F3-E Italian GP Feature

Totally messed race. Bad start, had some fights with Tsarev but after 10 laps the tire has blown... I was like WTF!

Far too many self-induced spins cost me a sure 2nd place. I had a good start and was leading when I was punted going into the first chicane. I recovered to pass Grecian ( who was a perfect gentleman ) and then I began the first of 4 off that pushed me back to 6th. Joco's misfortune handed me 5th and I was happy with that.

The corner cutting in the chicane is getting ludicrous. At least once per lap a certain driver was using the cutting to gain an advantage and though he might be able to live with himself it really gets my goat. The rules about cutting are simple and plain and should be adhered to.

Was a real fun race, all the guys being well behaved (ok most drivers :D)

I enjoyed this and too add onto what Richard said, there was some sour moments but i didn't let it get too me and enjoyed myself :)

well isnt that what we have stewards for shouldnt they do something about corner cutting i know who your talking about richard and its crazy how they get away with it.

Not sure who was cutting chicanes, I certainely did on a few occasions when I missed my turn in but not on purpose.

I think its a fine line to draw, and I drive the line the real F1 drivers do (or try to), they do go up the kerbs with all 4 wheels in places but it can unsettle the car, but a delibrate cut should def not be allowed, Montreal will be a good example of Illegal cutting of chicanes as I have seen it in every series I have run in there and dont expect the F3's to be any different.

I agree Grecian...Once I stopped making mistakes it was a great race and I had a very good battle with Joco...It was a shame to see him go out that way...

John, I know it wasn't you cutting and in fact it was only one person...We all know in most real series they do use the curbing to their advantage and so they should...Here at R2P there are clear cut rules ( pardon the pun ) and we should all do our best to adhere to them...If it means a slower lap time to get through cleanly then so be it...It is one thing to overshoot your brake zone and skip over the curb but entirely another when someone turns in over top of the curbing to essentially straighten the corner out...

I qualified 6th, could be better, but still OK.

On the start me and Joco Gorenc couldn't accelerate fast and after T1 I found myself on the 10th place. Not the best beginning of the race.

After that better things began to happen. I outbraked Maurice Claessen in T2, Serge Borodin made a spin in T2 after curbhoping, then in Variante Ascari Craig and Andy crashed so after the lap1 I was back at 6th, where started. :)

On lap3, after Kirill's accident with Joco, I was 4th and tried my best to build the gap from them. While runnig away, I climbed to the 3rd on lap6, after Richard spinned in T2.

A few laps later Kirill was close on my tail. He was way faster so I let him go and tried to stick behind, using slipstream to assist me.

By that time we catched Grecian so I was waiting to try to take advantage of the Kirill vs Grecian battle. On the last lap Kirill made a mistake, Grecian spinned, trying to avoid his car and I settled on 3rd and 1/2 lap later finished, claiming my 2nd podium in the series.
