Panoz fun-run

Great to see the Panoz files being passed around to non Standard or Premium members.

Im just losing my fuckin patience with myself. Turned Conor around on lap 3 (sorry dude)taking us both off of the track. Then, now in 5th, I give too much throttle and spin. Now in 10th. Spent 20 mins or so catching Omar and trying to setup a pass. Make it only to suddenly see a blue flag....holy shit the leaders already???? Next thing I know, I'm trying to find them in my rearview and ended up in the fence. Lost position to Omar and the rest of the GTR-1 field again. To top it all off, I run out of fuel with 1 min to go ARGH! Tim was nice enough to push me over the start/finish to escape a DNF. Thanks dude and grats!

Watching the replay, my car was rubbing the track thru the oval section. GT2 cars would gain on me while I was sparking away. I really messed up the setup for this one.

I dont know what to say...
I am stupid as a mule.
I started with 71L of fuel, convinced that it will last me for 45 min. PFFF
I always sucked at maths.
Had to pit some 8 min before the end. But it doesnt end here, noooo. I had to go in the wrong pit lane as well. Do i need to say more?
That was the bad thing about this race. Now here's a good part. I had amazing 40 min. of racing, and that's why i came to this place. Congtats to Tim who drove a great race and won.

Well...that worked out better than I thought it would :).

I originally planned on running the GT2 but I couldn't really get a grip with that car so with 5 min left in practice, I went with the GTR1. First time in the car and I was able to adapt quick, but not quick enough. For qual, I went with my race setup to learn the car a little more and I was easily off pace compared to Goran and Tim in front of me. Still landed 3rd though, so it wasn't all bad.

For the race, I stalled the car right on the beginning of the formation lap because of a really high 1st gear but luckily I got it going again. On one of the first laps going into the hairpin section, I was punted by Bob which sent us both off and gave Omar the spot (NP Bob, just a racing incident). I got going again and quickly chased down Omar for 3rd. For the next 3/4ths of the race, it was pretty uneventful because I just didn't have speed like Tim and Goran did. However, with about 10 min left, I noticed that my fuel level was kinda low and then remembered I forgot to put in the extra 3 min of fuel for the formation lap..DOH! No matter though, I couldn't catch Tim and I did manage to get 2nd after Goran had his fuel troubles so I was at least happy to be the first loser :P. I finally pitted with 5 min left and just cruised home for 2nd.

Not a bad finish for the first time in these cars. I didn't have a great run as I preferred the GT2, but I just really dislike this track and couldn't get a handle on it. The GTR1 felt much better here so I am pleased I stuck with it :).

Cheapo top 5. Bob deserved it. These are terrific but will take some getting used to. Thanks for the file R2P. Thanks for the race Tim and Todd.

I did 2 laps before in the GT1's around the track and said "fuhgedaboutit" never on the track and these were abit much to learn. I went and did an "unreg" and signed back up in the GT2 class, much more my speed in rFactor. Five laps of practice, no setup except for what I had from Sebring, which felt ok, until I remembered the oval. Now 5 laps into the race and the tire indicator is telling me that the right front is 248 degrees!!!. I went 13 laps or so and came into the pits, no fuel needed but forgot what to do to get tire??? doh! So i left and found that they are replaced :) I was getting good times so I adjusted my line on the oval and ran way up high to take the scrubbing off...it worked, got it down to 228 and went the distance.
Loads of fun great driving Tim, awesome watching you guys fly by on the backstraight.
Omar, that was a crazy attempted pass, it looked like you might have misjudged it or it was crazy?? Glad to see you recovered and maintained your position.

@Bob - man I noticed your car sparking, I was behind you for a couple and you were sure"Dragging Arse" LOL

@ Greg: I lost my braking point by looking at the time I was loosing to B. Fay... I was trying to runaway from him as he was catching me pretty fast.... :0 ...
