Intro to PLMS (Euro)

This was kinda boring race for me... but i made it more interesting with all the spinning. I think i spinned like 10 times lol :) and also missed my pitcrew i had to reverse in pits :) Guess i wasnt concentrating enough, also watching Champions League during racing wasnt good idea :).

I was leading from start to finish in GT2 and had some nice time beeing lapped by the crazy prototype cars :P.

Happy with result and happy since this time i had no problems with my pedals :). Good race all of u and grats to Nuno for the win. (hope i didnt scare u too much there with my spin lol:)

Well, I accomplished what I wanted by figuring out if I could double-stint the tires in this monster. Turns out that my lap times don't drop off all that much even after 90 minutes on med/med tires, and I saved 25 seconds in pit lane by not changing rubber.

Very cool racing these things and lots of fun lapping the GT2 cars who were all excellent! No spins, no major errors on my part and a good 2nd place (first in class because Nuno is all on his own) as a result. Very pleased.

lol, I dunno how you haul butt that fast, Janko(and Nuno), but hats off to you. :)

As for me, Roberto made me drive my butt off. We were very closely matched and stayed within a few seconds of each other most of the race. I beat him at the pitstops by a 2-3 seconds but he made it up soon and was right on my ass in no time. I'd open up 1-2 seconds and the moment I didn't exit the corner with all my concentration, he'd fill up my mirror. He was on medium-hards while I was on medium-mid, so after a few laps, I'd slip and slide a little bit more but that's my problem as I didn't choose the right compound. Finally, I was trying to get a perfect exit onto the backstretch and slipped a bit and he got by. Still I stayed within a second of him all the rest of the way and managed to round out the podium, somehow.

I must say the Panoz is one of the most remarkable cars I've ever driven, atleast this GT2. Its just like driving a big, American stock car or a Ford Fairlane from the 60s. :) It moves around so much and the power-on oversteer is like biting into a triple-decker ham and cheese sandwich.. mmm.

Nice race guys. Congrats to Nuno and Janko. I wish I could keep my nerves together for the race. First I mess up after the start, then I messed it up some more throughout the race.

Well, anyway, can't wait until the PLMS series is going to start :-O

I had a little touch on the first laps and drove without something in my rear, but didn't notice something weird.
Even with tires on "yellow range" I managed to drove my constant-slow pace (2.05) with some 2.04.
After the pitstop I had another spin chasing Sandeep: eheh you had a little slide exiting from the hairpin and i completed the slide going stright in the tire-wall.....destroing both front suspensions!
After this the chase was though and letting pass the GT1 missiles addes spice times :)

I noticed the difference in tire compuund: Sandeep was very fast on fresh tires, on the other side i struggled (as always) on cold rubber, and I needed 5-6 laps to warm them!
Nice mod, never used before and in this race I used default setup with little tweaks, so I hope there's space to improve!

Oh, hehe, sorry about that. :) I was trying so hard to get a good exit I nearly lost the back-end there. I thought you'd pass me after I made that mistake but you lost control seeing me too I guess. :( Good thing it didn't cost you too much speed though. :)

Yeah Goran and you.Before the pitstop,i wasn't far off Sandeep and had a buffer to Goran,then way overshot my pitbox,reversed too far and had to go forward again.I came out behind Goran and poked the nose up a few times but he just wouldn't make the mistake i needed.

Grats to Nuno and Janco. I made 1 small mistake in 1st stint and 1 big error on 2nd but no harm done and no one else involved ;-). Spent the 2nd stint wondering when Tim was gonna pit as he was suddenly 31+ seconds ahead from a mere 8 seconds before the stop. Tried hard to reduce the gap thinking that if I could get it to arpund 20 secs I would take him when he stopped for his needed splash and dash. I couldnt believe it when with 5 mins to go he still hadnt stopped and was cursing "stop you f***er, stop" lol. It wasnt till post race he revealed his diabolical tactics that I saw what he'd done. Well done Tim and I will look at that strategy for next event!
