Sorry folks, but I just can't drive in the dark, so quit before taking the green. I was bad enough in daylight practice, but you sure as hell would not have wanted to be near me in those conditions!

Well, I feel I should have won that. Got pole by well over a second using race setup, so I was really confident going into the race.

On the formation lap, despite me requesting that nobody use headlights until we spread out (they really wouldnt have been necessary for at least an hour, and it would really help a lot of peoples FPS at the start) Scott Arrington decided he'd use them anyway, which screwed up my FPS and meant I couldnt see my braking markers. But he was kind enough to turn them off half way around the formation lap, but turned them right back on again just as I entered T1! The suprise meant I missed my braking marker slightly, so you can imagine how suprised I was when Scott careened into the back of me! FIRST TURN OF A 2.5 HOUR RACE!!! If I hadn't been there he probably wouldn't have stopped until he reached the lake.
Next lap I was sitting behind Allen and suffered the embarrasment of doing exactley the same thing to him as Scott did to me. My sincere apologies Allen, but in my defense, you broke 50-75 metres earlier than my braking point, but thats really no excuse. I'm very sorry.
My car was badly damaged, but I was still able to pass Tim and Allen (who I let by after his spin) and catch and pass Scott who was 7 seconds up the road after the incident. Shortly after that though the damaged car got the better of me and I lost it coming out of the last corner, and that was it, I'd had enough. No way I'll be back, the racing in these things isnt very fun, driving standards weren't as high as I'm used to here, and I can't stand racing at night.

the race was going really well, i was 4th totally unexpected. and then my internet went down.
everyone was doing great and clean racing, but my internet had to ruin it for me

I'm not sure what happened. I don't know if I was dq'd by and admin or I missed a black flag? New to rFactor I could have completly missed something, but then again I was pretty damaged and off pace by a bit. On the long straight I hardly would get it in to 6th before braking. Oh well.

It was OK 2.5 hours.

Grats to Scott for a dominating win in GT1. Conor was absolutely on his game and I had a real tough time even staying with him. Awesome Run by him.

As to the lights situation, imo if we are running a race that starts at twilight we should be allowed to run our lights on the formation lap. To complain about someone turning their lights on when you specifically asked for them to wait seems rather odd.

I don't like the night racing in rFactor and if we are voting then I vote against it.

I knew this was gonna be bad... I didnt practise anything before the race...
I have to say sorry to probably lots of ppl, that got into accident because of me. I was realy having bad time at track, spinned probably 10 times... crashed into walls... etc.
Sorry to tim for closing stages crash i coused him lots of dmg probably so realy sorry :( This was realy a bad race for me and i hope its no hard feeling for all the baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad things i did in this race... :\
Sry again i will praccy more for next races, and make less mistakes i hope.

After watching the replay of the opening laps, I'd be surprised if we see the results any time soon. Plenty of cutting by the same guys lap after lap. Very surprising since I can't say that I saw any of that out of my windshield, but then again there were so many drivers that there was stuff happening all around the track (mostly great, clean racing). Absolutely no way 2 stewards could look after so many drivers. I'm curious to see if the results at the end of the event will stand.

Sorry to S Micheals for the spin but I"ll use the same reasoning you used, which is you braked alot sooner then I expected,totally my fault though, and thats why I let you back by.

After that he tangled with the leader and I got back by but traffic was brutal and I would lose 2 to 3 seconds a sector so maintaining a lead was very difficult.

After that S.Micheals got on the curbs through the last sector and lost the rear end and smacked into the wall.

As far as the lights rule,I asked my teamates about it and they said turn it on when we go green.which I don"t get why your making a fuss about it.It was dark on lap one, so why couldn"t we use them,doesn"t make sense to me.

Sorry for the nudge I gave you Johan. I had some trouble (like everyone as it seemed) judging my braking point. Hope it didn't do any damage.

After that I got back what I did to Johan. Got rammed in a braking zone at what appeared full speed. Slid into the pit entry. I tried to get back at the track as fast as possible, not thinking of the damage. With suspension gone on all four wheels, rear wing missing I had to go round another lap at crawling speed.

Thanks to the GT2's for being so cooperative even when they had to give a spot back. Great race guys.

@Event steward: In this thread http://www.race2play.com/homepage/show_posts/2289 Tim gave us the green light for using lights for the entire race. So why try to make us turn them off? That would create unnecessary dangerous situations, so I turned them on after the first lap.
