Euro PPRC: Trois-Rivieres

So I was the fastest Panoz by over a second, not only got the Panoz pole but quallied 3rd overall.

Then my race was ended on lap 1, turn 3 when I was hit from behind by a Porsche and put into the wall. The damage was fatal to the Panoz.

Disappointing does not even begin to cover it.

Very sorry for that contact(sorry Tommy)my front wheels locked and I couldn't avoid you.Sorry again!

totally suprised i got 2nd i thought i was gonna be in 4th or 5th :)

Well after qualifying a pretty good second in class i was feeling pretty good for race. Got a good start held position and then on the 4th corner coming off the long strait totally forgot where my breaking marker was and was very luck not to take anyone out. Sorry about that. Got going again in last and lost my head once again and went into the wall damaging my suspension. Managed to pick up a couple of places by the end and was steadily catching tom 2 or 3 laps more and i might of caught him. Quite happy with my pace not being too far off the rest even with my car trying to throw me into the wall.

I was doing ok till I smashed the wall.
The Panoz has a very weak front, you will lose the motor 90% of the time.

I had dropped behind the GTS front runners with a silly spin, but was running ok. Then I got a bit loose under the arch and hit the wall. It killed the engine, though it wasn't that big of a crash, as Jim says this car has a glass front.
More consistency would have had me fighting for the Panoz podium, need to work on that.

Sorry to hear that Tommy.I set the alarm clock,decided after i turned it off to lay there for a few more minutes.Woke up 1.5 hours later and race had already started.

Not a bad start for me in this one, the GTS can be a bit of a handful so was going pretty well but obviously towards the end the wrong choice of tires caught me out.

I was slower in practice and qual than the race so glad some of the faster guys got tangled up early to let me slip past. I guess it is the nature of the track that a slight off can cause a big incident so managed to sneak through when that occurred and tried not to make too many mistakes past that.

Really don't think name calling helps anyone by the way.

You can blame Jim day for this. He talked me into running the GTS only a minute before qualifying. I jumped in the car and loaded my Oran Park setup and got comfy during qual. I knew Tommy would be out of reach, so I was going for a good podium after starting well back in the GTS field.

Nice conservative start got me through the opening lap (everyone did really well from what I saw) and was just going to log some laps and let everyone else wreck off. Tommy had an issue very early on and I was running in a pack of GTS cars. I asked Pete over TS who the leader of GTS was just as I was passing Nick (I rode behind Nick for a while trying to find a way to pass). Pete replied, "You are now" !!! Ha!

Just drove it home from there. Kinda wished I knew Nick was the leader beforehand. I would have made a show out of it at least :-)

Great driving guys. Street courses can be hard, especially in traffic. Thats why I like em so.

Damn those tires then, did not realise I was leading at that point!

Could not do much about it at the end but we shall live and learn, once Dave said his tires were going I noticed mine as well.

Harder compound next time then! Or a wider car:-]
