PLMS: Jiading

Well I feel as though I won and should get max points, as I finished w/less than a 20 sec gap to Conor after 1.5 hrs! LOL

Actually that went by quickly, and was quite pleasant. You guys need to jump back in this, would have been more fun with more traffic and more people to run with.

Unfortunate to see a low attendance and a shorten race after a promising field at the start of the season but its good to see some dedicated folks still sticking around :).

As for the race...if it was 2.5 hours I probably would have lost my mind because it was damn DARK!!! Holy cow, I couldn't see a damn thing...Braking wasn't too much of a problem since they were mostly trackside objects that I used for brake points, but I just had to guess where the corners were towards the end of the race because they were difficult to point out.

Safe race all in all though, despite the heavy darkness. I had no incidents, traffic behaved, and the GTR-1s passed me efficiently so I thank them for that :). It was kinda boring but not terribly since Tommy kept a relatively close distance to me for the whole race so I kinda had to stay awake ;).

Right....where to start...

The last couple of weeks I didn't touch my wheel, so I expected to be way off pace. Then I quallied 2nd, which surprised me.

So I thought 'take it easy there, I will screw the race up anyway'. So the race got underway, Allen nearly got me in turn 1 in lap 2, but I managed to keep enough speed to get next to him again in the left-hander and pass him back. After about 6 laps I went in too hot at the forst corner, so I spun. I recovered, Allen took advantage and I went back to third. I tried to regain my pace again and decided to wait for something to happen. Then Allen had a slower exit than usual out of the last hairpin and I managed to pass him again.

Things went allright from then on. I made my pitstop with 45 minutes left. Allen went in the lap after and came out of the pits when I got onto the s/f straight. He had cold tires so he decided not to give me a hard time (thanks for that mate :))

Finished 2nd in the end. A good day for me and a near-perfect day for team Marsh.

Can't tell how happy I am the race was only 1,5 hours. I can't tell if I ever drove in this kind of darkness before. I really don't think so.

Congrats Nuno and Conor (I guess??). Where do you get that speed from mate? Did you install a supercharger on your engine or something ;-)

Well not sure I enjoyed the shorter race, didnt bring in the crowd as expected, but did stop Nuno lapping me 5 times! Tried to run Nunos set up and was 2 secs slower but swtched it to my on set after qual. Race wa uneventful, swapped places with my teamy Mau a few times but didnt want to pressure him, and to be honest he had me beat here so thats the last set up I give him.,..lol. When it got dark, it really got dark, had to guess where to turn in which was scarey. Grats to Nuno n Connor on the wins, see u all for the next 1.

Had a good battle with B Fay for a few laps at the start. I was 20 seconds behind at the halfway pitstop. Gained ten second on him on pit exit. On one of the last few laps B Fay crashed giving me 4th. At the end I was almost out of gas, but so was Allen COtton who slowed way down and was just ahead of me. Too bad I didn't have just 1 more gallon, or I would have stolen his spot as well.

Still some fun driving in these cars with these drivers. Too bad the field isn't larger, but I think if all the races are shortened the field will grow.
