regained my composure and carried on anyway(with guilty conscience)hehe. Had some great battles over the laps with you guys. The best was near the end though, Steve got by me with 5 laps to go, bugger, and then kept slipping up putting us side by side several times. Awesome action. We actually drag raced to the checker!

Looks like good fun for this series! Can't wait for the next. I'll probably run some laps ahead of time though. Competetion is pretty tough here now!

Was a great race for me. Didnt start OK, lost 1 possition on the start and was 3rd. Then i spinned coming into last turn and lost few places got back on track in 9th possition.

I thought it was impossible for me to get 1st after that, so hoped for podium. But somehow i got back into a great pace and cought other guys very quickly. Made a bit of divebomb pass to one of red Holdens, hope it wasnt too much of a contact there. Then i managed a good pass on Joco and Andy, we were 3wide but i got the better of it. My tires were great even when worn so i was able to get to Enis and overtake him, then i stayed in lead till the end.

Great series, great racing all of you. I hope we can repeat this again Joco :). Thnx to backmarkers they were moving away, sometimes even too much for their good. Had no problems with any of them.

Pretty decent race. Sorry Jerry. The green lights totally got me by suprise. I saw you in my mirror trying to drive around me. Going into 1, I see I'm 3 wide, slowed and turned the wheel it just went straight. Tried to slow down not to merge into the track to hard and then some one hit me, spun me out then another guy hit me. All said and done, I'm second to last. Get back on track, start picking guys off. Got up to 7th. Final laps, I start catching Rory King, and both catching Pete Bunce. Rory got by after we had to scramble for a spun car on the exit before Adelaide Straight. I was quicker than Pete, but he did a great job keeping me behind. My rears were toast and he just had the perfect exits every time. I had a great time. And sorry again for the start and my goof in turn 1.

Well that was bloody wierd! I qualified 8th, then noticed that the grid listings went straight from 7th to 9th! Huh? Hit the start button & there I was parked down at turn 3 (or whatever it's called, the one after that chicane thingy). Re-tried a few times, but nope, a T3 start it was. I had no real choice but to wait for the whole field to pass and tack on the back. I then decided to make my first stop there & then, first to get some clear track and second, to make sure I actually had a crew to service me! Fortunately I did, and all went well from there - except the tyres were well shot at the end of each stint, which made for a very interesting finish in a close battle with Rory & Kevin. Lost out to Rory, but kept Kevin behind - nice racing guys, it would've been so easy to give me a little nudge :)
